God's Gift

Lu Keming's voice faded into the black hole along with his figure, leaving behind only a bewildered little fish.

"I think I forgot to tell him." Yu Yun'ou looked at the calm sea, her gaze complex.

“Youyou is only six months old now. She hasn’t developed her cognitive abilities yet, so she can’t remember much in her brain.”

If you don't repeat things to her every day, she'll forget them after a few days.

Darkness enveloped Lu Keming from all sides, and he did not immediately return to his own time and space.

These images are like a scroll of life.

Every fleeting ray of starlight is a life; in the rapid compression of time and space, they experience birth, aging, and then death.

In the fleeting frame, Lu Keming caught a glimpse of Yu Youyou.

Lu Keming walked quickly to the painting and stared intently at Yu Youyou in the picture.

She seemed to have grown a bit since he left, her plump body now half a meter taller.

In the picture, she is still nestled in Yun'ou's arms, acting coquettishly. Her huge body pushes Yun'ou backward, but she doesn't even notice.

In the picture, Yu Yun'ou looks helpless as she looks at the little fish's body, seemingly feeling a headache.

Xiaoyu had too many questions, and Yu Yun'ou wouldn't give her an answer; she just kept repeating them in her ear like a megaphone. Finally, a flash of inspiration appeared in Yu Yun'ou's eyes, and she said to her:

"A long time is until tomorrow."

"Youyou will be able to become human tomorrow."

The little fish finally got a definite answer. She cheered excitedly, swam into the seaweed, and drifted off to sleep early, filled with anticipation for tomorrow.

But when she wakes up tomorrow, the little fish will still be a little fish; she will not have grown legs, nor will she have become a human.

The little fish swam up to Yu Yun'ou again, pressing her mother for an answer as to why she hadn't become human. But Yu Yun'ou was prepared; she countered by asking the little fish:

"Youyou, is it tomorrow yet?"

The little fish answered confidently, "It'll be tomorrow!"

“No.” Yu Yun’ou shook her head: “It’s today, Youyou.”

Xiaoyu's eyes gradually became blank. Her mind went through a few difficult circles and she was successfully tricked by Yu Yun'ou.

She replied with a sudden realization, "Oh, Mom... so it's today!"

The little fish didn't feel that its mother had deceived it. Instead, it swam around twice in the water and prayed in its most sincere voice:

"Please, let tomorrow come quickly."

So every day after that, the little fish dreamed one beautiful dream after another, filled with anticipation for tomorrow.

Seeing this, Lu Keming's smile deepened. He slowly raised his hand and touched her through the air.

But when he reached out to touch Yu Youyou in the picture, the light spots that made up the scroll began to float, and the picture gradually disappeared.

"Youyou!" Lu Keming watched the image gradually disappear, a look of panic flashing in his eyes.

His gaze followed the shimmering points of light, watching them form a new image in another location.

By this time, Youyou had grown to two meters long. In the darkness, accompanied by dark clouds and moonlight, she stealthily made her way to the shore.

Countless tall buildings stand on the land by the sea. She hid behind the rocks, her dark eyes curiously staring at the brightly lit buildings.

A few children who hadn't gone home all night were walking by, carrying buckets and discussing where to go to collect crabs.

The little fish glanced at the children, its eyes darting around, and then silently disappeared into the water.

As the children approached the rocks, she suddenly stood upright in the water, her eyes flashing with light that shone on the children.

"Aaaaaah!! There's a monster!" The children screamed after a moment of stunned silence, forgetting even to pick up their buckets, and scrambled away in a panic.

"Hahaha..." Little Fish let out a strange laugh as she watched the child running away quickly.

She flipped herself back into the water and patted her round belly with her fins.

Hearing the strange noises behind them, the children cried even louder and ran away several times faster, quickly disappearing from the beach.
