Chapter 523 Main World: The Sea of Death
A beep sounded in the empty cabin.
Lu Keming suddenly opened his eyes, staring at the hibernation pod door above him, his chest heaving violently.
He pushed open the hatch with his pale hands, got up, and climbed out of the hibernation pod.
His body, still stiff from being dormant for so long, took a few seconds to calm down before slowly opening his eyes and looking at where he was.
This is not the hibernation room of the Birdsong Academy.
The air in the black hangar was not circulating, and the damp, musty smell mixed with the smell of paint rushed into his nostrils. The strong, pungent smell made Lu Keming raise his hand to shield his nose. He looked around at the six hibernation pods that were piled up haphazardly.
Lu Keming's gaze searched over the hibernation pods.
Where's Youyou?
He walked through the mixed hibernation pods and soon spotted the one with Yu Youyou's name tag.
The floor kept shaking. Lu Keming steadied himself and walked a few steps to the hibernation pod, only to find an empty pod.
The cabin had grown cold, indicating that its owner had been gone for a long time.
"Young Master, you're awake!" Anthony's voice reached Lu Keming's ears first, followed by the sound of his leather boots stomping on the floor.
Lu Keming turned to look at Anthony and asked without hesitation, "Where's Youyou?"
Anthony grinned broadly. "The young mistress is already awake; she's on the deck."
“Deck…” Lu Keming repeated the word, “Are we on a ship?”
“Yes, young master.” Anthony nodded, then said to Lu Keming, “Young master, the head of the family is waiting for you in the driver’s seat.”
"He's here too?" Lu Keming frowned slightly and followed Anthony toward the driver's seat.
Many soldiers in blue dragon uniforms passed by them along the way. As the soldiers passed by, Lu Keming stopped, saluted him, and then left.
Lu Keming looked at the nameplates of the soldiers, his gaze sharpening slightly.
These are all elite soldiers of the Blue Dragon.
Lu Keming frowned and followed Anthony through the long corridor, finally arriving at the driver's seat.
He looked at the man standing with his back to him and stopped in his tracks.
Louis stood in front of the windshield of the driver's cab. Outside the glass was the endless sea, while inside, the dashboard emitted a faint green glow, the air was filled with the bitter smell of coffee, and the electronic instruments were constantly humming.
Lu Keming paused for a moment before finally walking to Lu Siyi's side, his gaze following Lu Siyi's downwards.
The cursor on the radar screen rotated and scanned slowly, but the sea chart it outlined showed nothing but a few seabed reefs.
Lu Keming looked away uninterestedly and turned to Lu Siyi: "Did you prepare this ship?"
“Otherwise?” Louis asked calmly. “You just opened the passage to the main world without any preparation.”
Lu Keming twitched the corner of his mouth and casually changed the subject: "Why did you bring so many Blue Dragon soldiers here?"
Louis, still focused on the radar that was constantly detecting targets, began to speak:
"We can't rely on just a few of you to deal with Dark Star, can we?"
"Although they're not as capable as you, they can still be of some help." Lu Siyi quickly changed the subject, pointing to the radar screen and saying to Lu Keming:
"We have been sailing at sea for a day and a night, but so far the crew has not found any navigational markers."
"The radar did not detect any islands or land near the ship."
“There are no shipping lanes here, and we can’t connect to this world’s satellite positioning system.” Louis frowned, his eyes filled with worry.
"Now we have also lost contact with Dark Star, and it will probably be a problem to find its true form before it does."
Upon hearing Lu Siyi mention Dark Star, Lu Keming's gaze sharpened slightly. He waited for a long time, but Lu Siyi never asked him any questions.
Lu Keming raised an eyebrow and asked, "Don't you want to ask me about the fire seed?"
"The spark?" Lu Siyi turned to look at Lu Keming and chuckled lightly. "You mean the spark you swallowed?"
"It should have become one with you by now."
Looking at Lu Keming's expressionless face, Lu Siyi sneered, "You've already devoured it, what's the point of me asking again?"
Lu Keming chuckled lightly, his voice devoid of any respect: "I disrupted your plan to revive her, aren't you angry?"
Louis withdrew his hand from the radar, looked at the azure sea, and remained silent for a long time.
Do you think I would believe that Dark Star can really resurrect your mother?
“How should I know?” Lu Keming’s expression was somewhat impatient as he stared coldly at Lu Siyi.
"Isn't it just so you can revive her that you've been forcing me to search for the spark?"
