God's Gift

The title fell lightly, yet it stirred up a tremendous wave in Dark Star's heart. Dark Star's neck made a soft "crack" sound as it slowly turned towards the colossal fish in the sky that blotted out the sun.

Oshi's father?

"How can there be two O'Shis?"

Dark Star's voice crackled with panic as it looked up at the other Oshi and hissed, demanding:

"Oshi, shouldn't you have died long ago? Why are you still here!"

Above the dome, the giant fish slowly lowered its head and looked down at the dark star. Its eyes were like lighthouses on a dark ocean, their light piercing through the thick haze, making even the brilliance of the Eye of Helya pale in comparison.

The giant fish ignored Dark Star's roar and looked at the riddled Yu Youyou.

Raindrops gathered from all sides, and a deep, mournful cry emanated from the giant fish's throat. This cry pierced through the thick clouds and echoed across the entire land.

In an instant, the flow of time stopped.

The world seemed to have been paused; the raindrops hung suspended in the air, and the person who had been lying on Youyou stopped moving.

Tears still streamed down Xiao Ou's face. She remained in the position of crying with her mouth wide open, but she was too shocked to make a sound. She could only stare blankly at the giant fish in the sky.

Dark Star looked around and found that all the humans except for Little Gull were still.

As it remained stunned, Yu Youyou struggled to open her increasingly heavy eyes, her voice weak but clear:

"The ocean... has never had more than one god."

Oshi, as a father, and Oshi, as a child, both exist in the ocean.

When a father dies before his child reaches adulthood, the father's spirit remains in the child's body until the young Oshi grows up to be able to shoulder everything.

"He's always been with me." Yu Youyou looked up at Ou Xi in the sky, her voice very soft:

"My father has never left me."

As she spoke, the giant fish swam toward the Eye of Hela and swallowed it whole.

Darkstar stared in disbelief at the scene before it, clearly sensing that the power of Hela's Eye had been suppressed in an instant and lost its connection with it.

The sky, now devoid of Hela's Eye, has darkened once more, except for the giant fish's eye, which remains bright.

After swallowing Helya's Eye, the giant fish's figure gradually disappeared, replaced by a human figure.

That's a man.

He stood in the sky, his eyebrows and eyes as beautiful as an oil painting, his face as pure as snow on a high mountain, and his hair as blue as the sea under a clear sky. His overly beautiful appearance made him look somewhat unreal.

He stepped on the raindrops, feeling as light as a feather, and moved toward Dark Star at an incredible speed.

What followed was an immense divine power that tore the Dark Star's avatar apart inch by inch.

Under such tearing force, Dark Star's face was distorted. Watching its body being gradually torn apart, it glared angrily at the man and shouted:

"Oshi!"

The next moment, its cries vanished along with its body.

After the pseudo-dark star disappeared, the world fell silent.

The man slowly walked up to Yu Youyou. He looked down at the wounds all over her body, his gray-blue eyes as cold as a frozen ocean.

He squatted down in front of Yu Youyou, opened his hand in front of her, revealing what was in his palm.

That was Hela's Eye, shrunk to the size of a marble.

He placed the Eye of Hela in his hand on Yu Youyou's hand bones, and gently stroked the top of her head:

"Thanks for your hard work."

A gentle breeze rose from the ground, carrying the stench of rust and blood, making the man's figure appear somewhat transparent.

Yu Youyou watched the man's body begin to dissipate and asked, "Are you leaving, Dad?"

The man nodded slightly, turned to look at Xiao Ou behind him, and got up to walk towards her.

He stopped in front of Xiao'ou, looked at her who was stunned and frightened, and raised the corners of his mouth to reveal a bright smile.

The smile eased Xiao'ou's tension, and she stared blankly at the strange man in front of her.

The man's gaze was filled with deep longing, like the tender sea, reluctantly brushing over Xiao'ou's brows, her cheeks, and her hair, as if he wanted to see all of her.

Finally, he looked up into her eyes, his eyebrows curving into a smile, and called out in the same tone as always:

"Yu Yunou."

Just like he had called her name a thousand times before.

The man's figure became increasingly transparent, and before disappearing, he bent down and embraced Xiao'ou:

"Come find me quickly."

The sea-scented embrace held the little seagull close, and the last thing the little seagull heard him say was:

"I've been waiting for you for a long time."
