The road is right under your feet

Chapter 54: Saving People and Dogs

Su Shixuan pulled out the dagger without saying a word and stabbed it into the chest and abdomen again.

The blinding red flowed down along the light-colored clothes and onto the ground. Soon, the boy seemed to be kneeling in a pool of blood.

After two consecutive heavy blows, Su Shixuan's pupils began to dilate and his body became shaky, as if he would fall down at the slightest breeze.

But he never uttered even a cry of pain.

He raised his eyelids and took one last look at the dying animal on the ground. His eyelids became heavier and heavier.

Finally, he could no longer bear the burden, and his body fell heavily to the ground, closing his eyes completely.

The scene happened too quickly, and by the time everyone noticed, the young man had already fallen in a pool of blood.

Among the crowd, one person couldn't bear to see this and wanted to stand up for the boy on the ground, but was stopped by his companion. He whispered, "Are you going to die? This guy is the brother of the city lord's daughter-in-law. He is a well-known mad dog who bites whoever he catches."

The man finally fell silent. He was not alone and could not be provoked at all.

After a moment, he turned and left without saying a word.

His friend breathed a sigh of relief and quickly followed.

People passing by all avoided his gaze and walked very fast, fearing that they would not be able to avoid it.

Su Songjin's laughter stopped abruptly and his pupils shrank suddenly.

Su Shixuan's falling figure kept slowing down in front of his eyes, and finally became a double image.

Without warning, a mouthful of blood spurted out.

thump—

With a loud bang, Su Songjin fell to his knees, his fingers supporting himself on the ground turning white from exerting so much force.

His eyes were red as he stared at the figure in the pool of blood that looked like a corpse.

As he watched, a tear fell without warning. Then he laughed out loud, with a crazy look on his face, like a real madman.

He didn't wait long to laugh.

A figure quietly passed by the many guards and came in front of this madman.

He kicked out and swept across the madman's increasingly crazy face.

Su Songjin was caught off guard, and his laughter suddenly stopped. His face was deformed by the heavy object, and his body slid to the side uncontrollably.

A conspicuous mark was left on the ground, and one side of his cheek was also scratched with blood, leaving a bloody mess.

But he didn't seem to feel any pain. He lay on the ground with his eyes open, motionless.

There seemed to be traces of tears sliding down the dirty cheeks.

The guards on the side saw this, looked at each other, and swarmed forward.

The figure only glanced at the unconscious little beast and clenched his fists, as if suppressing endless anger.

Without saying a word, he punched the ground.

The stone floor was cracked inch by inch. It seemed as if there was endless lightning, bombarding the guards along the cracked ground.

The guards' bodies twisted into strange arcs as if they were electrocuted, and the expressions on their faces were distorted like those of madmen.

Finally, the charred body fell to the ground, with a smell of barbecue emanating from it.

The other guards swallowed and their legs trembled.

They looked at each other and saw the fear in each other's eyes.

A guard said weakly, "Who are you? Tell me your name. My son is the son of the Su family, and my sister is the daughter-in-law of the city lord. How can you be so presumptuous here?"

Bai Xing sneered and ignored it.

He walked straight to the little animal and picked it up carefully.

The little beast was only the size of his palm, a small ball, but its body was covered with wounds and it was dying.

This made Bai Xing feel very distressed.

He held the little animal in his arms and stepped into a pool of blood. Not caring whether it would stain his clothes, he half-knelt down and tentatively felt the boy's breath.

There is still one breath left.

Shirahoshi took out a magical medicine that could stop bleeding from the ring, rubbed it with his hands until it was soft and dripping with water, and then covered the boy's wound with it.

Then he stood up holding the little beast in his arms. With a flash of lightning, he suddenly appeared in front of a guard.

The guard was horrified, his eyes rolled back and he fainted.

Bai Xing curled his lips, and his body flashed, appearing in front of another guard again.

He grabbed the man's collar with one hand and threatened, "If you dare to faint, I will torture your body to pieces."

The guard's legs were shaking and his eyes turned back abruptly, revealing pale pupils.

Bai Xing ignored the man's fear and said calmly: "Give me the elixir to cure diseases and save lives. Otherwise, I don't mind seeing a burnt black you on the ground."

The man trembled and said, "I, I don't have any elixirs. But my young master does."

Bai Xing snorted coldly, loosened his collar, and was about to walk towards the madman.

But his wrist was grabbed, and he knew who it was without turning around, so he paused, turned around and asked the man if he had any instructions.

The prince threw a guard at his feet without saying a word. Bai Xing looked closely and found that the man was the guard who had fainted earlier.

Under Bai Xing's somewhat puzzled gaze, the prince said calmly, "He wanted to go back and tip you off when you were least prepared."

Bai Xing suddenly realized, "Thank you very much, Your Highness." Although he was not afraid that the man would tip off.

He turned around again, but his wrist was grasped by the prince with such force that he fell backwards uncontrollably.

Finally, she fell into the prince's arms.

He was concerned about the little beast in his hand and hurriedly distanced himself from the prince. As he was checking the little beast, the prince's voice came from above his head, "Young Marquis, I have the best elixir here, why are you going so far away?"

Bai Xing raised his head in confusion and said uncertainly, "Your Highness is willing to give me medicine?"

The prince looked at Bai Xing's face full of disbelief and frowned unhappily.

Without saying a word, he stuffed a pill into the little beast's mouth. Then, he slowly walked to the boy's side, took out a pill, and stuffed it into the boy's mouth.

Bai Xing was distracted for a moment, but the movement in his arms brought him back to his senses.

He lowered his head in delight, and saw the little guy, with a dazed face, sniffing him.

Afterwards, the little guy seemed not to smell the familiar scent and kept struggling in Bai Xing's arms.

Bai Xing looked at the little guy with a look of disappointment, "Little guy, your master doesn't like you and abuses you. Will you follow me from now on?"

The little beast seemed to understand what he said, and its eyes were filled with sadness.

It was as if all its life was drained away at once, and it lay in Bai Xing's arms with no desire to live.

Bai Xing felt both distressed and helpless.

He walked up to the boy who had already woken up and asked him in a low voice: "Your name is Su Shixuan?"

Su Shixuan looked at Bai Xing who suddenly appeared with a vigilant look on his face. When his eyes fell on the little beast in his arms, his eyes suddenly turned red.

He endured it, but didn't dare to act rashly, "Who are you? What do you want to do?"

Bai Xing seemed to be thinking about something. "Don't be nervous. I don't want to do anything. I just think you get along well with me."

As soon as he finished speaking, a pair of big hands embraced him.
