Crossing the Gods as Slaves

Chapter 99 Commander's Departure (1)

Ning Hua got up early in the morning, washed up, changed back into the dress she wore to the banquet yesterday, walked around the 99th floor, and found that the commander was not there. She was surprised, but also relieved.

Today is the first day of the new year. Ning Hua walked to the window and looked outside. It was all white outside. It was snowing again, and it was snowing heavily. She pushed the window open a little, and the cold wind immediately rushed in. The cold wind blew on her face, making Ning Hua shiver. She quickly closed the window again.

The commander was not there, and Ning Hua didn't know what to do. She went to the refrigerator in the kitchen and looked through it. There was only a lot of beer and a few boxes of milk. She picked up a box of milk and looked at the expiration date. It was produced just yesterday. Ning Hua took it out and drank a few sips. The milk was icy cold, and it brought a chill to her stomach when she drank it.

There was a knock on the door. Ning Hua thought it was the commander coming back, so he ran over in his slippers to open the door.

When she opened the door, she saw a uniformed waiter standing outside. He handed Ning Hua a set of clothes and said that it was ordered by Primo. He also said that the car back to the commander's residence was ready and would take her back to the commander's residence in a while.

Ning Hua took the clothes, thanked him, and closed the door. It seemed that the commander had already returned to the mansion. Ning Hua felt relieved, returned to the bedroom to change clothes, quickly packed up his belongings, opened the door and left.

The waiter who had just delivered the clothes was still waiting for her outside the house. Ning Hua smiled and gestured to the waiter, and the two of them took the elevator down to the first floor together.

Walking out of the hall, there was indeed a car parked outside the door. Hott stood next to the car door and saw Ning Hua coming down, so he opened the door for her.

After getting in the car, Ning Hua asked Commander Huot if he had gone home. Huot looked at her in the rearview mirror and replied, "Your Highness went home last night, but he went out again in the middle of the night. I don't know where he went."

Ning Hua nodded and said nothing more.

Primo was standing in the hall of the commander's mansion. Ning Hua saw him as soon as he entered the hall, so he smiled and said to Primo, "Happy New Year, Mr. Primo."

Primo glanced at Ning Hua and waved at her. Ning Hua walked closer and saw that Primo looked very serious. She immediately stopped smiling and stood up, asking him, "Mr. Primo, what's the matter?"

Primo pointed to a chair beside him and asked her to sit down and talk. Ning Hua sat down obediently, looking as if she was listening to his instructions.

"Ning Hua, did something happen in the conference hall last night?" Primo asked after Ning Hua sat down.

What happened? Except that the commander had flirted with her, nothing seemed to have happened. Ning Hua hesitated for a moment, not knowing whether to tell Primo about this matter. However, judging from Primo's expression, it should be something serious. After a few seconds, Ning Hua answered cautiously: "Nothing happened last night, except that Gene was drunk."

Primo frowned. "No wonder he hasn't come back yet. Don't worry about him. I want to ask you, what about His Highness? Has anything happened to His Highness?"

Ning Hua shook his head: "No, His Highness was forced to drink a lot of wine, but he was not drunk like Jin."

Primo exhaled heavily and thought deeply.

Ning Hua asked cautiously: "Mr. Primo, why do you ask this?"

"When His Highness came back last night, I had already rested. This morning, I heard from the guards that His Highness looked very bad when he came back. He also went out alone in a flying vehicle in the middle of the night. I am a little worried about him, but I don't know what happened."

When Ning Hua heard "the commander looked very unhappy when he came back", her heart skipped a beat. She was worried that the commander might be angry because she rejected him and then lectured him. But then she thought, it's better not to take the initiative to take responsibility for this kind of thing. What if something happened later that she didn't know about? So Ning Hua sat next to Primo obediently and didn't say anything.

Primo sighed for a while and then got up and left.
