Crossing the Gods as Slaves

Chapter 93 Blackmailing the Child (1)

After the New Year's bell rang, Sid asked the waiter to bring him his coat and put it on, then he left the venue alone and strode away from the crowd.

The custom during the New Year in the imperial capital of the Leeds galaxy is that, except for the commander and military aircraft, the entire city is banned from flying for three days. Therefore, Sid gave all his servants, including the driver, a day off starting from last night. At this moment, he was going to the parking lot alone to pick up the car.

The sound of salutes and fireworks still echoed above Sid's head, and the cheers of the crowd in the distance made the scenery around him particularly lonely. He walked to the side of the street lamp, leaned against the railing and looked up. In the sky above, a red firework happened to bloom in the golden sky, forming the shape of a smiley face. Sid looked at the fireworks, took out a pack of cigarettes from his coat pocket, took out another one and lit it.

Soon, the long cigarette was burned out, leaving only a cigarette butt. Sid extinguished the cigarette butt and flicked it far away. The cigarette butt flew into a trash can across the street with the last wisp of smoke. Then Sid stood up from the railing on the street, dusted off the dust behind him, and walked away.

I had not walked far when I heard a shout from behind me.

"Sid!"

Sid stopped but did not turn around. There was another sound of high heels hitting the ground behind him. It was Tis who caught up with him: "Sid, where are you going?"

Sid didn't reply, but lifted his legs and continued walking.

Tis immediately lifted her skirt and trotted over to Sid's side, then held his arm.

Sid finally turned his head to look at Tis's hand holding his arm, and said coldly: "Let go."

Des was still wearing the skirt she had worn at the meeting. Her two white arms and shoulders were exposed to the cold wind, but she seemed unaware of it and continued to say to Sid, "Sid, it's New Year's Day. Let's celebrate it together as a family."

Sid's eyes were cold: "I have something else to do, so I'll leave first." After that, he coldly brushed away Tis's hand that was holding his arm, strode away, leaving Tis standing there.

A trace of sadness flashed across Des's face, but she quickly calmed down, picked up her skirt again, and chased after Sid. However, Sid walked too fast, so Des stopped after two steps and shouted at Sid's back: "Sid, don't you want to see Asene?"

After she said that, she saw Sid turned around almost immediately, with a fierce aura around him. Sid took a few steps in front of Tess and leaned down slightly to get close to Tess's face. The two were so close that they could clearly hear each other's breathing.

Tis looked at the face in front of her that suddenly enlarged, her heart pounding with worry. Sure enough, she soon heard Sid say to her in disgust: "Don't use the child to threaten me. Doing so will only make me look down on you more and more."

Tiss forced herself to remain calm: "I'm not threatening you with the child. Asene is sick."

Hearing that Asani was ill, Sid immediately frowned: "What happened? She was fine when I video-called her a few days ago. What did you do to her?"

Tis sighed, "Sid, can you please be reasonable? I am Asheni's mother. Would I deliberately make her sick to gain your attention?"

Sid snorted softly, "If she's sick, you should stay home and take good care of her, instead of coming to the capital to attend a banquet that has nothing to do with you, dressed up like this."

Tis took a deep breath and said, "I admit that I attended the party to see you, but I originally only planned to take a look at you from a distance. After taking a look at you, I will leave and will never bother you." Tis said, hugging himself with his hands, as if he finally felt the coldness of the winter.

Sid smiled sarcastically: "Is this what you call a distant look? Never pestering me? Then what were you doing just now? Do you want me to remind you that you just pulled my arm and begged me to spend the New Year with you... Tsk, if you really have the awareness to not pester me, I would think more highly of you."

"Sid, you don't have to provoke me with such words. I said I won't bother you anymore and I won't bother you anymore."
