"I will take you to the guest room to rest first, and then pick you up to meet the commander in about an hour. Do you think this arrangement is okay?"

Ning Hua felt Gene's thoughtfulness and was very grateful: "Thank you, Mr. Gene, it's really too much trouble for you."

Gene responded with a smile, then took Ning Hua to a building by car, and led her through the corridor and stairs to a guest room on the second floor. Gene stopped and said, "Miss Ning Hua, this is where you can rest. Please rest for a while. If you have any questions, just inform the guard. I will pick you up in an hour to meet the commander."

Ning Hua nodded quickly: "Okay, you go ahead and do your work, Mr. Gene."

Gene didn't turn around and leave until Ning Hua closed the door. He was indeed busy. The commander didn't know that Miss Ning Hua had come to the imperial capital. This must be a surprise for the commander.

Gene happily knocked on the commander's bedroom door. Bang, bang, bang. After three knocks, there was no response.

Gene knocked several dozen times again, and Lu Xiu's weak voice came out: "Come in."

Lu Xiu didn't say anything, and Gene continued, "They've arrived and are resting in the guest room on the second floor. Miss Ning Hua said she wants to come visit you in an hour."

Jean finally let go of his worries: "Yes, Your Highness."

Gene turned around and opened the commander's wardrobe. After a moment's hesitation, he asked, "Your Highness, do you still want to wear your uniform?"

Lu Xiu thought for a while and sighed: "Forget it, I won't change it."

Gene didn't understand why the commander changed his mind again, but after taking a look at the dark nightgown on His Highness, he felt that His Highness was still handsome in this outfit, so he closed the closet door again.

Jin asked again what His Highness wanted to eat in the evening. Lu Xiu didn't want to think about it and said calmly, "You decide."

After Gene left, Lu Xiu felt that his silent heart became lively again, and he felt quite nervous: "Why did she come? Is she worried about me? The capital is so far away from Austin. If she really didn't mean to come, why would she run so far..."

Ning Hua walked slowly towards them, holding a bunch of roses in her arms.
