Crossing the Gods as Slaves

Chapter 47 Dinner (2)

Kingslan glanced at Ning Hua and said, "I knew that a girl like you who came down from the mountains would be conservative. Don't worry, I will match a shawl jacket for you." Then he took out a light yellow long dress with a small V-neck and pushed Ning Hua to the fitting room to try it on.

When Ning Hua came out wearing it, Kingslan was amazed: "You look otherworldly all over. Tell me, how many suitors have you had in the past few months?"

Ning Hua stood in front of the floor-length mirror, feeling quite satisfied: "There are no suitors. I go to school with a six-year-old every day."

Kingsland was full of disbelief, but he didn't ask any more questions. He walked around Ning Hua and looked at him: "This one, it's very nice, and the color suits you very well."

Ning Hua nodded and took out her social security card from her bag, but was stopped by Kingsland: "It's just a skirt. I'll give it to you for free. If you can help me find a handsome, rich and ideal husband at the celebration party, I'll give you another skirt."

Ning Hua smiled. Kingsland’s love for men is truly eternal.

Kingsland walked around to Ning Hua again and said, "Well, your cleavage is pretty good."

The God accepted the compliment with a smile. I didn't expect Kingsland to be able to tell fortunes.

After the final exam, it was already winter vacation. Ning Hua had no homework to do, so she fiddled with the Huanxiang flowers every day, and her days began to repeat themselves. Fortunately, there was a celebration dinner in two days, so it was finally a lively event.

On the day of the celebration banquet, Ning Hua and Kingslan agreed to meet at Ning Hua's house, but before Kingslan arrived, Dana arrived first.

Ning Hua went to open the door wearing the yellow V-neck long dress that Kingslan picked for her. When Dana saw her, he was stunned on the spot.

"Dana, why is it you?"

"Who else are you waiting for?" Dana said as he took out his communicator and took a photo of Ning Hua.

"I made an appointment with Kingsland to go together. She is my friend."

"Oh, your friend, I thought I was your only friend in Austin." Dana was wearing a black suit, standing tall and slender, looking quite handsome.

Ning Hua smiled and said, "You two are the only friends, and you are the only man among them."

Dana was amused by this "only one": "Do you want to leave now, or wait for your other 'only one' to come together?"

Ning Hua found it funny what he said: "Of course we will wait until the two 'only ones' arrive and leave together."

When Kingslan arrived, he saw such an extraordinary handsome man in the room and asked Ning Hua to introduce him.

Dana stepped forward and introduced himself gentlemanly: "Hello, Miss Kingsland, I am Ning Hua's only 'boyfriend', Duke Dana."

Ning Hua was delighted: "Please make it clear, you are a male friend."

Kingsland's eyes moved back and forth between the two of them, and he felt a certain atmosphere flowing between them, and an ambiguous smile appeared on his face.

The three of them took Dana's special car to the banquet venue. Dana naturally opened the door for Ning Hua, then took her hand and put it in his arm. The flash lights of the media outside the car flashed back and forth. Ning Hua didn't want to let Dana lose face in front of everyone, so she didn't push away Dana's hand.

Because of Dana, Ning Hua made a wonderful appearance in front of all the wealthy families in Austin. There was an endless stream of people who came forward to talk to Dana for his sake. Dana smiled gently and considerately, looking like a good lover.

When the opening dance music sounded, everyone stepped aside. An old man and a young woman walked into the dance floor, and the party began as they twirled and danced.

Ning Hua watched the old and the young dancing in perfect harmony on the dance floor with his eyes fixed on it.

Dana whispered in her ear: "The two people who should be dancing the opening dance are supposed to be you and me."

Ning Hua quickly defended himself: "I'm really sorry, I really can't dance."

Dana didn't care: "I'll teach you later."

After the opening dance, Dana really pulled Ning Hua to the dance floor. However, the dance was completely different from the ones performed by the people around them. Dana just held Ning Hua and swayed slowly on the dance floor. Ning Hua followed his rhythm and finished the song.

In the middle of the banquet, a man came over and clinked glasses with Dana: "My Lord Duke, how are you these days?"

Dana was still holding Ning Hua's hand. Seeing someone approaching to greet him, he smiled gently and said, "I am still not the same as before, but I heard that your son is among the top candidates tonight. Your Excellency is so lucky. I would like to congratulate you."

"No, no, no, it's not like you, my Lord Duke. It's really a blessing to have such a beautiful woman by your side."

Dana smiled smugly, with no intention of denying it at all, while Ning Hua's face was sore from laughing all night, but at this moment, there was no better way to respond than to continue laughing.

The gentleman who came to greet him continued, "Your Excellency the Duke, the mayor is over there. How about we go and toast to him together?" As he said that, he turned his head and looked towards the high platform on the right, where a gray-haired old man was chatting and laughing with the people around him.

Dana couldn't refuse, so he nodded and turned to Ning Hua, saying, "Stay here and don't run around. I'll be back with you in a while."

"Okay, I'll go over there and eat something. I'm a little hungry."

After Dana left, Ning Hua looked around and saw Kingsland chatting happily with a man. Ning Hua sighed and walked around the dining table to find something that suited his taste.
