Chapter 23: The Lost Clue

After the guardian disappeared, Su Xi, Su Ningyu and Lin Yanjun stood in the dark and damp cave, feeling heavy and confused. The terrible scene that foreshadowed the world falling into chaos again was deeply imprinted in their minds and became a huge stone weighing on their hearts.

"What are these?" Lin Yanjun leaned over to take a look curiously.

"Maybe this is guiding us somewhere." Su Xi said.

Following the guidance of the symbols, they continued to move forward in the misty valley. As they walked, the mist gradually dissipated and they came to the bottom of a valley. At the bottom of the valley there was a clear stream and beside the stream there was a huge stone.

There were some words engraved on the stone. Su Xi walked closer and saw that it said: "The power of the artifact is sleeping in the ancient ruins."

"Ancient ruins? Where would they be?" Lin Yanjun asked.

Su Ningyu looked at the surrounding mountains: "Maybe it's somewhere nearby."

Just as they were looking around, a huge black eagle swooped down from the sky and attacked them.

"Be careful!" Su Xi shouted.
