Legend of the Spirit Realm

Chapter 25: Ancient Town

After bidding farewell to the villagers of Qingfeng Mountain, Su Xiaodai, Ling'er and the little snake continued on their way. They passed through a dense forest and saw an ancient town in front of them.

The town looked a bit run-down, with narrow streets, old houses, and pedestrians with tired and worried faces.

Su Xiaodai asked an old man and found out that the town was shrouded in a strange curse. Every year a terrible disaster would befall, making people's lives miserable.

"We must help them lift the curse!" Ling'er was kind-hearted and said immediately.

Su Xiaodai nodded in agreement, and they began to investigate the source of the curse in the town.

After several days of visits, they discovered that on every full-moon night, an ancient temple in the center of the town would emit a strange light, and disasters often occurred at this time.

The full moon night soon arrived, and Su Xiaodai and his friends quietly came to the temple. The temple door was closed, but a gloomy atmosphere came from inside.

Su Xiaodai gently pushed open the door, and a powerful force rushed towards him. They walked into the temple carefully, and saw a huge statue standing in the middle of the hall, with its eyes flashing strangely.

"There's something strange about this statue." Su Xiaodai said vigilantly.

At this moment, the statue suddenly moved, waving its huge arms to attack them.

Su Xiaodai and Ling'er dodged quickly, and the little snake took the opportunity to spray venom, trying to interfere with the statue's actions.

The statue's attack power is extremely strong, and each attack carries great force. The walls of the temple continue to collapse under the attack.

"We must find its weakness!" Ling'er shouted.

Su Xiaodai dodged the attacks while observing the statue's movements. Finally, he discovered that the statue's left foot seemed to be moving a little slowly.

"Attack its left foot!" Su Xiaodai said loudly.

They concentrated their strength and attacked the statue's left foot. Under their continuous attacks, cracks appeared on the statue's left foot, and its movements became slower.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Su Xiaodai used the most powerful spell of the Kongling Jue, and a ray of light hit the statue's head directly.

The statue let out a painful roar, fell to the ground with a loud bang, and turned into a pile of rubble.

As the statue fell, the eerie atmosphere in the temple gradually dissipated and the curse on the town was lifted.

People cheered and were extremely grateful to Su Xiaodai and his friends.

However, before they had time to enjoy the joy, new troubles came knocking on their door.

A group of mysterious men in black appeared outside the town, demanding that Su Xiaodai hand over a treasure he had obtained from the temple.

Su Xiaodai looked bewildered: "We didn't get any treasures in the temple."

The man in black didn't believe it and launched an attack without further explanation.

Su Xiaodai and his men had no choice but to fight. The men in black were all very skilled and they worked well together. For a while, Su Xiaodai and his men were in a tough fight.

Ling'er was accidentally hit by the man in black and fell to the ground.

"Ling'er!" Su Xiaodai was extremely anxious.

The little snake angrily rushed towards the men in black and fought a desperate battle with them.

During the fierce battle, Su Xiaodai suddenly discovered that the men in black all had the same symbol on their bodies. He was moved and remembered that he had seen this symbol in an ancient book. It seemed to be the symbol of an evil organization.

"Is there a bigger conspiracy behind this?" Su Xiaodai thought to himself.

He decided not to fight any longer and retreated with Ling'er and the little snake.

While escaping, they accidentally broke into a mysterious valley.

The valley was filled with thick fog and the surroundings were silent, which made people feel creepy.

"What is this place?" Ling'er was a little scared.

Su Xiaodai comforted him: "Don't be afraid, let's explore carefully."

They moved forward cautiously in the valley, and suddenly heard a melodious flute sound.

The sound of the flute seems to have a kind of magic that makes people want to get closer involuntarily.

Su Xiaodai's heart was filled with alarm: "Be careful, there's something wrong with this flute sound."

But it was too late. Ling'er and the little snake had been attracted by the sound of the flute and were walking towards the source of the sound.

Su Xiaodai tried desperately to hold them back, but to no avail.

At this moment, a figure slowly walked out of the thick fog...
