Who says real and fake daughters can’t be sisters?

Chapter 7 Being heartless is also a blessing

After all the chaos, the family finally had a quick meal. Although they had rushed to Pingzhou early in the morning, they had been driving for five or six hours and it was already time for lunch.

After a simple lunch, well, that's what Ji's father said, but when Ji Yuanluo looked at the table full of delicious food, she really couldn't associate it with the word simple. The food was better than her previous New Year's Eve dinner.

Yuanluo suddenly thought of a word inexplicably: does this count as taking advantage of a wealthy family?

If you think about it carefully, you can’t say that. This seems to be your own home.

Ji's mother took Yuanluo to visit her bedroom. There was a warm and gorgeous big bed, an exquisite dressing table, and floor-to-ceiling windows facing the small garden of the manor, with excellent lighting and views. There was an independent bathroom in the room, and there was a bathtub for bathing.

The whole house is in pink tones, giving a very girly feeling. It can be seen that in the years since she was found, her family has been decorating her room as a princess room.

Yuanluo thought, this is a stereotype, not all girls like pink, she actually prefers sky blue, but everything is so much better than where she lived before, so this color is not unacceptable.

Seeing that she was just looking around the bedroom without saying anything, Ji's mother reached out and opened the door of the bedroom. Inside was a cloakroom with clothes for all seasons neatly arranged. There was also a special shelf for bags of various colors.

Over the years, whenever Ji Siran's mother bought something, she would have someone buy double the amount. She always thought that children of the same age would have similar tastes, so if Siran liked something, Anran shouldn't dislike it either, right?

In fact, there were more. Shen Yunqing would prepare clothes and daily necessities for her every year, for fear that her daughter would suddenly come back one day and she would have nothing to use and she would be in a hurry.

In fact, Shen Yunqing was overthinking it. The Ji family was wealthy, so if they needed anything, they would just make a phone call and someone would deliver it to their door. Even the new clothes of the season that had just arrived in the store would be presented to them in person by models at the Ji family.

Yuan Luo looked at the full cloakroom with all kinds of clothes and was shocked again: "Are these all for me?"

Mother Ji nodded and said, "Yes, they are all for you. I have been buying clothes for you over the years, just in case you suddenly come home and have nothing to use. Go and try them on to see if they fit and if you like them."

"Does it happen every year?" Yuanluo asked, feeling as if a ball of cotton was blocking her heart, and it was inexplicably sour.

"Thank you, Mom. You've worked hard over the years." Yuan Luo spoke for the first time and called her Mom sincerely. Unlike the previous time when she did it to piss off Ji Siran, this time it was just because she accepted her as her mother.

Shen Yunqing's nose felt sore again. She went forward and hugged Yuanluo tightly, saying, "It's okay. Mommy is not tired because her baby is finally back."

At dinner time, Yuanluo finally saw her elder sister at the table.

When Ji Anxin arrived home, she was wearing a business suit, looking smart and capable. Her hair was tied up with a wooden hairpin and she wore gold-rimmed glasses. She was so beautiful that she looked aloof and cold.

She spoke in a cold voice. Unlike Ji's father and mother, she naturally felt close to her. Ji Anxin took a beautifully packaged handbag, handed it to Yuanluo, and looked up to motion for her to take it.

"This is for you, a meeting gift. I hope you have a brain. Is it enough to have a fool in this family?"

Ji·Fool·Si Ran didn't think that the word "fool" was describing her at all. She couldn't help but look up and said while she was eating. "Brother is not stupid. He is very smart and a top student."

Yuan Luo looked at Ji Siran eating in disbelief, thinking: "Being heartless is also a blessing."

Ji Anxin was getting a little impatient and urged, "Hurry up and take it. I want to eat. Why are you daydreaming?"

But in his heart he was thinking that he was doomed. This new sister didn't seem very smart, and the second sister was a nerd who had read too much and became stupid. Without her, this family would go bankrupt sooner or later.

Ji Anxin looked up at the starry sky at a 45-degree angle, oh no, the ceiling, her whole body exuding a faint sadness. Yuan Luo didn't know that her sister had such a rich inner drama, so she hurriedly accepted the gift and thanked her.

Seeing that her sister had no further words after Yuanluo took the gift, Ji Siran finally put down the ribs in his hand, blinked his deer eyes and looked up at Ji Anxin, only to see that Ji Anxin had already picked up the bowl of rice.

"Sister, don't I have a gift?"

Ji Anxin picked up the food from the bowl without even raising her eyelids, and said, "I already said it's a meeting gift. It's not the first time I've met you. I gave you your meeting gift when you first came."

Ji Siran thought about it carefully and felt that she had no impression of it. She just vaguely remembered that her sister seemed to have given her something at that time, so she said "Oh" and continued to eat with peace of mind.

Father Ji couldn't help but twitch his lips, but he didn't say anything in the end. If he remembered correctly, An Xin gave Siran a big lollipop at that time, the kind that cost more than ten yuan in the supermarket.

Mother Ji looked at Father Ji's expression and vaguely thought of something. She picked up a piece of pork ribs with a serving chopstick and put it in Ji Siran's bowl, saying, "Siran, eat more to replenish your body."

Ji Siran didn't understand the unfinished meaning of his mother's words. He just thought that this was his mother's pampering, so he said, "Thank you, Mom."

He also looked at his two sisters proudly, as if to say, "You don't have it, but I do."

Ji Anxin was so speechless that she almost rolled her eyes at the dinner table. Yuanluo also felt speechless. She always felt that her mother's words of comfort had a hidden meaning.

"Childish devil." Yuanluo cursed.

After dinner, Ji's father finally mentioned that Yuanluo should change her name back.

"Your mother and I named you Ji Anran before. Now that you are back at the Ji family, we'll change your name back. School will start in more than 20 days. I'll have someone go get your household registration done in the next few days, and you'll also have to go through the enrollment procedures."

Yuanluo pondered for a moment, then said, "Change your last name back. I've been called Yuanluo for so many years, I'm used to it."

Father Ji thought about it and decided that it was not impossible, so he agreed.

No one here had any objections, but Ji Siran started to complain again: "How could someone come up with such a tacky name, Yuanluo, it sounds worthless, sister, you should change your name."

Ji Yuanluo didn't indulge her and retorted: "That's fine, you can call me Ji Anran, otherwise when someone asks what my name means, I won't be able to explain it to you."

Ji Siran shut up instantly. Ji Anxin looked approving and thought to herself, after all, he is somewhat like me and is not hopeless.

So, Ji Anxin silently changed the entry that she would search on Baidu from "Help, what should I do if I find another not-so-bright sister at home" to "Help, what should I do if I find a sister at home who is sharp-tongued but not-so-bright".

Ji Anxin thought to herself: "I've been so worried about this family."

A serious father, a crybaby mother, silly siblings and a worried her.
