HP: Let professors walk towards the light

Chapter 75 Dumbledore Returns

"So you kidnapped an incompetent professor in the middle of the night and brought you here to fight the basilisk? You should know what kind of situation the school will face if something happens to you, especially the two of you."

Snape looked at Draco and Theodore with a dark face. He really didn't expect that Draco, who would report to his father if he got a scratch at school and asked him to come to the school, would appear here. And when did Nott, who usually didn't say a word, learn to meddle in other people's business?

"If your legs aren't broken, just follow along."

What he couldn't understand the most was indeed this strange combination of Slytherin and Gryffindor.

"Professor Snape, and Blaise..." Draco walked in front of the group.

"He's already gone out."

……

When they stood at the door of the principal's office, covered in dirt, there was a moment of silence.

"Merlin! They're coming out."

Madam Pomfrey screamed and rushed over to check one by one. The children that Professor Snape had just brought out had broken bones in their shoulders and many of their ribs. God knows what these children went through in there!

"Hermalena! Oh my god, child, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's all my fault that I didn't take good care of you..."

Madam Pomfrey grabbed Reyna's shoulders and almost collapsed to the ground, and Reyna had to use both hands to support her.

"It's okay, Madam Pomfrey, I'm fine, Draco and the others saved me." Reina patted her gently.

Professor McGonagall clutched her chest tightly and gasped for air. Standing next to her was Headmaster Dumbledore, who had not been seen for many days, and Fawkes was standing on his shoulder.

Snape walked up to them, "The basilisk was dead when I entered."

Professor McGonagall staggered and said weakly, "How on earth did you do that?"

Snape looked at Draco, and Draco explained first, that they found Lockhart endangering Rena, and then kept an eye on Lockhart, found the entrance to the suspected Chamber of Secrets where Rena and Granger fainted, went to find Lockhart after Rena was kidnapped, and Lockhart admitted everything he had done to Rena. They took Lockhart to the Chamber of Secrets, and told them everything about what happened in the Chamber of Secrets.

Draco hid Riddle's existence in the Chamber of Secrets, which was disadvantageous to him and Nott. Their families were all Death Eaters, and... he almost believed the words of that memory that was not even a human being, and almost... killed Reina. Fortunately... fortunately, Reina was fine...

Then it was Harry who told them everything he and Ron Hermione had discovered and what they had done, including their encounter with Malfoy.

"Very good," Professor McGonagall urged him when he paused. "Very good, all of you have ignored the school rules - so how did you survive the basilisk?"

So, Harry began to tell about their experience fighting the basilisk:

After Harry and Ron led the basilisk away, they were able to confront it head-on because Fawkes pecked out its eyes in time. However, Ron's wand was of no help at all, and Harry's attack power alone was just a tickle to the basilisk.

"What the hell is this crappy hat for?" Ron grabbed the Sorting Hat that Harry handed over.

Harry gave his wand to Ron, took back the hat and put it on his head, and the two continued to escape.

"Help me, Sorting Hat, what should I do?"

Then Harry felt the hat begin to tighten, and something hard and heavy fell on Harry's head, almost knocking him out.

He quickly took off his hat, revealing a shining silver sword. He pulled it out, and on the sword was engraved "Godric Gryffindor".

"Cool! Harry, beat it!" Ron shouted excitedly.

"No, I can't!" Harry wrapped the Sorting Hat around the hilt and held the sword in his hand.

However, Harry, who had no swordsmanship, could only swing his sword in a disorderly manner. Gradually, they were forced into a dead end. Harry was already injured at this time, and the intense exercise accelerated the invasion of the basilisk's venom, and his movements gradually slowed down.

Ron used Harry's wand to assist him. He also consumed a lot of his energy while dodging the basilisk's attacks. When both of them were about to die in the snake's belly, a loud and long crowing sound resounded throughout the entire pipe. Ron swore that this was the most beautiful rooster crowing sound he had ever heard in his life!

The basilisk began to struggle in pain on the ground, trying to escape. Harry seized the opportunity and stabbed the sword into the basilisk's head. The severe pain and strong desire to survive made the basilisk struggle more violently. It shook its head hard and hit the wall of the pipe. Harry grabbed the sword and rode on the basilisk's head. Ron took the opportunity to run behind the basilisk.

Then there was a scene where the basilisk rushed into the stone chamber through the pipe with Harry on its head and chased Ron.

"What interests me most is this diary." Dumbledore picked up the remains of the diary on the table and looked at Lena meaningfully.

"I do have a source that says Voldemort is hiding in the forests of Albania, but I'm surprised he was able to confuse Hermalena in such a way."

"What? Albus, you mean the You-Know-Who? He...bewitched Hermalena?" Professor McGonagall asked anxiously.

"That's the diary that Riddle wrote when he was 16," Lena added.

Dumbledore examined the damp, burned diary.

"Smart." He said gently, "He is probably the smartest student I have ever met." Then he looked at Lena deeply.

He went on to say, "Tom Riddle, that was Voldemort's former name. Fifty years ago, I was his teacher, but he disappeared after leaving school. No one knew where he went, what he did, or who he made friends with. When he transformed into a dark wizard, almost no one could connect Voldemort with the handsome and intelligent boy he once was."

"Fortunately, this incident did not cause any serious harm, and the only petrified child will wake up soon. I think we are all shocked by what has happened, and perhaps we should celebrate. Minerva, could you go to the kitchen to inform them?"

"Of course!" said Professor McGonagall cheerfully.

"Poppy, take these children to the infirmary first. Treat those who need treatment and let those who need rest rest. But I'll send Harry and Reina over later."

"Okay." Madam Pomfrey chased the children out like chickens.

"As for Lockhart, I will dismiss him and submit his 'heroic deeds' to the Wizengamot, the Supreme Magical Court."

"Sit down, Reyna, Harry, Severus you too." Dumbledore sat cross-legged in a chair in front of the heater.

Faced with this situation, Harry suddenly felt inexplicably uneasy.

"Harry, I want to thank you first. After all, you must have shown enough loyalty in the Chamber of Secrets to summon Fawkes to your side." He stroked Fawkes who was resting on his knees.

"Have you all met Tom Riddle?" he asked.

"Besides Blaise and Lockhart." Reina said slowly, "Draco and Theodore have also met."

"You know Riddle, Rayna?" Harry asked in surprise.
