HP: Let professors walk towards the light

Chapter 7: The Anosmia Curse Snape's Doubts

"Look! Harry, is that a bandage? Is she playing the victim? Even Neville, who had a broken wrist, recovered last night. She just accidentally broke some skin. I don't believe Madam Pomfrey can't cure it. And they framed her! All Slytherins are like that." Ron said mercilessly.

"Ron, stop talking. She helped me at the beginning of the school year. I think she might not be that bad." Harry simply couldn't confuse the girl who helped him on Platform 9 with a Slytherin as cunning as Malfoy. At first, he even wanted to be assigned to the same college as her.

"Don't forget we were almost caught by Filch last night! And that three-headed dog could eat us in one bite, one head for one person, that was horrible!!! Fortunately it was sleeping at the time." Ron patted his chest, feeling like he had survived a disaster. (??へ ?? ╮ )

Harry saw the pale-faced girl smiling so gently and generously at the Slytherins. Their relationship seemed to have become better. Even Malfoy's arrogant and confident attitude disappeared without a trace in front of her.

She seemed to be nice to many people, as if she didn't care what college they were from.

If, if she were a Gryffindor, she would be more popular than she is now! Harry thought to himself, absolutely right!

?

In Potions class.

Snape continued to find fault with Harry and deducted Gryffindor's points one by one. It was unknown whether it was a few years or hundreds of years later, but the two Potions classes finally ended in a "nuclear peace".

"Malfoy, Tallos stay. If anyone else wants to do an extra essay assignment on Refresher, I don't mind if you stay in my classroom."

As soon as he finished speaking, the entire classroom was emptied as if at double speed, leaving only Draco and Lena waiting obediently for the instructions of their dean.

"Come with me to the old...headmaster's office. Draco, repeat what you said last night, and we'll go and ask Professor McGonagall for an explanation." After saying that, he stuffed a bottle of crystal clear liquid into Lena's hand - it looked like a white moss healing potion.

"Here, you'd better not leave ugly scars on your body. That would only bring shame to Slytherin. You really made me proud by being bullied by Gryffindor for such a small matter."

"It was just an accident..."

I'm so sorry, professor. I'll do it again next time.

Reina pursed her lips and accepted the healing potion. Well, for the sake of the potion, kind-hearted Lady Reina would just ignore the meaningless venom.

?

"Anosmia! (Loss of smell!)"

Reina waved her wand to test her new spell, and then picked up the concentrated wormwood juice on the table (in order to avoid smelling like garlic, Reina did not use garlic juice for testing. She didn't know why, but she was a little disgusted with garlic now.)

Success! She could no longer smell the bitter taste. It was worth her half a month of researching this spell. Although it was indeed a simple spell, she couldn't ask the professor directly about the principle of the ear-blocking spell. In order to figure out its triggering principle, she spent all her spare time in the library and finally rewrote the best spell formula.

But Merlin's efforts paid off, and he made another contribution to the study of spells. Although it is quite useless, at least it is still useful now.

The next morning.

Lena walked out of the dormitory and found Draco and others playing wizard chess in the lounge.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have good news to tell you. Believe me, you will definitely be happy to hear it."

Draco raised an eyebrow, "I think if you told me Potter was expelled by Dumbledore, I would have agreed that it was good news."

"Draco, I think it would be more credible for Professor Snape to expel Potter than for Dumbledore to expel him." Pansy grinned.

"I unilaterally think that the possibility of him being expelled is lower than that of me being struck by lightning from a Thunderbird when I go out. Draco, it's only been less than a month since the start of school. Why do you always act like you have a deep hatred for Harry?" Lena looked helplessly at these little snakes who were so unforgiving with their words.

"Harry? Are you very familiar with Potter? This was bound to happen the moment he rejected me. You know, the person who rejected me was a Malfoy, not to mention a Gryffindor. I've never seen anyone curse himself like you." Draco stared at Reina.

"I'm familiar with a lot of people. Do you really not want to listen to what I have to say? That would be a pity. It will be too late." Someone shook his head, trying to change the topic back.

"Tell me what good news you have." Millicent Bulstrode saw through her little thoughts and agreed with her with a smile.

Then everyone saw her take out her cedar wand.

"Draco, we know each other pretty well, right? Do you want to try out my latest achievement? Don't worry, I won't hurt you, I promise."

"Ah... this..." Draco looked at the wand facing him and swallowed, "I... I think Crabbe is quite familiar with you, he can give it a try."

Then he took over, moved Reina's wand away, and pointed it at Crabbe who was stuffing chocolate into his mouth.

"Don't you trust me so much? I just want you to feel it more intuitively."

"I believe you, but Crabbe said he wants to feel it, too."

"I do not…"

"A box of chocolates."

"Yes, I think I can feel it with all my might." Crabbe sat upright, ready to die for chocolate -

Reina smiled and pretended not to have seen the transaction between the two. "Don't be nervous. Then, your sense of smell will fail!"

A beam of light shot out from the spell. Crabbe had already closed his eyes in fear. After a long time, the lounge was quiet, as if... nothing special had happened.

"Are you okay? Do you remember who you are? What day is this?"

"D-la-co! That's enough. Can I make him stupider?"

"Actually, I don't think anything has changed." Crabbe sniffed.

"You look healthy. Smell this." Millicent handed him a cup of cinnamon cocoa.

Reina also rolled her eyes at Millicent, who couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"It seems... successful? I really can't smell anything."

"So, you really figured it out? Merlin's flesh-colored stockings! You can be on the Daily Prophet with the headline being Slytherin first-year student develops new spell on his own," Pansy exclaimed in surprise.

"Is there an antidote for this? I mean his nose..." Draco asked uncertainly.

"I can't smell chocolate anymore..." Crabbe said as he stuffed his mouth.

"Removing the curse... Of course... No." Reina crossed her arms, "But it will take two and a half hours to recover. I experimented on myself last night. Really, when have I ever harmed you guys?"

Crabbe's worry, which had been raised after hearing the first half of the sentence, finally settled down. Although he couldn't smell it, his sense of taste was still there. It was a very strange feeling!

"I can teach you. It's very simple if you want to learn it. In fact, you can definitely learn it and use it in Defense Against the Dark Arts class."

"It sounds like a good idea. Maybe I can come along?" Bryce, who was watching quietly on the side, took the initiative to ask.

"Of course. But I'm not too keen on being in the Daily Prophet yet."

"Haha... I understand, I understand. It's Slytherin's secret, right?" Millicent shook her head.

Snape's POV

It has been two months since the start of the school year, and it's going very well. Potter, apart from his looks, has even perfectly inherited his troll father's stupid brain. I don't see any talent in Potions in him, not even the slightest bit!

Besides being a giant monster, his head is probably also filled with Stipa sphenanthera. And yet he is considered a savior. I am afraid that I will not even see him saving the world after I die.

Stupid Longbottom exploded the cauldron again, and so did Finnigan. They really deserve to be the troll partner. Can someone explain to me why stirring the cauldron with a magic wand can create such a huge mushroom cloud!

Fortunately, Draco did not disappoint me. It seems that Lucius' education is still remarkable. Although it is not even one-tenth of what I got back then, it is still acceptable. And that... Talros.

Through observation, I can see that this girl is indeed capable. McGonagall and Flitwick have also praised her Transfiguration and Charms. She can barely get an "O" in Potions. She is also very low-key, which is good, very much to my liking.

Moreover... I deliberately asked her about the method of making a demulcent, which is only taught in fifth grade, and she actually answered it perfectly. Although it is not ruled out that it is due to her family's collection of books, it is enough to show that her level is definitely more than what she usually shows.

But... only those who have made a perfect mitigation potion would know the precise ratio of moonstone powder and other ingredients. For a first-year student, mitigation potions are not that simple. Could it be that the Talros family is some kind of potion family? I have never heard of it...

Since knowing that the person in the dream was Talros, no one could ignore her. It was necessary to investigate the Talros family. Although it was just a dream, it would be fine once or twice, but this damn dream lasted until now! And what if it was really a prophetic dream? He had to do something. He couldn't really remain unmoved.

Could it be... dark magic?
