HP: Let professors walk towards the light

Chapter 55: Dobby the House-Elf

"You should have come straight to me!"

In the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey was furious, holding something like rubber in her hand, "I can heal this bone in a second - but the problem is getting it to grow back now."

"You can do this, right?"

"Rubber" owner Harry asked desperately.

It turns out that it wasn't "rubber" at all, but Harry's arm!

Just now, Harry was playing a Quidditch game with Slytherin, but the Bludger suddenly lost control for some reason and kept hitting Harry. No matter what method he used, the Bludger kept chasing him.

Harry didn't want to lose to his opponent Malfoy, so he took a hard hit on his arm, broke it, and caught the Golden Snitch despite the severe pain. This was nothing, because after the game, Fred and George also caught the out-of-control Bludger. But when he was in so much pain that he lost consciousness, it was Lockhart who treated him!

I don't know if Lockhart was really incompetent or did it on purpose, but he simply made Harry's bones disappear. Harry's arm indeed stopped hurting, and it even looked like it was no longer a hand but a flesh-colored rubber glove, dangling at his side.

Madam Pomfrey was extremely angry. She had to keep Harry and force-feed him "Bone Spirit". Harry said that he didn't want to drink that drink again in his life.

That night, the pain of the growing bones in his arm woke Harry up from the darkness. He even wanted to scream, but then a chill of fear crept up his spine. Someone was wiping his forehead with a sponge!

"Stop!" he shouted.

A pair of eyes as big as tennis balls stared at Harry in the darkness, he had ears like a bat, and a tear slid down his upturned nose.

"Dobby!" Harry shouted.

"Harry Potter is back at school," Dobby whispered sadly. "Dobby warned Harry time and time again. Why didn't Harry listen to Dobby? Why didn't Harry go home when he missed the train?"

Harry pushed Dobby's sponge aside and sat up.

"What are you doing here? How did you know I missed the train?" asked Harry.

Dobby's lip trembled, but Harry could have guessed it even without it saying it.

"It's you! You stopped us from passing through the platform." Harry was forced to take the flying car to Hogwarts with Ron because he couldn't pass through the platform.

"Dobby hid from Harry Potter, closed the road, and Dobby had to burn his hands - but Dobby didn't care, sir, because he thought Harry Potter was safe, but Dobby never thought that Harry Potter would return to school from another way!" Dobby shook his ugly head.

"How surprised Dobby was when he heard that Harry Potter had returned to school. So much so that he even burned the master's lunch! What a beating, Dobby had never experienced before..."

"You almost got me and Ron expelled, you'd better leave here before my bones grow back, Dobby, or I'll strangle you," said Harry rudely.

"Dobby is used to death threats, sir. Dobby gets five of them a day at home."

Dobby's bulging eyes were particularly creepy. He said, "Harry Potter must go home! Dobby thinks his Bludgers must be enough..."

"Your Bludger!" Harry's anger ignited once again. It was this Dobby who caused him to be locked up by Uncle Vernon during the summer vacation. He also prevented him from taking the train at the beginning of the school term, which led to him being almost expelled by Snape. Now, he manipulated the Bludger and almost killed him!

"You were trying to use the Bludger to kill me?" Harry asked angrily.

"Not to kill you, sir, Dobby never did!" Dobby said in shock.

"Dobby just wanted to save Harry's life. Being seriously injured is better than staying here, sir. Dobby just wanted Harry to go home injured!"

"That's it? I don't expect you to tell me why you would want me to be sent home in pieces!"

"Ah—if Harry Potter knew!"

Dobby held his head in agony, tears streaming down his face.

"Harry's existence defeated the mysterious man, and the lives of the low-class, enslaved elves in the magical world have improved. This is all thanks to Harry Potter. The power of the dark wizards has been overthrown. This is a new dawn! Sir, for those of us who think that darkness will never end, the holy light of Harry Potter shines on us and makes everything full of hope -"

"——But now, something big is happening in Hogwarts, or maybe it has already happened. Dobby can't let you stay here! History is about to repeat itself, strange people have created all this, and the Chamber of Secrets has been opened again——"

Suddenly, Dobby seemed to be stunned. He stared, quickly grabbed the kettle beside the bed, and hit himself hard on the head.

"Bad Dobby, very bad, very bad Dobby..."

"So, there really is a Chamber of Secrets? You mean - it has been opened before? Tell me Dobby!" Harry grabbed Dobby's hand.

"Who opened it?"

"Dobby can't tell! The mysterious deal started here. Dobby can't tell, sir, go home, Harry Potter must go home!"

Dobby froze suddenly, his bat ears twitching, and Harry heard someone coming down the corridor.

"Dobby has to go!" Dobby took a deep breath and disappeared.

Harry clenched his fists and lay back on the bed, his eyes fixed on the dark door of the ward.

After a while, Snape came in from outside, still dressed in black. If he wasn't holding someone in his arms, he would have been difficult to spot in the dark.

After he put the person on the bed, Dumbledore and Madam Pomfrey came in.

"What's going on?" Madam Pomfrey asked Dumbledore quietly.

"McGonagall found her collapsed on the third floor during her night patrol," said Dumbledore.

"Draco has been guarding the common room. She didn't go back all night, and she was called away by Lockhart today." Snape's voice was so calm that Harry had to concentrate to hear it clearly.

Harry carefully propped himself up and quietly looked at the man's face in the moonlight.

Silvery-white light shone through the window into the medical wing, hitting the bed and casting a holy glow on the man's face. If this scene was ignored, it would be a hazy and sad painting.

Harry saw clearly that the person on the bed was Hermalena.

"The Chamber of Secrets has indeed been opened..." Dumbledore frowned, his face serious.

"This child... could it be..." Madam Pomfrey covered her mouth, "But why?"

"He wants to know what's in there, and then see if he can gild himself a little." Snape said with a hint of annoyance.

"The question is, how did Lockhart know that?" Madam Pomfrey asked in surprise.

"The problem is not with him, the important thing is this child..."

Dumbledore was looking at Reina. Harry saw Madam Pomfrey with a confused look on her face outside the curtain, and Snape was also silent.

Although Harry didn't understand, he seemed to know something extraordinary. He, Ron and Hermione would never have expected that the Chamber of Secrets was actually related to Lockhart, that idiot.
