HP: Let professors walk towards the light

Chapter 44: The Thestrals' 2nd Year Begins

“You saw it too.” Reina said, “It seems that we are the only three second-year students who can see the Thestrals.”

Theodore looked at the strange-looking animal and said, "It's really ugly..."

"It's amazing."

"What? You said it?" Theodore couldn't believe what he heard.

"Black Pegasus are very smart. Once tamed, they will absolutely obey their masters and have a strong sense of direction. After graduation, I will ask Headmaster Dumbledore for one. If I bring the right chips, he might agree." Reina said in a cheerful tone.

"Aren't you afraid?" Theodore looked towards the front of the carriage with disgust.

"Scared? Do you mean the Thestrals? Or... death?"

"Everyone is afraid of death, let alone an animal that symbolizes death."

“Is death scary? It’s just a name people use to cover up their desires: money not spent, power not obtained, life not enjoyed or people not together… People are not afraid of death at all. People are greedy. Everyone wants to have everything in their hands. As for what will happen after death, no one can answer for us, so we are afraid - afraid that this uncontrollable thing will not satisfy our desires.”

Reina turned her head and looked at the tall and thin boy. "Thestrals are just a kind of magical animal."

"Lena! What are you doing? There's still room here, come quickly!" Pansy shouted in the carriage.

"Coming." Lena responded, "Let's go, Theodore." She motioned for Theodore to come along.

Theodore looked at Reyna, then glanced at the Thestrals.

"Ah."

In the carriage, Draco, Pansy, Lena and Theodore were in one car, and the others were driven by Pansy to another car.

"Can anyone really see the Thestrals? There's really nothing to see in front of the carriage." Pansy stared at the shaft and asked in confusion.

“I can see it.” Reina replied lightly.

"Really?" Draco and Pansy looked at Lena at the same time, then remembered what they had heard before, and turned their heads away at the same time, looking elsewhere.

"Why haven't you arrived at school yet?" Draco rubbed his head impatiently.

"Indeed, it's really slow." Pansy agreed.

Reina looked at the carriage that was lagging behind, and then at the two awkward people, and couldn't help laughing, "Thestrals are very fast."

"Will Thestrals be good-looking?" Pansy said to herself.

"It doesn't look good."

Hearing Theodore's answer, Pansy looked at him, but Theodore was holding up his head and looking outside, as if the person who had just answered was not him.

Draco frowned, tutted, and said, "Did Potter and the others fly over?"

"I don't know. We can't see it in the dark. Where do you think he will stop?" Pansy quickly followed up.

"I hope they fall into the water." Draco smiled smugly.

"Didn't Potter appear in the newspapers during the holiday with this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher? Is that Lockhart really that powerful?"

"How powerful can he be? I think Professor Snape must be suitable for teaching us Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"That's right, by the way, that Quirrell was fired?" Pansy asked Lena.

Reina: “Maybe.”

"I never thought that a professor at Hogwarts would want to steal things. Luckily, Reina, you are here. You are really amazing. I would say you are a complete crusher!"

"It's not my credit. The principal arrived in time to stop him."

As for the Quirrell incident, Dumbledore's explanation was that Quirrell attempted to steal the treasure in the school basement. After being discovered, he was dismissed and never re-employed. The several children involved also gave the same testimony, and told outsiders that it was just an accidental discovery. The matter was not made a big deal, and Quirrell himself came out to clarify, and the outside world also tacitly accepted the matter.

The children were chatting about this and that as the carriage arrived at Hogwarts.

The Slytherin prefect was explaining things to the second-year students, telling them that since they had just been promoted, they would lead them to ride in the carriage this time.

But from now on, the prefects who are promoted to the sixth grade need to focus on study, exams and preparation for graduation, while the second graders have accumulated a year of experience. They are no longer responsible for the management of the whole team, but only for supervision. These matters will be mainly responsible for the grade representatives of their own grade. They will be responsible for themselves in any future matters. However, if there are violations of discipline or penalties or deductions by prefects of other colleges, the prefects will not let them off easily, even if they are grade representatives. Anything that damages the honor of Slytherin is not allowed to exist. This has always been the tradition of Slytherin.

Their representative was, of course, Draco Malfoy. Draco held his platinum head high with pride, looking very arrogant.

But at the moment, it seems that even the prefect would not dare to provoke Draco, a small grade representative.

After giving the instructions, the prefect led everyone into the hall, and everyone found a seat to sit down. Draco looked towards the Gryffindor table, and sure enough, he didn't see Potter.

"Look, Potter and Weasley are not here as expected."

At this time, several owls flew in. They were the school owls. They threw one or two rolls of newspapers on the four college tables and the teachers' seats and flew away.

Snape, who was sitting in the teacher's seat, got the newspaper. He opened it and saw the content. His face turned worse and worse, so he stood up and left his seat.

At this time, Professor McGonagall also led the first-year students in and began the freshman sorting ceremony.

Draco looked at the newspaper and smiled smugly. He handed the newspaper to someone else, "Potter is in trouble."

"What's wrong?" asked Blaise next to him.

"Potter's flying car was seen by Muggles, they will be expelled." Draco watched Professor Snape walk to the door, where he was waiting for someone.

After a while, Harry and Ron came in stealthily.

"Here they come." Blaise nudged Draco with his shoulder.

Harry and Ron crouched down and moved to the empty seats in Gryffindor, completely unaware of how many people were secretly watching them, and they didn't even notice Professor Snape following closely behind them.

Reina looked at Snape, Snape raised his eyes, and their eyes met. Snape took a glance and then focused his attention on the two people in front of him.

Then Harry and Ron were called out by Snape.

"Woohoo~ Potter and Weasley have been taken out~ They will be expelled tomorrow~ Pack your bags and go home~"

Draco leaned on the table, shook his head and sang.

"Then let's make another bet. I bet they won't be fired." Lena smiled.

"Okay, five Galleons." Draco shrugged.

"You're starting a bet. I'll take part too. Three Galleons for Draco and I." Pansy came over.

"Are you coming?" Pansy asked the others.

Goyle and Crabbe also placed two Galleons and Draco.

"Five Galleons, me and Reina." Blaise said with a smile, "Reina, if you lose you have to pay me five Galleons."

"Theodore, are you coming?" Draco asked Theodore sitting opposite him.

Theodore glanced at Rena and said slowly, "I'm the same as Blaise."

"Draco, wait for your payment."

Reina blinked at Draco, "You don't know Dumbledore at all."
