HP: Let professors walk towards the light

Chapter 25 Unicorns and Centaurs

……

Finally, another group of people came back led by Hagrid, but Hagrid was very annoyed. Malfoy followed behind and made fun of Neville. Neville had a terrified look on his face, holding fireworks in his hands, and Reina looked helpless.

"It's strange that you guys can catch anything if you keep fooling around like this! Come here, let's divide into groups again. Harry, you and Neville switch. You and them will be in a group of two, and Neville will follow me!" He pulled Harry over and whispered to him, "I'm really sorry, but don't worry, if he dares to scare you again, he will be in trouble."

Harry nodded, expressing his understanding of Hagrid's approach. He would not let Hermione follow Draco, even if there was Reina with her. But after all, they were both girls, and it would be too dangerous if something happened.

So Harry walked over and held the lamp for Reina, and the three of them continued to walk deeper into the forest with Fang.

"The blood here is getting thicker. It looks like it's nearby. Everyone, please be careful."

Reina reminded the two that there was a lot of blood splattered on the roots of a tree, and the unicorn must have been seriously injured and struggled here for a while.

Seeing this, Draco held Fang tightly and wrapped the reins around his hands a few more times.

"Look!" Harry held the light forward. There was an open space and something seemed to be shining there.

They moved a little closer and saw clearly that there was a unicorn in the open space. It was lying there, surrounded by shiny blood, and looked dead. It was a sad but beautiful scene - its long and thin legs maintained a strange posture of struggle before death, and its silver-white mane reflected a moving luster like jewels, just spread on its body and scattered on the ground.

Harry was about to walk over there when he heard a strange sound and Reina quickly stopped him.

"Stop!" Lena shouted in a low voice.

A tightly covered black shadow rushed out from the darkness quickly. The black shadow was like a wild beast. It came to the unicorn, lay on it and began to suck its blood.

"Ahhh - Ahhhhhh -" Draco screamed in horror when he saw this scene, and then Fang seemed to be frightened as well and ran away, and Draco was dragged away by Fang.

The shadow looked up, the unicorn's blood dripping down its face. It saw Harry and rushed over quickly. Harry was so frightened that he couldn't move.

"Run, Harry!" Lena pulled Harry's arm and pulled him out.

At this moment, Harry suddenly covered his forehead in pain, staggered to his knees on the ground, the pain made him unable to stand up.

Lena frowned and looked at Harry's covered forehead, then looked up and saw that the dark shadow was almost in front of them. She didn't care about Harry and took out her wand to fight back.

At the critical moment, a man ran out from behind, jumped over Harry and pounced directly on the black shadow. No, it was a centaur!

Lena saw the centaur fighting with the black shadow. The black shadow seemed to be hesitant and was driven away by the centaur after a while.

"Ah!" Harry on the ground let out a cry of pain.

Reina quickly squatted down to check on Harry's condition, and seeing that he seemed to be better, she helped him up.

"Are you okay Harry?"

"I'm fine, thank you, what was that?" Harry asked.

"You must be a child of the Potter family." The centaur walked over and looked at Harry seriously, finally stopping his gaze on the red scar on Harry's forehead.

"It's best to go back to Hagrid now. The forest has been very uneasy lately - especially you, it's very dangerous. Can you ride a horse? It would be faster that way." He bent down and let Harry ride on his back. "My name is Firenze."

"What about Hermalena?" Harry asked.

Before Firenze could answer, hurried footsteps were heard from the other side of the clearing, and two more centaurs rushed out of the woods. Harry recognized them; they were Bane and Ronan, whom he had met before.

"Firenze!" The black centaur Bane spoke first.

"Are you crazy? Letting a man ride on your back, and you are not a mule, aren't you ashamed?"

"Look at him, he's Potter, he has to get out of here!" Firenze explained.

"What did you tell him?" Bane roared. "Firenze, we swore not to fight against God. You know what we foresaw."

The red-haired centaur Ronan also stomped the ground uneasily. He said in a sad tone: "I think Firenze should know what is best to do."

"What does that have to do with us!" Firenze raised his front legs angrily, and Harry grabbed his shoulders tightly to prevent him from falling.

"Didn't you see the unicorn? Don't you know why it was killed? Didn't the stars tell you the secret? Bane, I will fight all the bad things in this forest! I will stand on the side of humans when necessary."

After saying this, Firenze carried Harry around and rushed into the woods, leaving Bane and Ronan behind.

Ah, and there's also a confused Hermalena.

Bane was so angry that his nose was snorting. Reina stood alone on the side, and the atmosphere around them was filled with awkwardness.

Ronan found Reina who was left behind, walked over and asked, "Are you okay?"

"Thank you for your concern, I'm fine."

"I'm Ronan, his name is Bane." Ronan pointed at the black centaur, "Bane, this human girl has been left behind, what should we do?"

"You could send her out as a mount like Firenze did." Baine was still angry.

"Hey, Bane, I'm serious." Ronan turned to Lena and said, "I'm so sorry, he has a bad temper, you..."

"It's okay, you can call me Hermalena."

"Okay Hermalena, can you walk out on your own? We can show you the way."

"Sure, thank you."

"Bain, let's take her out first."

"Tsk, trouble." Bane walked towards Ronan and Lena.

The moonlight shone through layers of dark clouds, into the forest, and through the not-so-dense trees onto Lena. Her green robe was lifted up, and her silver-white hair sparkled in the moonlight. Her gray eyes looked hazy, calm and gentle.

Bain was stunned when he saw this scene. He said calmly, "Ronan, take another good look at who she is."

"how……"

When Ronan looked at Lena again, he was obviously stunned.

"Is there any problem?"

"Hemalena, what...is your last name?" Ronan faced Rena, and Bane walked in front of Rena.

"Tallos, Hermalena Tallos." Reina tilted her head.

"So -- that's it --" Ronan murmured.

"We have sworn not to interfere in worldly affairs, but - I still want to remind you that you should be careful, child of the Talros family." Baine said seriously.

"Let's go, Ronan, send her back."

Centaurs are very mysterious creatures, they live deep in the Forbidden Forest and rarely come into contact with wizards or Muggles from the outside world. They can also read the celestial phenomena and get prophetic signs from them, but from a certain point on they stopped interfering and became bystanders of the world.

Thinking of this, Lena knew that Bane and Ronan might have seen something, and she also understood that they would not tell her so she stopped asking. However, she still took Bane's reminder to heart.

After all, it doesn't sound like a good sign.
