HP: Let professors walk towards the light

Chapter 185 Sirius is Poisoned

"Why, do you want me to see you off to the end? I'm so sorry, but I won't live that long."

"I'll just deliver it to the gentleman." Sypens laughed.

Grindelwald glared at him, his cold face showing no emotion.

"However, you just said something wrong, sir."

"Oh, is it so?"

"I am very happy with your evaluation of me, but you have never wasted my time." Sypens smiled slightly. Should we say that they are worthy of being a grandfather and grandson? Hermalena also has a similar appearance to him.

Grindelwald looked at his face and studied him for a moment.

"You've become a nasty old fellow, too, Sypens."

"Go back to your England, don't forget to bring the letter with you, and by the way, check for me whether the old guy is living a happy life." He snorted coldly and walked towards the dim room.

"I have not allowed Dumbledore to die at the hands of anyone other than me. If I could tie him up, I would really like to see if there is really not even a piece of paper to be found in Hogwarts."

Grindelwald's voice echoed faintly between every brick in the basement.

"Yes."

Sypens responded softly, and after Grindelwald left, he turned into the silver-black owl again, stood on the crossbar of the bird stand, looked deeply at the ceiling for a while, and then closed his eyes.

Several floors above was Hermalena's room.

The night is dark, and Nurmengard is about to spend another night in the wind and snow.

Far across the Channel in England, Dumbledore was still harassing the old Black house.

"That's it, Sirius. Please forgive me for not letting Regulus's affairs be made public right now."

Dumbledore's shrewd eyes flickered in the candlelight. Opposite him sat only Sirius and Lupin. Sirius lowered his head, holding the forged Slytherin locket tightly in his hand.

"I know." His voice was muffled.

Lupin looked at Sirius with some concern. On Christmas Eve, Sirius took Harry on the boat. He didn't know what happened, but he knew that when Harry came back alone on the boat, his companions turned into Regulus's corpse. When Sirius appeared again, he was in a very bad state because he drank the poison inside and took back the fake locket.

"Snape...didn't get in touch?"

Lupin looked at Dumbledore. Sirius's health had been in the same condition since he came back, and coupled with the psychological blow, he looked extremely weak. It's not that they had not sought help from a therapist, but no one knew what the poison was. So when Dumbledore came to visit him about this matter, Lupin also told him that he hoped to get Snape's help.

However, Dumbledore regretfully informed them that Snape had gone to Germany and might even be out of contact for a while, so they did not catch up.

"I wrote a letter during the day but it was returned because Snape is not at the address he gave me." Dumbledore shook his head. After learning that Sirius had drunk the poison, he immediately sent a letter to Snape's so-called old house in Talros, but still missed it.

"Didn't you say he just left today, which means... he has lost contact?" Lupin couldn't help but cover his eyes and sighed deeply. Although he didn't know what Snape and Dumbledore were planning, losing contact was definitely not good news.

"We can only hope that Severus can resolve it within a week. It's unclear whether the poison has the same effect on wizards and elves, but judging from the fact that Kreacher is fine, it's at least certain that Sirius' condition is only temporary." The most important thing is to let Sirius adjust his emotions by himself.

Dumbledore folded his hands and rested his chin on them, looking through his glasses at the note lying on the table in front of him. On it were Regulus' last words.

[To the Dark Lord:

I know that I will be dead by the time you read this letter, but I want you to know that it was me who discovered your secret, and I have taken the real Horcrux and plan to destroy it as soon as possible.

I risked my life for you, but I was only a flesh-and-blood mortal when I met my opponent.

R.A.B.]

Dumbledore also closed his eyes and let out a long breath. Although he had known all this before, when he actually saw these words, his heart was stabbed. It was really...

Upstairs, Harry was also rubbing his hair in annoyance in his room. He was sad for Regulus and worried about Sirius, but he was just a child who could do nothing. He also wrote a letter to Reina, but Hedwig didn't find Reina either.

"What kind of savior is this..." He had no idea what on earth he should do.

The next day, many people came to the Black family.

Most members of the Order of the Phoenix knew about Regulus from Dumbledore. Although it could not be made public to the mass media, members of the Order trusted each other. They were also worried about Sirius so they made an appointment to come and visit him.

Hermione naturally noticed Harry's mood, and she and Ron took Harry out to visit Diagon Alley.

"Harry, look, the newspaper says Lockhart was sent to Azkaban yesterday." Ron patted Harry and handed the newspaper to him.

"I almost forgot about this guy after the news storm in the summer. I didn't expect to see the news that he was sent to Azkaban today. Phew~ I feel relieved!"

"Well, I remember hearing someone from Slytherin say that it seems to be related to the dark-skinned Zabini." Hermione came over.

"That's not surprising. After all, he was beaten pretty badly by Lockhart. Zabini's mother will definitely not let Lockhart go easily." Ron pursed his lips.

"Wait, over there..." Hermione pulled the two of them, raised her chin and motioned them to look forward.

It's Platinum-headed Malfoy.

"Ah... let's go over there!" Ron turned and pointed elsewhere.

"Hey! Isn't this Saint Potter and his little follower?" Draco had already noticed this side. He crossed his arms over his chest and raised his eyebrows at Potter.

"Oh, it's you, Malfoy." Harry responded calmly.

"Huh?" Draco was curious about Harry's look. He had even prepared himself for a friendly "debate" with these people, but ended up with nothing.

"What? Did the Black family go bankrupt or were you finally expelled from Hogwarts? Who are you showing this miserable look to?" Draco looked Harry up and down.

"I heard that Black is sick and is looking for a therapist." Theodore beside Draco reminded Draco warmly.

"I see." Draco understood and thought that if his father was sick, he probably wouldn't be in a good mood. However, it was impossible for his father to be that sick.

"It seems that the Black family is bankrupt and can't even afford a therapist?" Having said that, isn't the Black family quite wealthy?

"Anyway, just like you heard, whether I'm seriously ill or bankrupt, I'm so miserable now, you can laugh if you want to." Harry spread his hands. He no longer cared about Draco's talking skills.
