HP: Let professors walk towards the light

Chapter 122 Reina's Rebirth 28

"Oh hey, Snape, I didn't expect Montmorency would invite you here. You're so welcome. We were just talking about Hogwarts."

As soon as I entered the hall, I met a few people. One of them, a man with a goatee, came over and greeted me.

"Jenna." Snape nodded.

"I've never seen you bring a female companion." Jenner looked at Lena beside him, "Who is this?"

Snape's appearance had already attracted the attention of nearly half of the people in the hall, and Rena, who was standing next to him with her arm around his, attracted everyone's attention. Rena draped the rabbit fur shawl over her arm to cover the Dark Mark on her arm, and quietly cast a Confusion Charm.

It seemed that no one was paying attention to what was happening here, but in fact many people were waiting for Snape's answer.

"My student, Hermalena Talros. She has a decent talent for potions. Bring her out to see the world," said Snape.

"A student who you can bring out to see the world should be more than just 'okay'." Jenner gave him a meaningful look.

"Look forward to it." Snape walked past him and walked inside.

"Why did the professor bring me here?" Lena tilted her head to look at him.

"Christmas."

Reina sounded a little weird about Snape's answer.

"Montmorency." Snape brought Rena to a man in a neat suit who looked to be in his sixties or seventies.

"Wow, I'm very happy to see you at my party, Severus Snape. You know, it's not easy to invite you out." Montmorency laughed twice.

"I didn't expect you to bring a surprise. She looks like she's still in school."

"Yes, hello sir, I am Tallos, Hermarena Tallos." Rena extended her hand first.

Montmorency shook it politely.

"There are still quite a few people who are genuine at the banquet today. Snape, you can take your beloved disciple for a good look around."

Snape nodded, and Montmorency left to greet the others.

"What do you mean?" Lena asked.

Snape glanced at her and said, "In today's society, no matter what you do, you need connections. You are good at Potions. Get to know more people and try to publish a few research papers in some authoritative newspapers while you are in school. Don't waste your remaining talent. At the very least, a Potions Master cannot be without even an outstanding student."

“Ah? But my Potions results can’t be that good…” Reina felt a little guilty.

"It's indeed not that good, but in Hogwarts, it's just okay. The knowledge reserves, hands-on skills, innovative ability and so on are all acceptable." Snape took Rena to the sofa by the wall.

"What's more, you cured me of the poison from Nagini."

"Isn't it because of the Phoenix Tears?" Lena asked in surprise.

"Remember what I said?"

Snape sat down, and Lena followed and sat next to Snape.

"What do you mean?" The first thing that came to Lena's mind was that putting too much Houttuynia cordata would damage the liver.

"The potion you used is acceptable, but it has some minor flaws. It's already very good to be able to achieve that level without case references and recipe tutorials. The existence of Phoenix Tears can neutralize any mistakes. You used a whole bottle on me, drinking and applying it. Even if I drank the potion made by Longbottom, I would not die." Snape said.

"You can study your potion when you get back. Based on my experience, it should be easy to get a bonus."

"But professor...we don't have Nagini's poison, how can we verify it? How do we explain the verification materials?" Reina asked.

"Then go catch that snake."

"Maybe..." I can't do it, Professor, Reina thought. Now, Nagini is Voldemort's favorite. Will the professor doubt his life after finding out this? However, he might doubt me first.

"You sit here, I'm going to go out for a while. Someone might come to see you later. Just chat with them and get to know them. There's no need to waste words. If someone you don't like, just reject them directly."

Snape stood up and was about to leave when he turned back and warned: "Don't eat anything here, not even tea or drinks - if you are thirsty or hungry, come out and find me."

Although she was a little confused and didn't know why, Reina nodded blankly.

Just after Snape left for a while, someone came over and started chatting him up.

Most of them were people who had achieved some success or admired Snape's talent. In their opinion, a student who could get the approval of the Potions Master Snape must be right. And the other party was young and had not experienced any major things, so he was easily bewitched by words, so they all wanted to come up and get some of his support.

During this time, many people came over with drinks and desserts, but Lena followed Snape's instructions and declined.

After one or two times, the shrewd Reina understood the strangeness. Montemorency, love potion, potion master... There will always be no shortage of despicable people in the world, and naturally there will be no shortage of despicable means.

After sending away batches of people with cold faces, those famous and promising serious potion masters slowly began to find Reina.

Sure enough, all banquets in the world are the same, no matter what the theme.

But in the end, Reina still got to know some meaningful people, such as the president and editor-in-chief of the newspaper, the director and team members of the research institute, and even the potion material suppliers and potion entrepreneurs.

After finally exchanging contact addresses with a master of herbology, Reina ended her social life and went out to find Snape.

In the yard, Snape was standing in front of a bunch of lilies, staring at the white lilies as if no one was around.

"You like Lily(lily)?"

Reina walked up to Snape and asked softly, maybe she should use the plural form...

Snape's eyebrows were slightly furrowed. Just as he was about to speak, Reina continued, "I like lilies, too. Lily powder can whiten your skin when applied on your face. When I had a cold and cough when I was a child, my father would directly cook lilies for me. My father also practices potions and herbs, and he is a very capable person."

"Professor, let's go back, home." Lena gently held Snape's arm with her right hand.

Snape looked at Reina. Her eyes revealed a hint of fatigue. Her gray-blue eyes were mysterious as if covered with mist. Her skin was a little sickly pale but she always maintained a gentle temperament. The necklace really suited her.

Snape didn't say a word, and Disapparated with Rena, leaving Montemorency Manor and returning to Rena's home.

It was still early, not yet time for dinner, so Reina changed out of her dress and put on her wizard coat again.

In the room on the second floor, Reina looked out the window at the back garden of the manor. In this cold weather, the sunflowers were still blooming. This small patch of sunflowers was well protected by Reina's heat preservation spell. Just like the lilies in the Montmorency Manor, they could bloom dazzlingly in winter.

-

"Professor, this is for you." When it was almost time for dinner, Reina cut the best sunflower, wrapped it up, cast a layer of heat-preserving and moisturizing spell on it, and gave it to Snape.

"There are also flowers in the backyard of my manor, sunflowers." Reina put her hands on the table.

"Sunflower, soothing liver." Snape commented in concise language.

"That was also left by my father. When I was a child, he said that he hoped I could always face the light like a sunflower." Lena simply ignored Snape's words.

"When a sunflower blooms and matures, it no longer moves with the sun," Snape said, "just like the one you chose."

"But it has been bathed in the sun and has a perfect ending. In my opinion, it is now light, so I give it to you."

Reina smiled, as warm as the sunflower in Snape's hand.

On the eve of the start of school, the Death Eaters were gathered together again. The Azkaban prison breakout was about to begin.

After not seeing each other for a long time, there were a few more colleagues at the long table of Malfoy Manor. They were also shocked by the appearance of Rena, but because of Voldemort, no one questioned it. What's more, Rena, who was on a mission, sat one step closer to Voldemort.

Voldemort's strength has almost recovered. He personally selected many people to participate in this activity. The prison escape plan was simple and crude. They would directly blow up Azkaban. Most of the Death Eaters were imprisoned in the upper prison, and they could release many of them by directly blowing up the top floor.

Most of the people at the long table had been sent away, except for some small fry sitting at the end, as well as the Malfoy family and Reina.

There was no emotion on Lucius' face. He silently followed the main group and retreated with Narcissa and Draco. Rena, who was following closely behind, was suddenly stopped by Voldemort and stayed behind.

"Master, please give me your orders." Reina lowered her head and didn't look at him directly.

At this time, a familiar sound of spitting came from behind Reina. Nagini went around Reina's waist, then went back behind her, wrapped Reina around and came out from her shoulder. Reina's body was fixed by Nagini and she could not move. Her slippery and cold skin caused her to shiver. The huge snake head turned 180 degrees and stared at Reina's face.

Reina was forced to look Nagini in the face. She tried to calm down and practiced the brain occlusion technique.

Suddenly, Nagini opened her huge mouth, revealing her sharp fangs and threatening Reina.

Voldemort spoke to it in Parseltongue. Nagini closed her huge mouth and looked back at him.

"Reina--" Voldemort slowly walked in front of Reina, his skeleton-like hands brushed across Reina's face, chin, and neck, and hooked the chain of the blue topaz pendant.

"I think I should give you a chance to explain." He put his arm around Reina's shoulders affectionately and stroked Nagini with his other hand.

"Nagini told me not long ago that she suddenly remembered something very important. She seemed to have seen you and another man in the forest of Albania. You broke into her territory and even hurt her. Look at the scars on her back. They were left by you. Don't you want to tell me about it?"

Voldemort traced the shallow scratch-like scar on Nagini's back with his hand.

"Master, please allow me to ask, when was that?" Lena asked bravely.

"What happened two-years ago, before I met her, Reyna?" Voldemort spoke very slowly, as if he was executing a prisoner by slow slicing.

"It's like this, Master, please listen to me." Reina tried to calm down.

"I have recently developed a magic that can travel through time. I want to present it to you. It can go back to the past. Unlike the time converter, as you can see, I can go back to two years ago. However, there is a flaw in the magic. I accidentally broke into Nagini's territory... I can't present a defective product to the master, so I want to perfect it and present it to the master perfectly... Master, I really want to do something for you... uh..."

While Reina was speaking, Nagini gradually began to use more force, holding Reina tightly. Voldemort sat back in his seat, and Nagini wrapped around Reina's chest. A strong feeling of suffocation came over her, and Reina knelt on the ground.

"Master... I'm sorry... This was an accident. I want to present the time magic perfectly to you... Please trust me..."

Reina, who was nearly suffocated, heard the sound of her ribs breaking very clearly.

Voldemort seemed to have given an order, and before losing consciousness, Nagini let go of Reina and crawled towards Voldemort.

Reina struggled to crawl on the ground. The relief of the suffocation made her breathe deeply unconsciously, but the severe pain in her chest was very torturous.

"Thank...thank you, Master..." Reina said in a weak voice.

"Tell me about your magic."

"Yes...it can go back to a long time ago...If I improve it further, I can let it go back to the exact time and place...and change the established reality." Reina's words seemed to have lasted for half a century.

"Good idea. You mean, I can use your time magic to go back in time and kill the savior Harry Potter. Then what will I become if I go back to the present?" Voldemort became interested.

"Fate will run according to its trajectory. Once fate is broken, there will be time to correct it... If Potter dies, the master can easily rule the entire wizarding world. Potter just delays the master's progress..."

"Hahahaha, very good, I love to hear it. I hope your magic will be as perfect as you said. I'm looking forward to it." Voldemort laughed, his face full of joy.

"Yes... Thank you Master for giving me the chance... Thank you Master..." Rena slowly propped herself up. Her broken ribs restricted her movements. When she finally stood up, she bowed to Voldemort while enduring the pain.

"Owner……"

“Don’t thank me yet.” Voldemort showed an evil smile, “Nagini is very unhappy, you guys are not gentle——”

"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"

Just as Reina was about to raise her head to defend herself, she suddenly felt a sharp pain. The moment she finished the spell, she fell heavily to the ground. It was completely different from when her bones were broken. Reina felt as if someone had stabbed her bones with a sharp weapon and scraped them. She was living a life worse than death. Reina curled up on the ground and convulsed. Her fingers were firmly clenched on the carpet, and several nails had been blown off. Her desire for death reached its peak at this moment.

"Ah ah ah ah ah--"

The shrill screams spread throughout Malfoy Manor through the unclosed door.
