Chapter 721 Message, First Hearing Himiko

Laura pulled it out and saw a photo of herself and her father, as well as a piece of paper with a copper key rolled up on it.

She unfolded the note and read: "The first letter from my destination."

"But he didn't leave any letters." Mr. Yafu said in surprise.

Laura looked at the note in her hand, then suddenly realized something and said, "Excuse me."

As he said that, he stood up and was about to walk outside.

"Laura..." Anna Miller shouted, but it was of no use.

Luo Youwei quickly chased after him.

Crawford Hall, Abingdon, Surrey.

Luo Youwei drove the car and stopped in front of the iron carved door. After Laura got out of the car, she said, “I’ll go put it in the car first and come back soon. If you can’t wait, you can go explore first. I don’t mind.”

"Don't worry, I will definitely wait for you." Laura stood at the door of Crawford Manor, feeling indescribably complicated.

Luo Youwei drove into a nearby manor that was equally vast and magnificent.

That was also a Row and Prince estate that Diana bought shortly after the start of World War II.

The original owner of the manor died in the war. In order to make a living and escape the chaotic Europe at that time to the United States, his descendants sold the manor to Diana.

Diana owns quite a few properties in London, so she doesn't often come here to live.

Until one year she brought Luo Youwei here for vacation, and then she met Laura, who was also young at the time. The two children, who were two or three years apart in age, became good friends.

Since then, the two have been in contact through letters, emails and phone calls.

Rosen didn't know about this relationship because he had spent too short a time with Luo Youwei.

Even Rosen only found out about this manor next door when he checked in last night that it belonged to the Crawford family.

Rosen immediately thought of the Crawford Antique Shop where he had visited during World War I, and couldn't help wondering whether it was related to the Crawford family.

It’s a pity that Diana was not around, and Rosen had no way to verify it.

After Luo Youwei drove the car back to Luo and Prince Manor, she rode her bicycle to the next door and met Laura who was waiting for her at the door. She then drove her to the depths of the manor, where the Crawford family members of all generations rested.

Laura walked straight to the last sarcophagus with the inscription "Memorial to Earl Richard Crawford" and said to Luo Youwei, "This is the end."

As she spoke, she reached out and poked the first letter R, and something popped out, revealing a keyhole.

Laura took out the key she had obtained before, inserted it, and turned it. Then the tombstone wall next to her suddenly popped open, revealing a passage leading downwards.

"Will you come down with me?" Laura asked.

"If it's convenient, of course." Luo Youwei said.

"Then come with me." Laura took her hand and walked down the stairs a little, then reached out and touched the wall, and turned on a switch.

Immediately the lights came on, and a huge space appeared in front of the two girls.

There are many display shelves here, on which are placed various cultural relics and some strange things.

The walls are covered with various photos, notes, clippings, etc.

Laura walked to the table against the wall, opened the drawer, saw a stack of passports, picked up one and took a look. The photo belonged to her father, but the name was Ivanov-Alexander, and the same was true for the other passports.

This puzzled Laura, and she didn't know what her father was doing.

Luo Youwei picked up the two passports and looked at them. She said, "As far as I know, people who have so many passports are either employed by the country's agents or bad guys who stir up trouble all over the world. Otherwise, who would need so many identities?"

As she spoke, she pointed at the cultural relics everywhere, especially many of which were obviously from China, and said, "Judging from these things, your father doesn't seem to be the explorer or archaeologist you mentioned, but more like a tomb robber."

"No, it won't." Laura denied quickly.

"I hope not." Luo Youwei said: "Don't take it too seriously. What I just said was just a guess."

Laura saw a DV next to her, picked it up, charged it, and turned it on to play.

"Hello, I know you can solve my puzzle." Richard Crawford appeared in front of the two girls. "I'm sorry, if you are watching this video, then... it means I'm dead."

“You realize now that there’s more to my life than board meetings and business deals, which is something I couldn’t tell you before.”

"I was devastated when your mother died, so I began to explore the world, eager to find clues to the other world to prove that the supernatural is real."

"Any possibility that would allow me to feel that she is still with me, I am extremely interested in them."

"Now I need you to do me a favor. I need you to help me burn all the research on Himiko, notebooks, tapes, everything."

"This is important because if this research falls into the wrong hands it could be devastating, so do it now."

"I know you don't like being told what to do, but please promise me this. I hope you never see this video, but if you do, and you find my secret mission, I hope you can find yours too."

"Daddy loves you."

……

Laura turned off the DV and turned to look at the box next to it with the word "Himiko" written on it.

After opening the lid, the first thing Laura saw was a recorder. She picked it up and charged it, then pressed the answer button.

"On October 10, people called Queen Himiko the Mother of Death. All the stories about her ended with rivers of blood, bewitching the world, controlling people's hearts, and just touching her hands could spread plague and death. The disaster ended only when her general buried her in a tomb."

"She was sealed away in an isolated place, an island that no one could reach. History had erased its existence. The Lost Island of Yamatai. I am sure this is the place."

"On July 2005, 7, I finally found a captain who was willing to take me to the island." (Note 29)

"I have to get there first to make sure her power doesn't fall into the wrong hands."

Laura found a fax with the cost of the boat and the specific address.

"I know this place." Luo Youwei glanced at the Hong Kong Island address above and said, "If you need, we can go over and take a look."

"Vivian, do you believe what my father said?" Laura looked at Luo Youwei and said, "I mean those supernatural powers."

"Since there are aliens, then what's so strange about these things?" Luo Youwei took her hand and walked outside, pointing at the bicycle they had just ridden in.

Immediately, Laura was shocked to see that it suddenly turned into the red apple that he had given to Luo Youwei in the fighting gym.

Now it is as bright red as before, except that it seems to be covered with a little dust.

"Wow, this is... magic" Laura's face was full of shock and disbelief.

"Of course." Luo Youwei nodded calmly.

"Where did you learn it?" Laura asked.

"Hogwarts." Luo Youwei looked at her and said, "I just don't know if there is a nine and three quarters station in London."

"Can you tell me about it?" Laura asked curiously.

"We can go over and take a look." Luo Youwei took her hand and walked outside, saying, "I can tell you slowly on the way."

Note: In the plot, it was just picked up and used. After seven years, it still had power. The same was true for the tape recorder later. I was really impressed.

Note 2: In the plot it is July 2011, 7, but I have adjusted it here for the sake of timeline consistency.
