Chapter 463 Confidential Matter, Meteor Crater

Demolishing holes in walls is naturally Hammer 80's strong point, but installing the various instruments that Tony urgently purchased requires Rosen to do it himself.

After all, he has a variable robotic arm in his hand, so he can disassemble and assemble anything with ease.

On this day, Tony Stark had already installed the equipment and was performing the final debugging when a familiar figure suddenly walked in from outside the door.

But Tony obviously didn't give him enough authority, so he was blocked from the door.

"Why is Phil Coulson here?" Rosen asked in surprise.

"Not long ago, when I was racking my brains over how to find new elements, their one-eyed director came to see me."

Tony used a level to adjust the height of the coil and said, "First he explained to me why they sent agents to me, and then he gave me some of my father's things."

"Later, he said that in order to ensure my safety and prevent a madman like Ivan Vanko from appearing again, Coulson could bring people to the Stark Industries Building to provide me with 24-hour personal protection."

Tony said this, raised his head and smiled sarcastically, "If it was that Natasha, before I knew her identity, it would be okay for her to give me 24-hour personal protection."

"Now..." He glanced at Coulson, who was not old but already showing signs of baldness, and sneered, "Forget about it if it's him."

"You refused?"

"Of course." Tony nodded, then frowned and said, "But they were not willing to leave. After arguing for a long time, they finally took a step back. They retreated outside the building to be responsible for the external security. If they encountered any dangerous situation, they would enter Stark Tower."

"Then what is he doing here today?" Rosen glanced at Coulson standing outside the glass door and asked casually.

"Who knows?" Tony said, "Jarvis, open the door and let him in."

Click.

The glass door opened and Coulson walked in.

After greeting Rosen with a smile, he asked Tony, "I heard you've been out before?"

"Yes." Tony nodded and said nonsense seriously, "But that was three years ago."

"I have something to do." Coulson explained, implying that I can't always be guarding you outside the building.

"I have something to do, too." Tony pointed to the coils around him and said, "It worked. I'm busy, what can I do for you?"

"No more." Coulson shook his head and said, "Goodbye, I've been reassigned."

"Oh." Tony was busy adjusting the coil and responded unconsciously.

"Are you leaving?" Rosen asked.

"Director Fury wants me to go to New Mexico." Coulson stared at Rosen, hesitant to speak, as if waiting for Rosen to ask further questions.

"It's a nice place." Rosen said with a smile, "It's nice to take a walk and see the scenery after work."

"Is it a confidential matter?" Tony suddenly asked.

"That's about right." Coulson looked at Rosen and Tony, as if waiting for them to ask what was going on.

"Good luck to you then." Tony stood up and held out his hand to him.

"Thank you." Coulson shook his hand, then looked at Tony and Rosen and said, "We need you."

"Just talk to him, no need to bring me along." Rosen shook his head and said, "I'm not familiar with your SHIELD, so your business has nothing to do with me."

Rosen turned and walked away, looking completely unrelated.

Tony shrugged and said to Coulson, "Goodbye, then."

"If there is any trouble, can I ask you for help?" Coulson suddenly whispered, "After all, you are Iron Man."

"You can call me..." Tony was secretly happy, but pretended to be reserved and said, "But whether I can help you depends on whether I am busy at that time."

"Thank you." Coulson thanked again, waved and turned away.

Not long after Phil Coulson left, Tony turned on the debugged equipment and successfully produced new elements. At the same time, his newly made reactor also smoothly accepted the modified energy core. Everything was moving in a good direction.

"If Ivan Vanko hadn't died, I would have asked him to come over and see for himself, and ask him if he had anything else to say." Tony said proudly and disdainfully.

Proud of his own achievements, but at the same time disdainful of guys like Ivan Vanko.

"What's wrong with him?" Rosen asked knowingly.

So Tony talked about the feud between Ivan Vanko's father Anton Vanko and his father Howard Stark.

In the end, it’s all to prove that all the problems lie with Vanke and his son, and that Stark and his son are good people with pure character.

Rosen was too lazy to comment on this.

However, there is one thing he can be sure of, Anton Vanke may not be so despicable and shameless, but Howard Stark may not be as pure as a little white flower in this matter.

Back then, both the United States and the Soviet Union wanted to kill each other, so it was normal for them to resort to some shady means.

Anyway, it is common practice for Americans to do these things. If you think about it in reality... it is not surprising at all.

Besides, now that Anton Vanko and Ivan Vanko, father and son, are both dead, there is no point in arguing about who is right or wrong in these past events.

Seeing Rosen's lack of interest, Tony lost interest in the conversation and immediately changed the subject: "Are you really not curious about why Coulson went to New Mexico?"

"Too much curiosity is not a good thing." Rosen said calmly: "How do you know that Coulson is not deliberately using this as bait to lure you into the trap?"

"Old men have little interest in anything. I'm still young and full of curiosity." Tony said, clapping his hands twice and said, "Jarvis, take a look at what happened in New Mexico."

Rosen couldn't help but sneer at the first half of Tony's sentence, but he was more puzzled as to why he was interested in what happened in New Mexico.

He remembered very clearly that in the original plot of Iron Man 2, when Coulson came to say goodbye, Tony behaved extremely calmly and had no intention of asking about the so-called confidential matters.

Now, he actually took the initiative to investigate the matter.

This made Rosen doubt. Could it be that the plot changed because of his involvement?

He couldn't help but wonder what would happen if Iron Man and Thor met in advance.

To be honest, Rosen was somewhat looking forward to it.

Just as Rosen was lost in his thoughts, the holographic projection in front of him showed a lot of news about New Mexico that Jarvis had just collected.

Among them are various public videos and news, as well as those that are not public. In short, they are varied.

Tony browsed through them quickly and deleted them at will.

Soon there was only one picture left on the holographic projection.

It was a huge circular pit with a square hammer stuck diagonally into the ground in the center.

But no one took the hammer away, obviously the hammer was not as simple as it looked.

"Rosen, did you see anything?" Tony asked casually.

"This pit looks very much like a meteorite crater, but judging by the depth and radius of the pit, the weight of the object that fell must be quite heavy." Rosen pointed at the hammer and said, "If it was really caused by this hammer, then its density must be extraordinary."

"That's what I thought." Tony smiled and said, "Would you like to go and see what's going on? Maybe there will be some surprises?"

"Tony, the muddy waters of S.H.I.E.L.D. are not easy to wade into," Rosen said.

"What does it have to do with them?" Tony said disapprovingly, "We are just two tourists who happened to be hanging out in New Mexico. We heard there was something going on, so we went over to take a look. Isn't that illegal?"

"Since you said so, let's go." Rosen nodded. He actually wanted to try whether he could lift the Thor's hammer with his current strength.
