Chapter 165: Delivery, mother and daughter are safe

Hug and kiss...

Both sides fully released the love and longing that had been accumulated for a long time.

The staff in the manor had already left quietly at the signal of the butler David Lawrence.

After a long time, Rosen stroked Diana's belly and said guiltily, "You've worked so hard."

"Don't say that." Diana smiled and shook her head, saying, "For me, this is a very wonderful process. I enjoy the process of conceiving a baby, and what makes me even happier is that he belongs to you and me."

As she spoke, she looked at Rosen lovingly, and said with a sense of carefreeness and regret: "It's a pity that you were not here most of the time, so you missed a lot of important moments, such as the first time I heard his heartbeat..."

"I was already very depressed before you said it, and I feel even sadder after hearing what you said." Rosen sighed.

As his first child, he certainly hoped to be able to stay with Diana all the time, feel the baby's growth, and share all the happiness with Diana.

It’s a pity that the system did not give him such an opportunity.

"Don't be sad." Diana touched Rosen's face and said with a smile: "I left all the photos and videos. You can watch them anytime you want."

"That's great, thank you, my wife. I'm so lucky to have you." Rosen smiled and kissed Diana a few times, but he didn't rush to look at the photos and videos. Instead, he continued to stay by her side and listened to her chat about her life in the past seven or eight years since they last met.

After Rosen left that day, Diana's drowsiness, fatigue and sleepiness were immediately relieved, and her long-lost strength also returned continuously.

Although she was sad about Rosen's departure, she didn't let herself be sad for too long.

After all, she had experienced such separation more than once since the day she met Rosen.

In the past, she hoped to reunite with Rosen as soon as possible, but now, in addition to this expectation, she also hopes that Rosen can always be safe and sound.

After leaving San Francisco, Diana did not continue her unfinished tour around the United States, but went directly back to Washington.

However, she did not go back to work, but started a life of pregnancy and vacation.

In the first two years she could still stay in one place, but after she became pregnant, she felt like she had grown weeds in her heart and always wanted to go out for a walk.

So she has to travel around the world from time to time and buy some real estate.

It was not until the end of last year that she came to New York and settled down there to prepare for the birth of her baby.

"I didn't expect that you have lived such a colorful life over the years. That's great," Rosen exclaimed.

"What about you?" Diana asked casually.

"Don't mention it." Rosen smiled bitterly, "I started taking final exams after I went back, and they only ended two days ago. Then I rushed over here without stopping. I didn't expect it would take so long."

"Fortunately, you didn't miss his birth." Diana comforted with a smile.

"Him?" Rosen was startled and asked, "Have you confirmed the gender of the baby?"

"No." Diana shook her head and said, "He is a surprise from God, so I don't want to know these things too early. Isn't it better to leave everything until he is born?"

At this point, she touched her belly gently, then looked at Rosen and said, "But I like him to be a boy, handsome and brave, just like you, so that he can protect me when you are not around."

"Okay." What else could Rosen say at this time? He could only nod.

But he hoped that his first child would be a girl.

"Are you ready for production?" Rosen asked with concern.

"Of course." Diana smiled and said, "As early as half a month ago, David hired the best obstetricians and nurses in New York City to live in the manor and be on call at any time. There is an operating room in the manor, and the necessary medical equipment and surgical instruments are all the best, so there is no need to worry at all."

"Yeah." Rosen nodded and asked, "Where did David come from? Why haven't I heard you mention him before?"

"I hired him when I was still living in England," Diana said with a nostalgic tone. "We were not married at that time, and the war had just started. Germany often bombed England, causing many innocent casualties."

"David's former employer, his wife and children died in the bombing. When I saw him, he was standing by the Thames with a look of despair on his face, wanting to jump into the river to commit suicide. I saved him, and then he has been managing my properties and real estate in the UK for me."

At this point, she looked at Rosen and said, "He was there when we got married. Before I could find a chance to introduce you two, you returned to the team. Then there was the battle with Hydra, and then I followed you to the United States, so there was no chance for you two to meet."

"Didn't he say he had been in England all along? Then why did he come to America?" Rosen asked casually.

"Because I don't know if you can come back before the baby is born, and I need someone I can trust by my side at that time, and David happens to be the best person."

Diana took Rosen's arm and said, "I know you don't like being served and it's hard for you to trust outsiders, but David has been with me for nearly half a century and is absolutely trustworthy."

Rosen nodded, no longer dwelling on the matter, and asked, "How is Howard Steinke now?"

"He died in 91." Diana had met Howard before because of Rosen, and they even occasionally interacted with each other in the United States over the years.

Now that he mentioned his death, he couldn't help but feel a little sad, saying, "So far, we haven't found out who the murderer is."

"So who is in charge of Stark Industries now?"

"Tony Stark, Howard's only son." Diana said, "That little guy is a genius, but he's also a complete playboy, very similar to Howard when he was young. I wonder who will be able to tame this unruly wild horse in the future?"

"We'll see."

"I'm curious too... Oh hiss!" Suddenly, Diana groaned and covered her stomach, saying, "Rosen, I think I'm about to give birth."

Rosen looked down and saw that her water had broken. He quickly helped her sit aside and pressed the emergency button.

Soon a group of doctors and nurses rushed over and carefully transferred Diana to the operating room that had been converted into a delivery room. Then Rosen faced hours of waiting and endless worries.

It was not until the early morning of the next day that a nurse came to him with a smile on her face and told him that Diana had given birth to a girl, everything went well, and both mother and daughter were safe.

Rosen was stunned for a moment before he came to his senses. From that moment on, he became a father.

Then he wrote a line on the notepad on his phone: August 1994, 8, 6:6 am, my daughter was born naturally, crying loudly, happy!!!
