Two generations of military wives compete for time

The next morning, after finishing his work at the company, Qian Yizhen went to the Jiaotong University laboratory to find Professor Chen Zhuoran. He arrived at the door of the laboratory, explained his purpose, changed into a lab coat, and walked into the laboratory.

After get off work, when she got home, her grandmother Yalu was playing with Junhua on the bed. When she saw Qian Yizhen coming in, Junhua crawled over with her hands and feet, opened her little hands, and asked her mother to hold her. Qian Yizhen told his uncle Chen Haoyu that he was leaving for Hong Kong the day after tomorrow. His uncle put down the book in his hand and looked at Qian Yizhen: "Okay, I'll give Chen Mengwei a long distance call and tell her to get ready."

The next morning, Qian Yizhen asked Qian Zuhua to go to the department store and bought him two sets of formal clothes, shoes and necessary toiletries.

He advised Qian Zuhua earnestly: "When you go to Hong Kong, you must broaden your horizons. Be warm and polite to your aunt, uncle and other relatives, and take the initiative to say hello. Don't always keep people at a distance. Observe more and think more. Find your own advantages, get rid of your inferiority complex, and regain your self-confidence." On the way back, the siblings stopped by the vegetable market and bought fresh leeks, pork, and other dishes. After arriving home, Qian Yizhen immediately went to Professor Chen's house next door to inform sister-in-law Hao Xia to come over in the afternoon to make dumplings and have dinner in the evening.

Grandma Chen Yalu, sister-in-law Hao Xia, and Qian Yizhen were in charge of making dumplings. Grandpa Lu Kaipu, Qian Yiyun, and Professor Chen were cooking in the kitchen. Grandma Lu Jingde and Li Hongmei were playing with Junhua. Uncle Chen Haoyu was chatting and laughing with everyone while drinking tea. Dad Qian, Mom Qian, and Qian Zuhua were sitting in the yard in a daze.

Around six o'clock in the evening, eight dishes and one soup were placed on the table, and steaming dumplings were served.

Everybody sat around the dining table, and great uncle Chen Haoyu spoke first: "As the saying goes, dumplings start with food and noodles end with food. Come on, let's raise our glasses to see Professor Chen, Dad Qian, Mom Qian, and Qian Zuhua off. I wish you a safe journey and a satisfied return." Everybody ate and drank, raised their glasses frequently, and had a great time. They were in harmony and happy, and they were well fed and well drunk.

In the morning, just after daybreak, driver Shi Jiayang arrived at the old house of the Chen family. Professor Chen was already waiting at the gate. After a while, Dad Qian holding Mom Qian's hand, Qian Zuhua and Qian Yiyun dragging suitcases, Qian Yizheng holding Junhua, great uncle Chen Haoyu, grandfather Lu Kaipu, and grandmother Chen Yalu arrived at the gate one after another.

Professor Chen, Qian's father, Qian's mother, and Qian Zuhua got in the car and waved goodbye to everyone.
