Quick Travel to the Clouds

Chapter 607 I am a Rabbit-Eared Clan 25

Behind the bushes was a small, slightly open depression, thick with damp moss, providing excellent cover.

“This is it,” the scarred tiger soldier said, throwing away his spear and stepping forward with naked desire.

The Bone Dagger Tiger Soldier also threw down his knife and began to untie the leather rope around his waist. His gaze lingered on the fox girl's curvaceous figure, completely ignoring the seemingly weak and submissive rabbit girl beside him.

An opportunity! This is the only chance!

Just as the scarred tiger soldier's rough hands were about to grab Yun Chu's collar and press her to the ground, Yun Chu's fear was suddenly replaced by an almost cold-blooded resolve.

She unleashed all her strength and slammed into the scarred tiger soldier's half-bent body, letting out a shrill scream that was inhuman!

This is not fear, but a signal, a charade she's creating to cover up her true actions!

This sudden resistance caught Scarface Tiger off guard, causing him to stumble.

In that instant, Yun Chu's hand flashed into the bottom of the vine basket, her target clear—she simultaneously gripped the dry, hard fragments of snake fern and the petals of dark firefly lotus in her palm, squeezing, kneading, and tearing them!

She felt no pain as her skin was scratched by thorns, and the juices of the two plants that were already deeply rooted in her heart instantly mingled in her palm!

"You're asking for death!" the Bone Dagger Tiger Soldier roared as he turned around.

Without the slightest hesitation, Yun Chu's hand, covered in a mixture of venom, slammed down with a ruthless intent to take everyone down with her. It struck the scarred tiger soldier's gaping maw in shock.

She practically shoved her entire fist, along with the plant debris mixed with venom, into it! Her movements were as swift as a hunting snake!

"Ugh—Pfft!" The stench and stickiness, mixed with the tiger soldiers' shock and anger, instantly silenced his roar.

Almost at the same moment, Yun Chu turned around!

Faced with the dagger thrust by the Bone Tiger Soldier, she did not dodge, but instead used all her strength to smear her other hand, which was covered in a mixture of poison, into his eyes and nostrils!

"Ahhh—!" Two distinct screams erupted almost simultaneously!

Scarface Tiger Soldier frantically clawed at his throat with both hands, the deadly juices igniting hellfire within him!

His massive body began to convulse violently, his eyeballs bulged out, blood vessels burst, and he spat out black blood mixed with foam from his mouth. The unbearable pain made him roll to the ground, as if his internal organs were being squeezed by an invisible giant hand!

The Bone Dagger Tiger Soldier covered his eyes with both hands and let out a heart-wrenching howl. The intense, burning sensation, as if magma were pouring into his eyes, instantly spread from his eyes to his nasal cavity and head!

"My eyes! Ah—poison! It's poison—!" He flailed his arms wildly, bumped into a tree trunk, and stumbled and fell.

Within moments, the deadly poison revealed its ferocious power, turning two mighty tiger warriors into writhing, dying lumps of flesh on the ground.

Yun Chu didn't even have time to look at her results; the threat of death and the instinct for survival exploded within her at the same time!

She grabbed the fox-girl, who was nearly paralyzed with fear and huddled in a corner with her head in her hands, and pulled her up.

"Run!!!" Yun Chu's voice was hoarse but carried an undeniable power, and her eyes burned with an unprecedented, wild flame.

She didn't even glance back at the two enormous bodies that were rapidly being enveloped by the shadow of death.

escape!

Heading towards the densest and darkest part of the forest!

Yun Chu, pulling the staggering fox girl along, relied on the rabbit-like instincts of agility and a vague memory of the hidden paths in this foraging forest, and like two ghostly figures, instantly disappeared into the impenetrable shadows of vines and giant trees.

Behind him, there were only two muffled thuds that gradually faded, filled with excruciating pain and suffocation, before plunging into a chilling silence.

The dappled sunlight was fragmented by the dense canopy of trees, and underfoot lay a thick layer of decaying leaves and sprawling tree roots, like a soft cushion.

Every jump, every turn, is a race against death.

The wicker basket was long gone, and the brand on her shoulder burned with pain, but she only knew one thing:

Survive! Run away!

A sharp, mournful cry of death ripped through the forest's silence, only to plunge it back into a suffocating stillness in an instant.

Yun Chu didn't even have time to catch her breath before the intense smell of blood and the fear of impending death reminded her like a bucket of ice water—the pursuers would arrive soon, and the Tiger Clan's wrath would burn this area to the ground.

"Run!" Her hoarse voice was like sandpaper scraping against stone, yet it carried an undeniable force.

She clung tightly to the fox girl—whose orange-red fur appeared even more striking in her panic—and practically dragged her into the thicket of thorns deep within the forest.

The fox-girl seemed terrified, her body limp and powerless, only able to sob unconsciously as Yun Chu pulled her along, making her staggering progress. Her fear was so palpable that it almost slowed Yun Chu's pace.

"Take a step if you want to live!" Yun Chu roared, pulling hard. The fox girl stumbled, finally snapping out of her daze, and began to find the strength to escape. In her bloodshot eyes, besides fear, a glimmer of hope for survival finally ignited.

They were like two shadows driven by thunder, moving among the ancient trees that blocked out the sky and among the gnarled vines.

Yun Chu's rabbit instincts were on full display at this moment. With each step, she subconsciously chose rocks covered with thick moss, exposed tree roots, or hard ground, avoiding leaving clear footprints on soft, decaying leaves or mud.

The light was fragmented and broken by the dense foliage, and the forest was cold and damp. The slave brand on her shoulder was like a red-hot iron pressed against her flesh, and every movement of her arm brought excruciating pain.

Waves of dizziness from days of hunger washed over her, making her vision blur. But she bit her lower lip, letting the taste of blood fill her mouth, forcibly dispelling her exhaustion.

Reaching a shallow, slippery stream, Yun Chu abruptly stopped. She was breathing heavily, her heart pounding in her chest. The brief standoff temporarily distanced her from the threat of death.

“We can’t… leave a scent… or a trace…” Yun Chu said with difficulty, looking around with a sharp gaze.

Yun Chu swiftly broke off a branch with thick, broad leaves and quickly swept away their footprints as much as possible, straightening the fallen grass. Then, she forcefully pushed both the fox girl and herself into the icy, bone-chilling stream.

"Go down! The water... leaves no taste..." The water instantly soaked through their thin clothes, and the biting cold made the fox girl gasp, replacing the confusion in her eyes with a bit of clarity.

They waded through the water for a distance with difficulty, the current carrying away some of their sweat and possible odor.

After getting ashore, Yun Chu once again chose a route with hard ground and more exposed tree roots, and kept using branches or readily available dead leaves to wipe away the tiny traces of their passage behind her.

time is life.

Yun Chu's movements were swift with a sense of desperation; each sweep was a race against death.

The fox girl finally realized the seriousness of the situation and began to clumsily imitate Yun Chu, using her muddy hands to smear some fallen leaves on the path.
