 Chapter 2: The End and New Chapter of the Space-Time Rift

With the concerted efforts of Bennett and Mika, the space-time rift that enveloped the city and emitted a strange light finally began to slowly heal. The golden runes were like nimble butterflies, circling around the edge of the rift. Every flash of the runes seemed to be chanting an ancient spell, sorting out the disordered space-time power bit by bit.

Bennett wiped the beads of sweat from his forehead, but a gratified smile was on his face. He looked at Mika beside him, his eyes full of praise: "Mika, I never thought that we actually solved this difficult problem. Thanks to your wonderful ideas, otherwise I would really be at a loss." Mika smiled shyly, still holding the slightly charred magic wand tightly in his hand. It was with it that he guided the elemental power and combined with Bennett's sealing technique that the situation turned around.

But just as the rift was about to close completely, a black shadow suddenly rushed out from the depths of the rift, carrying strong resentment and unwillingness, and rushed straight towards the two. The shadow seemed to be enraged by the attack, and its body suddenly shrank and turned into a ball of black mist, bypassing the shield and moving between the two like a ghost. Bennett felt his hair stand on end, and the rock elemental shield suddenly thrust under his feet, and the ground rose up layers of rock spikes, trying to block the black mist. Seeing this, Mika whistled out the ice spikes and pierced into the black mist accurately. The black mist was cold and condensed into some gray ice slag, but it still stubbornly gathered together.

"This thing is quite difficult to deal with. It seems that we have to use ruthless tactics." Bennett's eyes were burning. He looked at Mika and they understood each other tacitly. Bennett took a deep breath, quickly formed seals with his hands, mobilized the surging rock elemental power in his body, and set off a miniature rock storm with himself as the center. Countless broken stones were wrapped with a thousand pounds of force and swept towards the black fog. Mika poured all his magic power into the magic wand, and a blizzard suddenly fell from the sky. The power of ice was added to each broken stone, making them look like they were wrapped in a layer of hard armor.

The black fog trembled violently under the double blow, whimpering in pain, and it appeared and disappeared, and turned into a hideous face, staring at the two fiercely: "Don't think you can easily calm this chaos, I am the master of time and space!" Bennett sneered: "Stop talking nonsense here, today is your doomsday." After that, he jumped into the center of the storm, controlling the rock element, and slashed at the face of the black fog like a sharp blade. Mika cooperated closely in the back, and continuously sent ice and snow spells forward to freeze the space where the black fog struggled.

With a deafening thud, the black fog exploded like a punctured balloon and dissipated into nothingness, leaving only a few wisps of smoke to prove that it had existed. Bennett almost stumbled when he landed. The dual consumption of physical strength and elemental power made his legs weak. Mika hurried forward to support him. The two smiled at each other, both grateful for surviving the disaster.

After this battle, the cracks in time and space were completely closed, and the sun shone without reservation, illuminating every corner that was once dark due to the cracks. The city gradually regained its vitality, and the laughter of people restarting their lives could be heard in the streets and alleys. Children laughed and played in the square again, and vendors shouted their business again, as if nothing had happened.

Bennett and Mika walked on the street, enjoying the tranquility. Suddenly, Bennett seemed to remember something and took out a strange crystal that he had accidentally picked up during the battle from his pocket. The light and shadow inside the crystal flowed, as if it hid endless mysteries. Mika came over, his eyes full of curiosity: "Is this... running out of that crack?" Bennett nodded and stroked the crystal: "Maybe there are other secrets in it, but the most urgent thing now is to have a good rest. I'm exhausted these days."

Mika responded with a smile: "Yeah, let's study this little thing after we have enough rest. Next, let's go for a big meal and reward ourselves, how about it?" Bennett swallowed, his eyes suddenly brightened: "Good idea! I'm going to give you a good meal today, Mika's treat!" The laughter broke through the afterglow and slowly faded away towards the future. They knew that the adventure had come to an end, but the excitement of life and the unknown was always waiting ahead, just waiting for them to set off again.
