Su Qing nodded, gripping a short sword in her own hand, her eyes scanning the surroundings, alert for any subtle movement. They finally reached the iron gate and forcefully pushed open the rusty door. With a screeching sound, the scene behind the door gradually came into view.

In a spacious hall, a massive mechanical device stood in the center, its gears turning slowly, emitting a low, rhythmic sound. At each of the four corners of the hall, a torch illuminated the surroundings. Before this mechanical device stood a man dressed in black, his gaze cold, as if he had been waiting for their arrival.

"You've finally arrived," he said coldly, a hint of contempt in his voice.

Yu Caiwei frowned and asked warily, "Who exactly are you? Why are you targeting our Duke's Mansion?"

The man in black sneered, "Who I am is not important. What is important is that you will soon witness the true power of this mechanical device."

Su Qing's gaze sharpened as she stepped forward: "Your plan will not succeed! No matter what secrets this thing holds, we will destroy it."

Just then, a series of hurried footsteps sounded outside the door. Several guards rushed into the hall, and the lead guard, panting, said, "Second Miss, Miss Su Qing, we just found a secret letter that mentions... this mechanical device is used to open the entrance to a certain underground palace!"

Yu Caiwei and Su Qing exchanged a glance and immediately understood the importance and danger of this machine.

"Then we must destroy it as soon as possible!" Yu Caiwei said firmly, charging towards the mechanical device with her longsword in hand.

"Just how dangerous is this machine? Could it destroy the entire Duke's mansion?"

"I've heard that a huge secret is hidden here. Maybe it can really unravel all the mysteries!"

The battle inside the hall intensified, with Yu Caiwei and Su Qing working in perfect harmony, steadily closing in on the mechanical device. Although the man in black was highly skilled in martial arts, he gradually found himself on the defensive under the combined attack of the two.
