Keeping the promise

Chapter 96 Begging for mercy

Li Yunting was deeply moved as he listened to her story, but there was still no expression on his face.

Zheng Wancheng became more and more excited as she spoke, and finally burst into tears: "Yun Ting, please, remember me soon, I can't live without you." Her tears rolled down like pearls from a broken string, dripping onto the ground and splashing small flowers.

Her voice was choked with sobs, filled with endless sadness and despair.

Her eyes were full of pleading, as if she was telling him her pain and helplessness.

Seeing her so sad, Li Yunting finally couldn't help laughing: "Wancheng, you are so cute when you are anxious."

His laughter was clear and loud, breaking the silence in the room. There was a hint of teasing and mockery in his eyes, and he seemed to find her performance very interesting.

Zheng Wancheng was stunned at first, then reacted and angrily hit Li Yunting's shoulder: "You are too much, how can you make such a joke, I am almost scared to death by you!"

He stroked her hair gently, held her hand, and said softly: "Silly girl, how could I forget you? Seeing that you care about me so much, I couldn't help but want to tease you."

Zheng Wancheng glared at him in reproach: "Don't do this again in the future. I've been scared these past few days, and you're still teasing me like this."

Li Yunting held her in his arms and said softly, "I know I was wrong, and I won't do it again. Seeing you worry so much about me, I am really happy."

The two hugged each other and cried. At this moment, they cherished each other more and understood that love that has gone through ups and downs will become more indestructible.

Qin Huaiwei, who was under house arrest in the room, seemed to be in a dark abyss. She cried every day, and her former pride and willfulness were gone.

She curled up in the corner of the room, her eyes empty and lifeless, and the terrible car accident kept replaying in her mind.

She regretted her impulsiveness and stupidity, regretted being blinded by jealousy and making irreparable mistakes. "Why did I do that? Why did I ruin everything?" She murmured to herself, her voice full of self-blame and regret.

She thought of her brother's love and expectations for her, but now it was her fault that put her brother in such a difficult situation.

"I'm sorry to my brother and to everyone." Tears welled up in her eyes again, soaking her cheeks.

She began to reflect on her past actions and realized her selfishness and narrow-mindedness. She once thought that love was possession, but she never thought that such an approach would only bring destruction.

"If I could do it again, I would never do this." She pulled her hair in pain, her heart filled with endless regret.

In this small room, Qin Huaiwei seemed to have experienced a spiritual baptism.

She longed to be forgiven and had a chance to start over, but she also knew that it all depended on whether Li Yunting could wake up and whether Zheng Wancheng could let go of his hatred.

Qin Huaifeng sat in the monitoring room, his eyes fixed on the screen, watching his sister Qin Huaiwei's current appearance, feeling a pang of pain in his heart.

Qin Huaiwei looked haggard, her eyes had lost their former luster, and she seemed as if her soul had been taken away.

At this moment, he learned that Li Yunting had woken up. Qin Huaifeng did not hesitate at all, immediately bought something and rushed to the hospital.

Arriving outside Li Yunting's ward, Qin Huaifeng took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. He knocked on the door gently and walked in after getting a response.

Li Yunting leaned on the hospital bed. Although his face was still a little pale, his eyes had regained their former sharpness.

"Yun Ting, you finally woke up. How do you feel?" Qin Huaifeng asked with concern, putting the things in his hand aside.

Li Yunting nodded slightly, "Much better, why are you here?"

Qin Huaifeng showed a trace of embarrassment on his face. After hesitating for a moment, he mustered up the courage to speak: "Yun Ting, I came here this time to ask you for a favor. For the sake of our brotherhood, please let Qin Huaiwei go."

Li Yunting's face darkened instantly. "Qin Huaifeng, you should know what she did. She almost harmed Wan Cheng. I can't let her go easily."

Qin Huaifeng lowered his head, his voice pleading: "I know she made a big mistake, but she is my sister after all. My parents died young, and I watched her grow up. I really can't bear to see her ruined like this. Yun Ting, I promise you that I will discipline her well in the future and will not let her do such a thing again."

Li Yunting remained silent, with a hint of struggle in his eyes.

Qin Huaifeng continued, "Yun Ting, we have been brothers for so many years, and I have never asked you for anything. This time, I beg you to give her a chance to reform."

Li Yunting sighed, "Qin Huaifeng, it's not that I don't miss our brotherhood, but this matter is too serious. If I let her go easily, how can I explain to Wan Cheng?"

Qin Huaifeng said anxiously: "I will personally take Qin Huaiwei to apologize to Zheng Wancheng and ask for her forgiveness. Yun Ting, as long as you can show mercy, I can do anything."
