Keeping the promise

Everyone waited until she was pushed into the ward before leaving with peace of mind, because the ward could not accommodate too many people. In the end, only Li Yunting was left in the ward, and even Ma Shilan was sent back for being frightened.

He knew that she needed time to recover slowly, so he pressed the bell at the bedside to call the doctor to come and check. When the doctor checked and found that everything was normal, Ma Kaizhao finally put down his worry.

"You have a good rest, I'll go buy you something to eat." He stood up, straightened his clothes and went out.

Zheng Wancheng looked at his back in a daze. It seemed that this man who suddenly broke into her life had left a trace in her heart without her knowing.

Ma Shilan had been standing silently by the side with a guilty look on her face since she entered the room. Zheng Wancheng saw her like this and knew that she must still be blaming herself, so he started to comfort her: "Ma Shilan, did you have a good rest today? You must have been scared yesterday!"

When Ma Shilan heard Zheng Wancheng's comfort, tears welled up in her eyes. She lowered her head and said a little embarrassedly: "It's all my fault. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been hurt."

Zheng Wancheng felt distressed when she saw her like this. She raised her hand and gently patted Ma Shilan's shoulder, "Don't cry, I don't blame you. If you want to blame someone, blame human nature. When a few people were chatting happily, Li Yunting pushed the door open and came in, carrying porridge and milk with Yilanxuan in his hand.
