Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 241 Horace's Dinner Party

Outside Hogwarts Castle, the winter wind carried snowflakes, whistling against the warm glass windows of the Three Broomsticks Inn.

Inside the bar, the crackling sound of the burning wood in the fireplace made a soothing sound, dispelling the discomfort brought by the severe cold outside.

The air was filled with the sweet aroma of butterbeer, mixed with the enticing smell of barbecue and fish and chips.

Harry stirred the bubbling butterbeer in front of him boredly, his eyes aimlessly scanning the noisy crowd in the bar.

Professor Slughorn was busy reminiscing with a group of former students, talking about his glorious past.

Suddenly, a furtive figure caught Harry's attention.

It was Draco, his platinum hair standing out in the dim bar.

Draco looked around warily, then slipped through an inconspicuous side door.

Harry had never seen that door before, and had no idea where it led to, but Malfoy's furtive behavior made him instinctively feel a little uneasy.

Just as Harry was about to get up and go over to take a look, Professor Slughorn's loud voice interrupted him.

"Harry, my child! Hermione is here too! Come over here and sit with us!"

Hermione was holding a thick book in her hand. When she saw Harry, she smiled slightly and walked over.

Professor Slughorn greeted them warmly and seated them, and ordered more butterbeer and some snacks.

He talked incessantly about the outstanding students he had taught, some of whom are now well-known figures in the wizarding world.

Harry and Hermione listened attentively, but their minds were already elsewhere.

Harry was still thinking about the door that Malfoy had sneaked through, while Hermione seemed more interested in the gossip that Professor Slughorn was talking about.

It was completely dark when they left the Three Broomsticks.

The heavy snow was still falling, turning Hogsmeade village into a fairy tale world covered in silver.

However, this beautiful scene was soon broken by a sudden commotion.

A Ravenclaw girl twisted her body wildly in the snow, like a puppet controlled by invisible ropes.

She was thrown into the air suddenly, and then fell heavily to the ground, groaning in pain.

"What's going on?" Hermione exclaimed and ran over.

Harry followed closely behind, and at a glance he saw a sparkling necklace that the girl was holding tightly in her hand.

The necklace looked ordinary, but it emitted a strange magical fluctuation.

"Don't touch her!" Harry shouted. "There's something wrong with that necklace!"

However, it's too late.

The girl's body suddenly began to tremble violently, and then like a kite with a broken string, she flew straight into the sky. After drawing a sharp arc in the air, she fell heavily to the snow and lost consciousness.

After returning to Hogwarts Castle, they immediately sent the girl to the school hospital.

Madam Pomfrey treated the girl with various potions and spells, but with little effect.

A Hufflepuff student who witnessed the whole incident told Harry that the girl picked up the strange necklace in the bathroom of the Three Broomsticks. Before she left, she said that the necklace was very important and she must hand it over to Professor Dumbledore in person.

"Malfoy!" Harry slammed the table and said through gritted teeth, "It must be Malfoy! He sneaked in through that door, it must be related to this necklace!"

"Potter, you are talking nonsense here again!" Professor Snape's tone was icy cold. "Don't accuse others without evidence! You have too much imagination!"

Harry was shaking with anger, but he couldn't argue.

He really had no evidence, everything was just his guess.

However, the uneasiness in his heart became stronger and stronger. He had a feeling that this was just the beginning...

The night at Hogwarts Castle always carries a mysterious color, and the moonlight shines through the towering Gothic windows, casting mottled light and shadows on the floor.

Tonight, Professor Slughorn's dinner was held in an empty classroom. The air was filled with the aroma of roast meat and pumpkin juice, mixed with the excited whispers of students.

Harry followed Salina and Hermione into the classroom. The noise instantly flooded into his eardrums, making him feel slightly dizzy.

He glanced absentmindedly around the room, searching for an empty seat.

The fire in the fireplace crackled, reflecting the excitement on the students' faces.

After a few people sat down, they naturally began to look at the people around them.

Salina approached Cedric, and after they looked at each other, they couldn't help but smile, and then they started talking in a low voice.

Harry's gaze suddenly froze when he saw Ginny.

As she grew older, Ginny became more and more beautiful.

She was wearing a simple sapphire blue dress today. Her red hair shone in the light, setting off her fair skin, making her look stunningly beautiful.

Harry felt his breath hitch and his heart seemed to skip a beat.

He stood there in a daze, oblivious to everything around him, with only Ginny's figure in his eyes.

Soon, Ginny seemed to notice Harry's gaze and turned to look over.

The moment their eyes met, Harry lowered his head in panic, pretending that the teacup in front of him was very attractive to him.

Hermione felt as at a loss as Harry at this moment, but she wanted to leave as soon as possible because she didn't like the person in front of her.

Sitting opposite her was Ron's rival on the Quidditch team, the guy she had tricked.

This self-proclaimed suave fellow was flirting at Hermione unscrupulously, and occasionally tossed his greasy hair in an attempt to show his "charm".

Salina noticed that Hermione's face was becoming increasingly ugly. She sat stiffly, trying to look away, her shoulders tense like a frightened kitten.

She tried to interrupt the boy's "offensive" several times, but was blocked by his endless self-boasting.

"Hermione, do you know? Last time I was training, I caught three Golden Snitches in one go! Even Wood praised me highly..." His voice was full of narcissism, and Hermione wanted to roll her eyes.

Hermione finally couldn't stand it anymore. She stood up suddenly and interrupted him: "Excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom."

After saying that, she fled from her seat.

Cedric silently commented: "It seems that guy seems a little too confident."

Salina covered her mouth with a smile, "Isn't this considered narcissism?"

Cedric tilted his head and looked at Salina, "Don't be so hurtful, but I agree with your point of view."
