Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 218 The Twins' Conflict

They climbed the stairs, with Serena walking in front, while Fred and George deliberately lagged behind a few steps, whispering about something.

When they reached the corner of the stairs, George suddenly took a few quick steps, surpassed Salina, then turned around and leaned on the railing, and asked with a smile: "Salina, what did you do during the summer vacation? I heard from my brother that you went to Egypt?"

Salina stopped and turned to look at George, then looked at Fred who was still standing at the bottom of the stairs but eavesdropping with his ears perked up. She smiled and shook her head: "You two are really well-informed."

Fred walked up quickly, put his arm around George's shoulder, leaned against the wall, and winked at Salina, "I heard he went with Cedric Diggory... You guys wouldn't..."

"Stop!" Salina quickly made a pause gesture, looking at the two guys in front of her who were eager to cause chaos, "I didn't expect you two to be so gossipy."

George curled his lips in dissatisfaction: "This is called being well-informed, well-informed, understand?"

Fred continued: "I don't understand what's so good about that guy. Although he is indeed at the top of some rankings...well, he is number one, but I still think he is average..."

Salina stopped laughing, she reached out to tidy up her hair that was messed up by the wind, and her expression became serious.

"Okay, let's talk about small talk later and talk about business now." She said, her eyes swept over Fred and George with a hint of inquiry.

"Want to test the returns on your investment?" George raised his eyebrows, with a hint of pride in his tone, and he was obviously confident in their results.

"Of course the business is super good, and your investment is worth it!" Fred couldn't wait to respond, and made an exaggerated huge gesture, as if he could see countless gold Galleons flying towards them.

Salina nodded, an appreciative smile on her lips.

"I have always believed in the creativity of my two brothers," she paused, her tone becoming serious, "but this time, I want inventions other than those joke products."

"You mean..." George hesitated and asked tentatively, "Do you want a lethal weapon?"

"Then it can't be considered a funny toy." Fred also put away his joking expression, frowned slightly, and seemed to realize the seriousness of the problem.

Salina took a deep breath, looked at them firmly, and said word by word: "But what if I want it? Brothers, can you help me?"

Fred and George looked at each other, and their playful expressions disappeared, replaced by a rare solemnity. They fell into silence, as if they were weighing something.

"There is still time, brothers, you can think about it slowly," Sharina smiled slightly, her tone was relaxed, but the seriousness in her eyes could not be ignored, "Even if you decide to reject me in the end, I will not withdraw my investment."

After she finished speaking, she patted George's shoulder gently, turned around and continued up the stairs.

Salina walked lightly as she climbed the stairs one step at a time. Her skirt swayed gently with her movements, as if a breeze was blowing by.

George and Fred watched Serena's back until she disappeared around the corner of the stairs, and then their eyes fell back on each other.

Fred frowned, nudged George with his elbow, and asked in a low voice, "George, what do you think?"

George did not answer immediately. He stroked his chin and fell into deep thought. After a while, he slowly spoke: "I still need to think about it... This sister's purpose is not simple..."

"But if we choose to refuse," Fred frowned, with a hint of worry in his tone, "there may be no chance to go further."

"Perhaps I will gradually be alienated..." George took over Fred's words, with a hint of helplessness in his tone.

Fred was silent for a moment, then whispered, "...But weapons...they don't bring laughter..."

“You’re right, that goes against the original intention of opening this joke shop…” George nodded in agreement, with a hint of firmness in his tone.

"Then how should I choose?" Fred scratched his hair in distress, not knowing what to do.

George patted Fred on the shoulder and said in a more relaxed tone: "She's right. There's still time. We can think about it slowly..."

……

At a table near the fireplace, Harry, Ron and Hermione sat together, their faces full of worry and anxiety.

"Percy has completely fallen out with his family," Ron lowered his voice, with a hint of uneasiness and helplessness in his tone, "He has completely sided with Fudge, and now he won't listen to anyone in his family."

"How could this happen?" Hermione frowned slightly, her tone full of confusion and worry, "Percy has always been very rational, how could Minister Fudge ..."

"Fudge is like a frightened bird now, suspicious all the time," Harry interrupted with a hint of dissatisfaction in his tone, "He doesn't believe that Voldemort has returned at all, and he thinks Professor Dumbledore and I are crazy."

"Percy is now the Chief Secretary to the Minister of Magic. He must know something," Ron said with a hint of worry and speculation in his tone, "but he refuses to say anything now. He just keeps defending Minister Fudge."

"Maybe he has some difficulties?" Hermione said softly, trying to defend Percy, "He has always cared about his family, maybe it's just..."

"No, Hermione, you're wrong," Ron interrupted Hermione, his tone carrying a hint of bitterness and disappointment, "Percy has been completely blinded by power and ambition. He only cares about his own career and doesn't care about us, his family, at all."

Ron's words left Harry and Hermione silent. They didn't know what to say to comfort Ron.

Percy's breakup with his family was undoubtedly a huge rock weighing on their hearts, making them feel heavy and helpless.

Salina thought for a moment and thought that maybe it was time for her to go meet Percy.

At dinner time, Mrs. Weasley prepared a sumptuous meal, including roast chicken, mashed potatoes, pea soup, and fragrant pies, allowing everyone to temporarily forget their worries and enjoy the warmth of home.

During the dinner, members of the Order of the Phoenix expressed their support for Harry. Lupin patted Harry's shoulder gently and said that even if Dumbledore was excluded, they would do their best to protect Harry's safety.

Moody stared at Harry with his one normal eye and said firmly, "Don't worry, kid, we won't let Fudge and his idiots succeed."

After the dinner, everyone felt much more relaxed.

Salina looked at the time and stood up to say goodbye.

She walked over to Harry, hugged him gently, and said softly, "Rest early, Harry, everything will be fine."
