The Tao is far away

Wang Chi walked towards the figure. The sound of his footsteps in the snow was crisp and lonely, breaking the silence of the night.

Wang Buyan seemed to have noticed the movement ahead. She turned around with a look of vigilance and curiosity in her eyes.

"It's so late, why haven't you rested yet?"

When Wang Buyan saw that it was Wang Chi, her expression eased a little, but she still kept a certain distance. She replied softly, "Something is on my mind, and I can't sleep well."

Wang Chi took a few steps closer and the distance between them gradually shortened.

He noticed the alienation in Wang Buyan's eyes, and knew in his heart that this nominal sister still had reservations towards him.

The woman approached Wang Chi and said, "You are not my brother, right!"

Wang Chi looked up at the sky. Snowflakes were falling like pear blossoms. This cold night had an indescribable tranquility and beauty.

Wang Chi took a deep breath, feeling the cool air filling his lungs, and then slowly walked towards the room he had been in during the day.

Wang Buyan, who was in her room, was reading the letter her father left behind word by word with tears in her eyes.

"Father, you and I have never met, yet you are handing me over to this person?"

Wang Chi entered the guest room he had stayed in during the day, and Xue Lian was still holding Zi Yue.

Wang Chi gently picked up Zi Yue and motioned Xue Lian to go and rest.

As daybreak approached, Wang Chi returned to his quaint little building.

The two maids, Xiaotan and Xiaohuan, had gotten up early, obviously waiting for his return.

Not long after, Xiao Tan came in carefully holding a piece of luxurious and exquisite clothing. She reported to Wang Chi softly: "Sir, this is what the master specially asked us to prepare."

Wang Chi nodded slightly and signaled with his eyes that Xiao Tan could leave the room.

Xiao Tan showed a hint of surprise, and she asked, "Sir, don't you need Xiao Tan to change your clothes for you?"

Wang Chi turned around and replied in surprise: "Do I need your help to put on my clothes?"

Xiao Tan was about to say something when Xiao Huan came in with a basin of hot water. She reminded him, "Sir, it's time to wash up!"

Wang Chi then suddenly remembered that he hadn't had a good bath for a long time. The last time he took a bath seemed to be three months ago.

So Wang Chi said to the two maids, "Well, please find me a big basin, the kind that I can use to take a bath."

"Sir, please don't say that." Xiao Tan and Xiao Huan answered in unison, they lowered their heads, their voices full of humility and respect.

"Let's make arrangements now!"

After a while, Xiao Tan and Xiao Huan came in with two strong servants. They carried a large basin together. The hot water in the basin was steaming, and the air was filled with warmth and comfort.

After putting down the large basin, the two servants retreated respectfully and the room returned to peace.

"You guys go out too." Wang Chi's voice revealed a hint of embarrassment. He was not used to exposing his body in front of two maids. It was too embarrassing.

"Young Master..." Xiao Tan seemed to want to say something, but was interrupted by Wang Chi's firm tone.

"go out!"

Xiao Tan and Xiao Huan had no choice but to obediently leave the room, close the door, and leave Wang Chi alone.

After taking a shower, Wang Chi felt relaxed all over. He put on the gorgeous clothes, but the satin texture made him feel a little uncomfortable. It stuck to his body and felt like a slug.

He looked up and happened to find Wang Buyan standing in front of the window. Her beautiful eyes were staring at him quietly, expressionless, as if she was thinking deeply about something in her heart.

Wang Chi waved towards Wang Buyan in a friendly manner, and the window closed with a "click", leaving Wang Chi alone in the snow.

Wang Chi's heart moved, and he suddenly remembered that he still had something to give to Wang Buyan. When he handed over the letter yesterday, Wang Buyan did not give him a chance and turned away.

So Wang Chi walked towards Wang Buyan's residence.

As you walk into the small building, you can smell a unique scent of a girl floating in the air. This scent is subtle and elegant, making people feel relaxed and happy.

Wang Chi looked around the interior layout; everything seemed exquisite and elegant.

Due to the differences between men and women, Wang Chi did not enter Wang Buyan's inner room directly, but stood still and asked the maid to go in and report on his behalf.

The maid responded and left, leaving Wang Chi waiting in the room.

"You all go down first." Wang Buyan came out and dismissed the maids.

"If you have anything to say, just say it!" Wang Buyan said softly.
