Pokémon Heart Journey

Chapter 315: A Showdown of Hearts

The hustle and bustle of the celebration gradually settled into a warm aftertaste. Inside the magnificent ballroom, people continued to chat and laugh, but Ash felt an unprecedented sense of peace and fulfillment. The championship medal on his chest weighed heavy, reminding him of the dream he had just achieved, but Pikachu's gentle cry on his shoulder drew his gaze back to the distant future.

"Pikachu, let's go out for a walk too?" Xiaozhi said softly to his friend.

"Pika!" Pikachu nodded happily. It also enjoyed the tranquility after the noise.

The man and his pet quietly left the banquet hall and strolled in the night on the quartz plateau.

A cool night breeze brushed across my face, carrying the fragrance of grass and earth, dispelling the lingering heat of the banquet. The night sky was clear, dotted with stars, and the bright moonlight cast a soft silver veil over the distant mountains and nearby trees.

They walked slowly along a secluded path, enjoying the rare tranquility. The scenes of the day's fierce battle still echoed in their minds, and the resonance of the bond with their companions still surged in their hearts.

Just then, Xiaozhi noticed a figure not far ahead, leaning against a railing, gazing at the nightscape in the distance. It was a young girl in a neat short skirt and long boots, her short, light purple hair fluttering gently in the night breeze. She seemed a little lonely, yet exuded a quiet and mysterious aura.

Xiaozhi felt that it looked familiar, and when he walked closer, he suddenly remembered.

"Ah! Are you... Miss Lila?" Xiaozhi asked tentatively. He remembered that he had met her once before in a certain town, and this girl had left a deep impression on him.

The girl turned around at the sound, revealing a pretty and calm face. Her eyes were clear, yet seemed to see through people's hearts. She saw Xiaozhi and nodded slightly, a faint, almost imperceptible smile on her face.

"Good evening, Xiaozhi. Or should I call you the new champion?" Her voice was calm, without much emotion, but her congratulations were sincere.

"Ms. Lila, it's really you!" Xiaozhi was a little surprised, "Thank you! I'm just... lucky." He touched the back of his head embarrassedly.

"No need to be modest." Lila shook her head slightly, her eyes sweeping over the medal on his chest and Pikachu on his shoulder. "You and your Pokémon possess immense power. Today's finals were exciting."

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu also waved his little paws at Lila in a friendly manner.

"Thank you." Xiaozhi smiled happily, "Is Miss Lila also here to watch the game?"

"Yeah." Lila nodded, her gaze once again cast into the distance, "I felt a lot... the fiery emotions and wills between different trainers and Pokémon."

She paused, then looked back at Xiaozhi, her eyes gleaming with inquiry. "Especially you, Xiaozhi. Your fighting style is full of incredible possibilities."

The two chatted casually for a while, the topic revolving around the day's game and some travel experiences. Lila didn't say much, but she always hit the point, making Xiaozhi feel comfortable chatting with her.

Suddenly, Lila was silent for a moment, and then, as if she had made up her mind, she looked at Xiaozhi with burning eyes, her tone still calm, but with a hint of unquestionable fighting spirit: "Xiaozhi."

"Ok?"

"Let's have a battle."

"Eh? Now?" Xiaozhi was stunned. He didn't expect her to suddenly make this request.

"Ah."

Lila nodded affirmatively. "One on one. I want to feel your power for myself."

Her eyes sparkled with a desire for actual combat, a pure resonance between trainers.

Xiaozhi hesitated for only a second, and the surprise in his eyes was quickly replaced by burning fighting spirit.

The fatigue from the battle that had just ended seemed to be swept away. He would never refuse the challenge from any trainer, especially an opponent like Lila who made him feel unfathomable!

"Okay! I promise! Right, Pikachu?"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu jumped off Satoshi's shoulder, his cheeks flashing with light, and he was also full of fighting spirit!

The two found an open patch of grass under the moonlight and stood facing each other. There were no referees, no spectators, only the starry sky and the gentle breeze as witnesses.

"Let it fight." Lila calmly tossed the Poké Ball. A flash of light appeared, and a yellow Pokémon appeared, holding two spoons—Alakazam!

It was suspended in mid-air, its eyes wise and calm, and its body emanated powerful supernatural fluctuations. Like its trainer, Lila, it gave people a bottomless feeling.

"Alakazam... Pikachu, it's time to attack!"

"Pickup!"

The battle begins!

However, to Xiaozhi's surprise, Lila did not issue any voice commands. She just stood there quietly, looking at Alakazam intently.

But Alakazam seemed to have understood what he was trying to do. His eyes instantly glowed blue! His powerful telekinesis was like an invisible hand, suddenly grabbing Pikachu!

"Pikachu, dodge with lightning!" Xiaozhi ordered immediately.

Pikachu transformed into a flash of lightning, narrowly avoiding the telekinetic grasp. However, as soon as it landed, Alakazam disappeared in an instant, and the next moment, it appeared directly beside it - instant teleportation!

At the same time, the spoon in its hand has bent, and a strange ray of light shoots towards Pikachu - an illusion ray!

All of this happened incredibly fast, and without warning! Lila remained silent throughout, yet Alakazam's attacks flowed like flowing water, their precise and consistent movements seemingly predicting the future!

"So fast! And..." Xiaozhi was extremely shocked. This kind of silent tacit understanding was simply unheard of!

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"

Pikachu's tail shone with metallic luster and swept towards Alakazam who was nearby.

But just before Iron Tail was about to strike, Alakazam vanished once more, effortlessly reappearing in another direction. Its attack returned, this time with a powerful telekinesis! A massive wave of telekinesis surged towards Pikachu!

Satoshi's instructions are always half a beat late, he needs to make judgments and speak, but Lila and Alakazam seem to be in tune with each other, without words, the transition between attack and defense is smooth and seamless, as if they share the same brain!

Pikachu was running around, and although he managed to dodge fatal attacks time and time again with his speed and perseverance, he was completely drawn into the opponent's rhythm, as if he was caught in an invisible spiritual web, becoming increasingly passive.

"How could it be... I was completely seen through!" Sweat beads appeared on Xiaozhi's forehead. This fighting style brought him unprecedented pressure.

He felt like he wasn't fighting a single Pokémon, but a fused will.

"Pikachu, 100,000 volts!" Xiaozhi decided to use force to defeat cleverness!

A powerful electric current burst out, covering Alakazam.

However, Alakazam simply crossed his two spoons in front of him, and a solid reflective wall was instantly formed, easily blocking the 100,000 volts.

At the same time, its eyes lit up again, and a more obscure mental force bypassed the reflective wall and acted directly on Pikachu - this was not an attack, but... hypnosis!

Pikachu, who had been extremely nervous and dodging constantly, suddenly stopped moving and his eyelids began to twitch due to this unexpected mental interference.

"Oh no! Pikachu, wake up!" Xiaozhi exclaimed.

But this moment of stiffness was enough. Lila's gaze narrowed slightly. Hu Di understood, and the ultimate spiritual power began to gather - Dream Eater!

The invisible mental shock accurately hit the dazed Pikachu!

"Pika!!" Pikachu let out a cry of pain, his body swayed, and finally fell to the ground weakly, losing consciousness.

The battle was over. Silence fell upon the meadow once again.

Ash stared blankly at the fallen Pikachu, then looked across at the still calm Lila and the slowly falling Alakazam. The air still seemed to linger with the subtle vibrations of psychic power.

He lost.

He was defeated with almost no chance to fight back, not because of a lack of strength, but because of a higher level of "understanding" and "command" that he had never experienced before.

He walked quickly forward and hugged Pikachu with heartache: "Thank you for your hard work, Pikachu, you have done a great job." He took out the medicine and gave Pikachu a simple treatment, then raised his head and looked at Lila who was walking over, his eyes full of shock and curiosity.

"Ms. Lila, you just... didn't give any orders at all? How could Alakazam be so accurate..."

Lila gently caressed Hu Di who returned to her side, and her eyes softened a little: "Hu Di and I don't need words. Our hearts are connected."
