The princess arrives and the prosperous Tang Dynasty begins

Deep inside the palace, a decision concerning the fate of the country is quietly unfolding. The emperor frowns and paces back and forth in the magnificent palace, his eyes revealing determination and worry. The truth discovered by the princess is like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, stirring up thousands of waves, and making the entire royal family and even the entire country fall into anxiety and doubt.

After careful consideration, the emperor finally made up his mind. He waved his hand and announced in a sonorous and powerful voice: "I will set up a special investigation team to get to the bottom of this matter!" The order shocked the whole court. Soon, an investigation team composed of experienced officials and scholars was quickly assembled.

The members of the investigation team came from all corners of the country. Some of them were veteran officials who had worked in the officialdom for many years and were well versed in the ways of the officialdom; some were scholars with profound academic attainments and unique insights into various difficult issues. Carrying the emperor's trust and the people's expectations, these people resolutely embarked on the journey of investigating the truth.

The leading official was named Li Shangshu, who was over fifty years old, had a serious face, and his eyes revealed wisdom and decisiveness. Under his leadership, the investigation team first came to the place where the princess mentioned the incident happened - a small town in the south. This town was originally quiet and peaceful, but now it was filled with a tense atmosphere.

The members of the investigation team worked tirelessly, visiting every household and patiently questioning the local residents. With pen and paper in hand, they carefully recorded every detail. Some residents were afraid and dared not speak easily; others were filled with righteous indignation and poured out everything they knew. Minister Li knew the concerns of the people very well. He always comforted them in a gentle voice and promised to do them justice.

During the investigation, they found many shocking clues: some local officials colluded with wealthy businessmen, took bribes and oppressed the people; some farmland was barren due to unreasonable taxes and heavy labor, and the people were hungry; and some lawless elements took advantage of the chaos to commit crimes and disrupt social order.

The princess also actively participated in it. She disregarded her own safety and went deep into the people. Her beautiful face no longer had the tenderness of the past, but was replaced by firmness and persistence. She comforted those who were suffering with gentle words and listened to their voices.

"Your Highness, you are our hope!" An old woman held the princess' hand and said with tears in her eyes.

The princess patted the old woman's hand gently and said, "Don't worry, ma'am. I will make the truth known and give everyone justice!"

However, the investigation was not smooth sailing. The forces hidden in the dark noticed the investigation team's actions and began to obstruct them in every possible way. They visited everywhere during the day to collect evidence, and gathered together at night to analyze the clues obtained. During the investigation, they encountered many technical difficulties. For example, some accounts were tampered beyond recognition, requiring professional financial knowledge to uncover the tricks; the authenticity of some documents was difficult to distinguish, requiring scholars to use their rich historical knowledge and identification skills to judge. However, the members of the investigation team gave full play to their respective expertise, cooperated with each other, and overcame one difficulty after another.

After months of hard investigation, the investigation team finally obtained a large amount of evidence. These evidences were like sharp swords, pointing to the black hands hidden behind the scenes. However, just as they were about to present the evidence to the emperor, another crisis quietly arrived.

Someone sneaked into the investigation team's residence and tried to destroy the evidence. Fortunately, the officer in charge of guarding discovered it in time and had a fierce fight with the intruder. In the end, the evidence was preserved, but the officer was unfortunately seriously injured.

When the investigation team returned to the capital with complete evidence, the whole city was in an uproar. People poured into the streets to welcome their return. The emperor personally met with the members of the investigation team in the palace and expressed high praise and gratitude for their hard work.

"Minister Li, you have worked hard!" said the emperor.

Minister Li knelt down and saluted, saying, "Your Majesty, this is our duty."

Afterwards, Li Shangshu reported the results of the investigation in detail to the emperor. The emperor was furious and immediately ordered severe punishment for those officials and profiteers who violated the law and discipline. A vigorous rectification campaign was launched across the country. Justice was finally served, and the country gradually restored its former prosperity and peace.
