Chapter 34 What is so special about justice?

Dean Philip felt that he had some bad luck this year. The team competitions in previous years were all held well, but something went wrong this time. Not only were the audiences making a lot of noise, but even the teachers in the college were worried about him. It was as if they were afraid that others would not know which force had sent him as a spy.

He discussed with the judges every day until his head was almost twice as big. But just when he prayed that things would not go in the worst direction, the thing he least wanted to see still happened. When Helia kicked open the door and rushed into the meeting room without paying attention to the guards outside, he knew that he would not be able to sleep well tonight.

"Hello, teachers. Sorry to bother you. I just can't wait for the result. I'm anxious, so I came to bother you." Helia didn't treat herself as an outsider at all. Under everyone's confused or surprised gaze, she walked to an empty seat, dragged a chair and sat down, crossed her legs and supported her head. Seeing that no one was talking, she raised her chin and said, "Go on. Where were you just talking about? Keep going."

"Beilei, this is not the place for you to throw a tantrum. The teachers know that you are worried about your teammates and your grades, but please trust us. We will give you a fair result." The bespectacled teacher sitting opposite Helia said sternly.

"There are witnesses and evidence, it's a done deal, what is there to discuss? Could you please tell me what difficulties you encountered in handling this matter? I don't mind helping." Helia leaned back, crossed her arms in front of her chest, and spread out one hand as if she was puzzled, but her expression hid the obvious impatience.

"Regarding the killing magic, there is no clear evidence that Tarven used it. Perhaps it was just an ordinary attack magic, but because your teammates failed to defend themselves, they were seriously injured." Another teacher said.

"Failed to defend? My teammates and the audience present can testify that when Karzer went to chase the designated object, he was still wearing Britney's double protection magic. What kind of attack magic could break through the double protection magic and seriously injure Karzer?" Helia replied sternly.

"What's the use of a novice magician's double protection magic? It can be broken by a slightly more powerful attack magic. You know the level of other students, so why are you being so aggressive here?" the teacher said impatiently.

Before Helia could speak, Mobicius and Levita, who were sitting not far away, laughed at the same time in tacit understanding, which seemed out of place in this serious occasion.

Seeing everyone looking at her, Levita couldn't help laughing twice, and then whispered: "Britney Britney, don't you think this name sounds familiar? A novice magician, she will make a scene when she hears it."

"Levita, what are you mumbling about? What were you laughing about just now? This is a serious occasion. We are talking about something very important. If you don't want to participate, get out." Keshit usually doesn't get along with Levita. He spoke in a harsh tone and didn't even care that Helia, an outsider, was there.

"Oh, you're so upset because the magic props I made filmed your young master committing a crime. You're even more angry with me than Belle! "Levita is not the kind of soft persimmon that can be bullied by others. You dare to scold me? If this is not the time for a fight, I would have thrown a magic bullet at your head!

"I told you it's not a killing magic! Talven also said it's just a stronger attack magic!" Keshit said angrily.

"You believe whatever he says. You've been busy being a lackey all these years and forgot to treat your brain, right? Is it possible that your boss can't afford to pay for your brain treatment?" Levita nodded his head and sneered.

"Levita!!!" Keshit slammed the table angrily and wanted to rush over, but was stopped by the teachers beside him who grabbed his arms.

"Karlze has woken up. He explained it very clearly. At that time, a magic bullet flew from behind him and hit the two layers of protective magic on his body before exploding. He was then thrown out. He did not suffer any other magical attacks during that time." Helia recounted Karlze's situation in a clear and logical manner. "In other words, the reason why he was so badly injured was all due to that magic."

"I'm sure that any teacher who has been following our team's first match knows Britney's level of protective magic. So, being able to break through her two layers of protective magic and seriously injure Karlzer, this kind of offensive magic definitely violates the rules of the game."

Even though Helia had explained it very clearly, the teacher was still making excuses: "How do you prove what you said about Britney's level? Even if she is really good, how can you prove that the protection magic she gave out at that time was not low-level magic?"

"Then how do you prove that the murderer didn't use murder magic? Before asking us to prove ourselves, on what basis do you determine that he is innocent based on just a few words from the murderer?" Helia said coldly.

"Don't use the word 'murderer' lightly. The matter hasn't been investigated thoroughly yet, so you can't jump to conclusions." Keshit didn't answer, but instead found fault with Helia's words.

"I think he is a murderer, so he is a murderer, just like you, teacher, think he is not a murderer. You just take care of yourself, why do you want to control me?" Helia's hidden bad temper surfaced as her patience was worn out again and again. Mobichues almost immediately noticed the hostility in her words. If he continued to provoke her, she would not just take action, right?

Dean Phillips also realized that Helia was emotionally unstable and was like a firecracker that could explode at any time. In order to prevent unnecessary problems from arising, it would be better not to provoke her.

"Okay, stop arguing. Since magic has been used, there must be traces. Levita, just go to the scene to investigate for traces." He interrupted the quarrel between Helia and the teacher and ordered.

"I went to the scene to check right after the injured student was sent away. It was a fatal magic that could kill with one strike. Are you blind and didn't see the report I submitted? If not, why are you still arguing here?" Levita replied impatiently.

"Levita! Do you know the consequences of punishing Tarven? You've lived to this age, but you still don't know how to weigh the pros and cons?" Seeing that his excuses failed, Keshit threatened him. Unfortunately, he was facing only tough guys.

"So, for the sake of this so-called benefit, the academy will disregard justice?" Helia asked.

"You have nothing to do here, Belei, get out." Keshit seemed to have just remembered that there was a stranger here. To Helia, his words were quite polite and he didn't ask her to get out.

"Hey! I won't leave, what can you do to me?" Helia said shamelessly, "I can hear you guys talking about giving up fairness for the sake of profit while I'm still here. When I leave, won't it be even more lawless?"

"This is a meeting room. You are not qualified to sit here and discuss matters. Get out." Keshit said in a bad tone and with sinister eyes. If Helia continued to be ungrateful, he would not mind using violence.

"She is my student, and also the captain of the injured children this time. Why can't she sit here and listen?" Mobichues couldn't stand anyone bullying Helia. She was his student, and he was the one to teach her a lesson. Who the hell was Keshit, why was he complaining here?

"If she can sit here, then so can Talven, their teammates, and their parents. If everyone is talking at the same time, is it still necessary to hold this meeting?" Keshit said.

Helia said indifferently: "I never said not to let others come. Since you insist, why not call the murderer and we can confront him face to face."

"I've already said it's not..." Keshit was about to shout again, but Dean Philip couldn't stand it anymore and slammed his hand on the table, interrupting him.

"This is a meeting room, not a place for you to make noise." Philip looked around, and the invisible pressure he emanated made everyone quiet down.

"It is indeed against the rules for Bailey to sit here, but we have not come to a conclusion yet. Why not let the two students confront each other and give them a fair result?" He continued, then looked at Keshit, "Go and call Tarven."

No matter how domineering Keshit was, he would never dare to act so domineeringly when Philip was angry. Although he was very unhappy, he still went to call Talven. However, the so-called murderer mentioned by Helia looked calm and composed, and he did not seem to have the remorse and guilt that he should have for hurting someone. He even gave Helia a provocative look after he came in.

Helia laughed out of anger. It had been a long time since she had felt so thoroughly offended. She had never been treated like this since she came to this world. Even Claude, who held her life in his hands, had treated her like this. How dare this boy?

"Hello, teachers. Is there anything you want me to do? I was just chatting with my father about the two team games that just ended." Although Tarven spoke politely, the meaning behind his words was not polite at all. He was secretly indicating that his father, who has a powerful background, is paying close attention to this competition, and you'd better think about it and give them a satisfactory result.

"I'm asking you, a murderer, to come and confess your crime, idiot. Where are you dragging your mother?" Helia didn't intend to give him any face and started scolding him directly.

"Ahem - Belei, be careful, don't greet people's parents right away, it's very uncivilized." Mobichues reminded, but his tone was cheerful, and there was no intention of blaming or teaching a lesson. He even raised his hand to cover his mouth, obviously trying to hold back laughter.

"I'm sorry, I only greeted your mother just now. What about your father? Tell me about it, or I might be so scared that I'll kneel down and beg for mercy." Helia has always felt that good character is reserved for people with good character. Some people are born mean and stupid. Talking about character and civilization to such people is like playing the lute to a cow.

"You!" When had Tarven ever been treated like this? In the academy, everyone who saw him would treat him with kindness. Who was this guy? How dare he scold him right away? Did he really not know him, or was he really risking his life?

"Beleyi, I called him here to confront you on the spot, not to ask you to scold him." Dean Philip reminded, but he knew very well that the little princess was angry and he could not put out the fire.

"Okay, for the dean's sake, I'll let you say a few words." Helia rolled her eyes at Talven, raised her hand to pick her ears unhappily, and reluctantly listened to what this idiot had to say.

"I didn't use any killing magic. It was just a very basic attack magic. The situation was urgent at the time, so maybe I injected too much magic power, which is why it was so powerful. That's all I have to say." Tarven suppressed his murderous rage and explained word by word. Looking at his expression, he didn't feel guilty about lying at all. If you didn't know him, you would really think he was being wronged.

"More magic power?" Helia couldn't help herself when she heard this. She stood up and summoned Theodore directly, pointing it at Talven, "Look at my wand, say it again?"

"Beleyi! This is the meeting room! Not a place for you to fight! Put down your wand!" Philip shouted. Fighting in front of so many teachers, even if she was of noble status, she couldn't ignore the school rules like this.

"It's just that I have a little more magic power, it's natural, don't blame me." Talven spread his hands and shrugged fearlessly. He was not afraid at all because he knew Helia wouldn't dare to do that. It was not known whether he used killing magic or not, but as long as she dared to attack him here, she would definitely not escape the punishment of expulsion.

Oh my god... he really dares to provoke the little princess like this...

Mobichues was sweating in his heart. To be honest, he was not worried about the little princess, but worried that the boy would be beaten to death by the furious Helia... How violent the temper of a fire magician is, how could he not know? Helia had been with her for so long, how could he not know?
