Chapter 16 Tiger Father and No Dog Daughter

"I want to see you now." Helia could wait, but their plan couldn't. This experiment was an accident, which made Helia understand that not everything would happen as smoothly as she imagined. What came earlier than tomorrow was an unexpected accident.

"This..." Philip glanced at Levita, then at Mobicius, and signaled with his eyes that the two of them should persuade the little princess. He almost fainted when he first saw her like this, not to mention His Majesty Claude who always doted on her.

"If she wants to see her father, just let her do it! It's not you who made her like this!" Levita rolled her eyes and said speechlessly.

The little princess has promised it. I don’t know what Philip is worried about all day long. Instead of wasting time on this, he might as well study magic!

"That's right," Mobichues responded.

I asked you two to stay here so that you can help me, not to argue with me or make me angry! Whose side are you on?

Phillip felt a terrible headache, but Helia didn't sympathize with him at all and insisted: "I want to see my father now. I have something important to tell him."

"Nothing is more important than your safety right now!" Philip shouted angrily. After letting out his anger, he suddenly looked at Helia. As expected, the other party frowned because of his loud words just now.

"Yes, there are many things in the world that are more important than me. My life is life, but other people's lives are not lives?" Helia shouted this in a hoarse voice. She stared at Dean Phillip and insisted, "I want to see my father, now!"

The mask of her usual gentleness, well-behavedness, and sensible obedience was taken off, exposing the stubborn side of her nature. As long as she was determined to do something, she would do it at all costs, not to mention that there were so many lives involved. If she was one day late, they would suffer one more day. Perhaps one of them would lose his life because of angering the Earth Princess. What qualifications did she have to be pretentious here?

The three of them looked over because of her sudden tough attitude. Only Mobicius knew why Helia was so anxious, but this matter was a secret between them. If Helia didn't say it, he naturally wouldn't say it.

Phillip sighed and compromised under Helia's strength. "I'll have someone prepare to go now. Do you need anything else, Princess Helia?"

His tone changed from being friendly and peaceful to becoming respectful. Since Helia gave the order as a princess, he, as a citizen of the Otis Empire, naturally had to obey.

"Not for now, thank you, Dean." Helia's tone softened, and she became her former approachable self again, but the three people present would no longer treat her casually or deal with her in the future.

After all, she is the extremely noble princess of the Otis Empire and the apple of the eye of His Majesty Claude. She is different from them. Even though she never puts on airs and does not regard herself as a princess, it does not mean that they can disrespect her identity.

The magic prop used for communication was a large mirror that was one person tall and two people wide. Philip had it moved into the ward where Helia was and placed it at the end of her bed, just enough to reflect her entire body in the mirror.

Levita is responsible for starting the communication magic. He is worthy of the title of genius creator as described by Mobicius. He has learned and mastered many kinds of magic and has made great achievements in various fields. He is especially good at making all kinds of magic props with strange effects. He is undoubtedly a leader far ahead on the road of "Gold of Creation".

Helia sat up with the help of others, and had the bandages on her upper body removed so that she would not look so embarrassed. She leaned against the bedside pillow and watched the mirror ripple outward from the center after the magic took effect. Then that point turned into a vortex, twisting Helia's figure reflected in the mirror into a strange shape, and continued to rotate.

Helia felt a little dizzy, she held her forehead and leaned her head to the side, her green eyes glanced at Levita who was standing next to the mirror, with a hint of doubt in her eyes.

"It will take time for the palace to report the news to His Majesty, so please be patient," Levita explained, and even he followed suit by calling Helia by her honorific title.

"Thank you for your hard work, teacher." Helia said politely.

Levita looked a little awkward. He looked at Helia, frowning again and again, as if he wanted to say something, but for some reason he didn't know if he could say it or whether he should say it. His awkward look made Helia uncomfortable, so she took the initiative to ask, "Teacher, do you have anything to say to me?"

Levita felt even more embarrassed when his little trick was exposed. He scratched his head irritably. Compared to Mobicius's bald head, Levita, who was also obsessed with research, had an enviable amount of hair. Although he was always sloppy and didn't like to clean himself up, his hair was a mess on his head like a bird's nest.

"I don't know how to call you. Calling you Your Highness, Princess, or Her Royal Highness feels weird, but if I just call you by your name, I'm afraid you'll yell at me like you just yelled at Philip..." Levita was a frank and straightforward person. She said whatever she thought, but this kind of personality made it easy for her to offend people.

Helia didn't have the energy to laugh, but her body trembled slightly and she chuckled twice. She slightly curved her eyes and tilted her head to look at Levita, "Teacher, you can call me whatever you want. Here, I am just Belei, a student of the academy."

"It's just that I find that sometimes I have to speak louder, otherwise people will pretend not to hear me."

Helia felt that the greatest benefit of power was that it could make people listen to you seriously. That was not necessarily a respect for you as a person, but rather a respect for your powerful status. Helia needed this respect.

Levita was surprised by Helia's insight. She looked young, but she lived so clearly. Should she say that she was worthy of being a child who grew up in the palace?

"Okay, okay, Belai, why are you so anxious to see your father?" Levita hooked a stool with her foot and planned to sit down and chat with Helia for a while. Unexpectedly, as soon as the stool was dragged over, Claude's figure appeared in the mirror. He looked at Helia through the mirror and asked uncertainly, "Helia?"

Levita's slightly bent knees suddenly froze, and his expression suddenly became terrified. He pointed at the mirror outside the mirror, then at himself, and finally at the door, then tiptoed away quietly.

Helia waved goodbye to Levita, and kept looking at him until he left. Then she fixed her eyes on Claude in the mirror and smiled weakly, "Father, how are you these days?"

"But you look particularly unwell." Claude didn't even notice that his tone carried a hint of anger. He waved his hand to dismiss the people waiting beside him, put down the documents in his hand for the time being, stood up and moved closer to the mirror used for communication, carefully observing his troublesome daughter.

"I just accidentally played too much. The teachers are here, so what can happen to me?" Helia smiled and tried to fool her.

"Where is Britney? Why isn't she by your side? Why didn't she protect you?" Claude asked three questions in a row, interrupting Helia's thoughts.

Although I guessed that Claude would definitely ask, I didn't expect him to be so anxious. After all, she is Claude's favorite child, right, right, right!

"Britney has to deal with some trivial matters recently, so she's not with me for the time being. The reason why I got hurt is a long story." Helia tried her best to choose her expression so that Claude would not be too angry and not blame others.

Claude looked at him quietly, with almost no expression on his face, except that his brows were furrowed so tightly that they could kill a fly. He did not reply, waiting for Helia to explain.

Helia briefly told Claude what happened from the time she discovered the human traffickers to the time she experimented with ancient magic. At the end, she said, "So my injury was completely an accident, but this accident hindered my plan. I would like to ask my father for help."

After listening to this, Claude crossed his fingers and supported his chin, his eyelids drooping slightly. After thinking for a moment, he looked up into Helia's eyes and said coldly: "I remember telling you before I left that if your life is threatened, I will force you to take you back to the palace."

"Father, I'm fine now. My arms and legs are intact and I can run..." Helia was halfway through her explanation, but Claude didn't intend to listen to her excuses. "I will recall Britney after the new magician who protects you arrives."

This means that the incompetent Britney should be replaced...

"Father!" Helia was dissatisfied with this. She had spent so much time with Britney that she had developed feelings for her. Besides, this matter was not her fault in the first place, so why should she take the blame?

"Helia, you are my daughter. I will not blame you, but if you make a mistake, someone has to be punished. It's either you or the people around you." Claude said ruthlessly, "If you don't want the people around you to leave you one after another, then you'd better find a way not to put yourself in a dangerous situation. Do you understand?"

I love you, so I won't target you, but the people around you will be doomed.

Helia was speechless. She could only suppress the resentment and anger in her heart and clenched her hands on her legs into fists.

"As for the underground palace you mentioned..." Claude leaned back, crossed his legs, and a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, as if he was laughing at who was brave enough to do such a life-threatening thing behind his back.

"Since the test site at Carter College is so unreliable, why don't you try it again in the underground palace?"

Helia was still sulking, but when she heard Claude's light words, she stretched her neck forward in surprise and suspicion, opened her mouth slightly, and expressed her inner doubts with her eyes.

"Father? Don't I need to leave some clues for you to track down?" Helia asked.

The reason why Fesimia and I decided to bomb the enemy's headquarters was because they were short of manpower and strength. They had no other choice but to do this extreme thing, to fight back in a way that would hurt the enemy by a thousand and hurt ourselves by eight hundred.

But since we have asked Claude for help, we must think of a more comprehensive and safer solution. At least we can't die together!

"You blew up their base camp. The guys hiding behind them will be injured if not killed. They will definitely be exposed. Are you afraid that we won't be able to find any clues?" Claude's tone was very arrogant. He didn't take the other party seriously at all, as if he was sure of winning.

"But even if we know who it is, it will be bad for father if we don't have evidence..." Before Helia finished speaking, she was interrupted by Claude:

"Since when do I have to find a reason to kill someone?"

He said this with confidence. Helia looked into his clear blue eyes and felt that there seemed to be a sea hidden in them, with turbulent waves rolling on the bottom of the sea that she could not see. How could she forget that Claude could sit on the throne safely, not by virtue, but by cruel means?

"To be honest, I don't have much control over the northern border, so it's not convenient for me to investigate these things for you there. As you said, the enemy is very cunning, and I don't have the ability to capture those prisoners for you without alerting them."

Helia understood what Claude meant. The northern border was the territory of Grand Marshal Hawke. He and Hawke had always had a bad relationship, which was getting worse. He rashly sent people into Hawke's territory to check things. Even if it was to arrest criminals, he should have said hello to him as the lord. But Claude did not want to negotiate with Hawke, and Helia heard that.

Their relationship is so bad... If Hawke knew that she was the one who set off the explosion on his territory, would he catch her and put her in jail... Helia worried in her heart.

Anyway, no matter what, she must not let anyone catch her! She didn't want to be hunted by the human traffickers, nor did she want to face Hawke so early. She was too weak and had no ability to fight against both.
