The Hero in Exile

Chapter 97: Frostwolves

"Leave the rest to Rest. If we could defeat him now, we wouldn't have brought him here. We are finally free."

"There shouldn't be too much of a problem with the two of them being together. After all, they're both strong."

Moran smiled contemptuously: "After all, Rest is the orc king, so he will be fine, but Brunson will be dead or alive."

In order not to be noticed by other orcs on the street, he still chose to wear a hood. After all, before the tribe was unified, there were many conflicts and grudges among the tribes, so it was not uncommon to hide himself here.

"So this is Darkley's territory?"

"Well, Lunster, are you sure this ruin is their tribe?"

"Master Demon, this was indeed the location the last time I came here, but I'm not sure what it looks like."

The reason why the three of them were like this was that, let alone the buildings inside, even the simple gate of the tribe was gone. No matter how poor other tribes were, at least they would use two leaves as gates and erect wooden stakes as walls within their own area.

They could only vaguely see...the charcoaled sticks and the grass which was a very different color from the outside. The grass outside was malnourished and at most yellow, but here it was directly charred black.

Lingyu's lower body turned into dust as soon as it was touched, and the temperature in this area was unusually high. Even though she was not wearing anything thick and had some resistance, she still felt hot.

"Dear guests, you are here." Dackley, who had arrived at some point, said from the side.

"I didn't even notice when it appeared." Moran was a little surprised that he couldn't even notice it.

Hearing the Demon King's praise, Darkley smiled undisguisedly: "If I don't have any skills, how can I be the leader of the Frostwolf tribe and be trusted by the Orc King? Please follow me to my humble abode and sit for a while."

There wasn't even a decent house in the tribe as we walked along. The further we went in, the more Frostwolves we saw. Physically, the men were muscular, and the children and the elderly all had round faces. There was no sign of hunger, but everything around was so dilapidated.

Most of the people here are in tents and the Frostwolves are exposed. What's strange is that most of them have bandages wrapped around their bodies and look injured.

Darkley is the chief of the tribe, but the place where he lives is not very big. It is just a completely enclosed yurt without even a doorman. Even if Lingyu doesn't know what the status of the chief is, this is too strange.

The group simply sat inside. After all, Dakley was the owner of this place, so he sat opposite them symbolically.

"Friend Darkley, what's the situation here? It wasn't like this the last time I came."

Lunst looked at everything around him and asked Darkley worriedly. After all, the last time he came, the Frostwolves' residence was ranked first in the city, but now it has become like this in just over a month.

"Don't get excited Uncle Lunster, this is all an accident."

"Flying dragon?"

"That's it."

Darkley's explanation of what happened was really bizarre, but it did happen. A fire dragon ran to their camp for no reason and wreaked havoc, rummaging around. Its power and fire destroyed the buildings and hurt their people. It was not until several warriors were killed and many people were injured that the catastrophe was stopped and it was repelled. The strange thing was that the young dragon only stayed in their camp from beginning to end.

"It was so powerful that we had to wait until the orc king, Lord Rest, came to repel it."

Lingyu didn't know much about dragons. She only knew from books that they were proud and solitary and rarely appeared in people's sight. But this situation was nothing like what was written in the books.

"Why would this dragon do this, Moran? Dragons are intelligent creatures and they wouldn't do something like this for no reason."

Moran thought about it but still couldn't come to a conclusion, so he shook his head.

"You are honored guests and there is no need to worry. I will show you around the city in a moment. Especially Lord Demon, you can also see where your people currently live."

"I can't wait any longer. Darkley, please lead the way. I can finally meet some of my compatriots after such a long time."

"It seems they have a friendly king. Then follow me and I will take you there."
