The Hero in Exile

Chapter 75 Lion Sea City

"Moran, come here quickly!"

Lingyu stood on the deck of the ship and waved at Moran, asking him to come over quickly.

"Here I come. I just woke up. Don't yell."

Moran dragged his tired body from the cabin to the deck. He asked the crew yesterday and he said he arrived early this morning. When he told Lingyu about it, he didn't expect her to be so excited. Wasn't she so excited that she slept later than him yesterday? How come she is still so energetic now?

Following Lingyu slowly, Moran walked to the edge of the bow. The morning breeze was so strong that it was hard to open one's eyes. Moran rubbed his eyes with his hands to wipe away the tears blown away by the wind.

Moran had to blink continuously to see clearly. A black line began to appear on the other side of the sea and was growing at a speed visible to the naked eye. No wonder she was so excited.

"Moran is finally here."

Lingyu's face was filled with uncontrollable joy and excitement. The thousands of words she wanted to say were finally reduced to this one sentence: a new country, a new beginning. The farther away from the Imperial Church, the safer it would be.

"Well, there's still a lot to do when we get there."

After that, Lingyu and Moran didn't say another word, but just watched quietly as the Lionheart Kingdom got closer and closer. After going through so much, they finally didn't have to rush around like before. All they needed now was to slowly plan and complete it.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at Lionheart Country. After you disembark, please proceed to the inspection area in front of the port." Not long after the captain finished speaking, the anchor was retracted and the ship slowly left and headed for the sea.

Lingyu looked at the people getting off the ship around her. Most of them seemed to be merchants who were still packing up their goods at the port. Moran and Lingyu each had a small amount of luggage on their backs, so they walked in.

Moran walked in front and looked around to confirm the location: "There are not many people there, let's go quickly." Moran took Lingyu's hand and started running towards the pier exit.

"Hey, hey, hey, slow down."

Lingyu was still looking for the checkpoint the captain mentioned. She was still looking when Moran dragged her there. Lingyu stumbled several steps before she could catch up with him.

"Slow down." Without the blessing of strength, he got tired after running with his luggage on his back for a while. Fortunately, Moran also let go of his hand and didn't hold on. He should have arrived: "This is really killing me. Why is this team running so fast if it's not long?"

Lingyu looked at the people in front of her and saw only a handful of them. She then looked behind her and saw no one.

"Don't you think that others are still packing their luggage or heading towards us? If we are slower, we will have to enter the city at night." Moran said as he looked at the shouting crowd behind him.

At this point, Lingyu didn't say anything more, but it was just as Moran said, the people behind had already found their places or packed up, and had lined up in a long queue.

"They are citizens of the Empire." The prosecutor checked the two men's identification documents, picked up a magic crystal and moved closer. A faint holy light shone from the top of the crystal.

"Yes, that's right. May I ask what you are doing in Lionheart Country?" The prosecutor handed back their identification documents.

"My wife and I have always heard that the buildings in Lionheart Country are very magnificent. In addition, the city where we originally lived, Ruilin City, was attacked by demons and is still under reconstruction, so we wanted to take an opportunity to come here for a trip." Moran said it with preparation.

"This is your wife, right?" The prosecutor pointed at Lingyu next to Moran.

Seeing a hint of doubt in the prosecutor's eyes, Lingyu couldn't help but hug one of Moran's arms with both hands: "Yes, I do have a problem." She showed a happy expression.

When Moran saw Lingyu like this, he realized that she was even better at acting than me. Moran also cooperated and smiled at the prosecutor, and in the eyes of others, they looked very affectionate.

"It's okay." The prosecutor turned to look at Moran: "You are such a good wife." Then he stamped the two's passes with a "pass" stamp.

After passing the checkpoint and out of sight, Lingyu dared to put down her hand: "I was so scared, I almost thought someone saw through me."

"Relax, this is not a good performance."

"Each each other."

When arriving at the port exit, a huge city wall stood in front of them, with huge lion statues standing on both sides particularly conspicuous. Walking into the city was like entering the Lionheart Kingdom in a true sense. If Lingyu remembered correctly, this city was the Lion Sea City under the capital.
