The Hero in Exile
Chapter 32 Prophecy
"Oh, thank you so much. I'm sorry that these two brothers are so troublesome."
"Um...oh, I'll go back first then."
Moran watched as the village chief easily used magic to control the Wu Ming brothers in the air. Although he had known that he could use magic, he still felt something was wrong.
Moran looked at the village chief who was walking away and said, "Don't think too much and go back quickly. It's really troublesome. Alas." Moran sighed.
But I just heard from the village chief that a little red leaves were added to the wine. I have only seen it in a book, but I don’t know if it is really a problem. Although I heard from the village chief that only a small amount can enhance the taste of the wine and it does not cause much harm to the body.
Moran looked down at Lingyu who was sleeping like a pig in his arms and said, "Is it really just a small amount?" He could only hope that she just had a poor alcohol tolerance.
Plop—
He opened the door of his room. Although it was dark around him, he could still roughly remember where to get up. Moran hugged Lingyu and walked into the room. After confirming again and again, he put Lingyu on the bed.
Moran got up only after putting Lingyu on the bed and covering her with a blanket.
"Why does it feel like taking care of a child?" Moran complained helplessly.
"I remember there is a candle here." Moran found the candle beside the bed through a ray of light from outside, "Burn." A flame came out from Moran's palm and lit the candle.
The light quickly illuminated the entire room. "It looks like it was cleaned during the days you were away." Moran touched the table and found no dust. "It's a very thoughtful hospitality, but you won't be staying for many days."
There is only one problem now. Looking at Lingyu who is sleeping soundly, the bed is relatively big and is definitely enough for both of them. However, if this guy wakes up earlier than him, he will be doomed.
"Forget it, I'd better go ask the village chief for a bed sheet and sleep on the floor." After thinking it over, Moran decided that this was the most reliable approach.
Moran was just about to leave quietly to find the village chief.
“Oooooh~.”
"What's wrong?" Hearing Lingyu's movement, Moran looked at her with some concern.
Lingyu was seen tossing and turning on the bed, and the quilt covering her body fell to the side under the bed. Can't this woman be more obedient? She makes trouble every day, Moran thought, but her body was still honest and prepared to comfort Lingyu to sleep.
"Sleeping is not reassuring."
"mom, Mom, Mom."
"Hmm?" Moran looked at Lingyu mumbling something and leaned over to listen.
"Dad...Mom...Mom, don't, don't go." Lingyu said weakly.
Although in a dream, Lingyu's hand was raised tremblingly.
"Are you having a nightmare?" Although I don't know what you dreamed about, I can see the pain from your expression. "I didn't expect you would have a nightmare." Moran smiled as if he remembered something.
Moran held Lingyu's hand and whispered in her ear, "Don't be afraid, I'm here." These gentle words seemed to have not come from the devil's mouth at all.
Lingyu's expression returned to calm again after being comforted. Moran wanted to get up but her hand was suddenly pulled. The girl's face frowned. It was the girl who held on tightly. Looking at the girl, Moran couldn't help but sigh.
"Well, since you caught me like this, I can only sleep here."
Moran lay quietly on this side, perhaps because of the aroma of the girl's wine, or maybe it was the reassuring tranquility, or maybe it was because he could finally have a good rest after a few days of hard work, Moran soon fell asleep.
Under the starry sky, Redwood Village was still as lively as ever, but after sending his brothers back, the village chief came to the watchtower alone. This was the highest place in the village and also the place closest to the starry sky.
Zhang Luo (the name of the village chief) waved his hand in the air and a starry sky appeared in front of him, and a few stars from the sky flew down from time to time and left a pattern.
Zhang Luo's eyes suddenly became clear as he looked towards the house where Mo Lan and Ling Yu lived. "The boundary between darkness and light is gradually blurring, but what changes will it bring if we let them go?"
"Forget it. I'm going to be buried soon. Why do I care so much?"
Zhang Luo waved his hand and the starry sky disappeared. He walked towards the tower with this hand, but the doubts in his heart still lingered.
