The Hero in Exile

As soon as they entered the door, Lingyu and Molan were shocked by the situation in front of them.

The small room was filled with books and scrolls, and Kaiden, sitting at the desk, no longer had his previous composure and elegance.

His hair was messy like weeds, and a brush was dancing in his hand. His fatigue was evident under his eye bags, and his other hand was not idle either, controlling magic to fly a few books from the pile on the ground to the table.

"You must be friends of my apprentice Phil, right? I heard there was some kind of curse, but as you can see I'm very busy here and need you to wait for a while. Just find a place to sit down." Kaden noticed the two people who came in, but he had too much work on hand to be distracted.

Lingyu looked around and saw that the ground was full of books. It was a big problem whether there was any place for her and Moran to stand, let alone sit down.

But after all, they would definitely not ask for such a small favor from others. With their physical fitness, they would not feel tired after standing for a while. They were just a little worried that the flying books would hit them.

"Auntie, you misunderstood. I just wanted to express that you really want to marry me. I, Moran, swear that I will only marry you and love you in this life, and I will never cross the line with other women."

The girl blushed even more than before when she learned the truth.

It feels a bit corny and I get goosebumps, but I still feel warm and happy inside.

At this moment, Lingyu remembered what Moran had said before, that this room was filled with Kaden's magic power.

Lingyu wished she could die right now. Why didn’t she have magic to make herself small enough to fall into the crack in the ground?

Moran sighed and calmed down a lot, but he still didn't let go of the hand that was holding his.

"Young people nowadays." Kaiden held his forehead with one hand and looked at the two people in front of him helplessly.
