The Hero in Exile

Chapter 12 Demon King

On a clear morning, a fight broke out between two teams in the demon town.

"Phew, what a beautiful battle."

When marching into the Demon King's Castle, they encountered a demon army. After killing the enemy commander, the human army won a small victory. Lingyu and Bourne sat on an unfinished building and watched the soldiers coming and going to clean up the battlefield.

"We're almost at the Demon King's Castle." Lingyu was on the second floor, looking at the towering castle in the distance.

"Yeah, it's time for all of this to come to an end. You'll be like the heroes before you, and from time to time there will be bards singing praises of your experiences, haha."

Bourne took off his helmet, and beads of sweat appeared under his golden hair. Bourne looked at the battlefield and smiled from the bottom of his heart.

"What fate will the people of the demon tribe face?" Lingyu asked the question in his mind.

"We will take them into the prisoner-of-war camp and let them come back here after the war. The Holy Light will tolerate everything. After all, this war is not their fault." Bourne answered after thinking for a moment.

Lingyu felt relieved. She could see the figures of demons at any time on the way here. They were just darker than ordinary people, with pointed ears and red pupils.

Under the collapsed house, you can see ragged demons gathered together. I will never forget that their eyes were filled with hatred and fear, as if the demons were myself.

Lingyu had already decided that after the war, she would never get involved in such things again. "It's time to go, Bourne. Today I will go to meet the devil." She patted Bourne's shoulder. Bourne nodded in understanding, put on his helmet again, stood up and walked downstairs.

"Brothers, pack up and prepare to march towards the Demon King. The brave man will chop off the Demon King's head as a symbol of victory in this battle!" Bourne chose a higher place and gave a passionate speech.

"Long live General Bourne, long live the brave man!"

As one soldier shouted, the soldiers behind him also raised their weapons and shouted one after another.

"You're just putting the blame on me, Bowen." Lingyu whispered.

"Warriors charge! For the Holy Light!"

The remaining demon troops launched an attack on the wall outside the Demon King's Castle, and the army was in chaos under Bourne's command.

Although Lingyu wanted to take action, since she was about to face the Demon King, she could not use high-level magic to bomb all the way to the Demon King's castle. She had to make sure that she was in the best condition.

This is the experience gained from various games.

"Pyroblast!"

A female mage sent out a fire explosion at the back of the battlefield, and the fierce flames engulfed the demons.

"The magician team led by Phil is here. Gather the troops to clear the way for the brave." Bourne raised his sledgehammer and the soldiers around him rushed over.

"rush!"

With Born as the leader, the soldiers raised their shields and squeezed out a path. "Magic barrier." Phil saw the right moment and together with the magicians cast a very strong barrier to trap the demon army outside. Although it couldn't last too long, it was enough.

Rumble—

The gate fell down in front of Borne, even the Demon King's Castle, "Lingyu is now!"

"okay."

Lingyu cast a wind-walking spell on herself, and with her agile body, she stepped on the heads of the demon army and somersaulted into the magic cube barrier.

"The rest, brave warrior, is left to you. We, the losers, will cover your retreat. May the holy light grant you victory." Bourne showed the momentum of a general and turned to face the enemy's surging army.

"May the holy light bless you." Although I don't believe in the holy light, I still bless such a person from the bottom of my heart.

"Born, get ready, our barrier can't hold up." Phil and his group of magicians were struggling to cast spells as they besieged the city. As some magicians had to face the invading demons while maintaining magic, many cracks appeared in the barrier.

"Expand the field, brothers, buy time for the brave man!" The field centered on Bourne expanded to the surrounding areas and controlled the soldiers.

Particles of light appeared on the soldiers' bodies, their fatigue was taken away, their wounds began to heal, and they felt full of strength.

As the barrier shattered, the Paladins fought against the demon army.

On the first side, Lingyu stood at the towering gate and cut it open effortlessly. There was no soldier inside, only a pitch-black corridor.

When they walked inside, it was pitch black with only a few candles for lighting. Lingyu quickened her pace, not knowing how long Bourne and the others could hold out outside, so she had to hurry. With the help of the Wind Walk Technique, she saw a throne at the end of the corridor.

After releasing the wind-walking technique, Lingyu moved forward cautiously from a distance. Suddenly, he drew the holy sword from his waist, because there was a man sitting on the throne.
