Know Yourself in the Dragon World

Chapter 24 Orientation (Part )

A blood-red moon hangs high in the sky, and the ground is cracked like a tortoise shell. If you are not careful, you will fall into the deep valley.

The hymn came from afar, it was an ancient text with a grand and tragic rhythm.

The tree stood before my eyes like a tower. It was dying, its roots protruding from the ground and its branches were bare.

"Exchange?"

Why is there a young man in a suit sitting on a branch?

What is he looking at?

distance?

But there is nothing in the distance.

"Exchange for what?" Lu Mingfei didn't quite understand.

"The war will continue and the old enemies will come back," said the boy.

“What the hell is going on?” Lu Mingfei felt like he was talking to a psychopath.

"So, you rejected me?" The boy raised his lips slightly and called out softly, "Brother."

The sound of the hymns suddenly became louder, and more cracks appeared in the ground.

It was also a natural disaster that made it impossible to distinguish between night and day. Giant trees fell to the ground with a loud bang, followed by the collapse of the dome and the ground.

The blood-red full moon gradually approached, illuminating everything in the same blood-red color.

……

"Wake up, you're still sleeping!" Finkel patted Lu Mingfei's belly and put the cup of Coke on his forehead, "This guy can really sleep."

"Not only can he sleep, but he can also eat." Han Qiu sat on the bench on the other side, flipping through Finkel's textbook.

Lu Mingfei suddenly woke up and Coke almost fell to the ground, but fortunately Finkel acted in time and caught it.

"You scared me." Finkel protected his beloved Coke, which was the result of his hard work.

Lu Mingfei rubbed his face. After the three of them finished their burgers, he lay down on the bench in the waiting room and fell asleep.

What happened to the dream I just had? Why do I have nightmares so often recently?

"Is the car coming?" he asked.

"Not yet." Finkel said nonchalantly, "It's normal. Sometimes you have to wait a day or two."

Serious? Lu Mingfei then noticed that there were only three of them in the waiting room, and even the staff had gone off work.

As for the hamburger fast food restaurant, it had closed long ago.

I was still thinking about going for another meal. Lu Mingfei was so hungry after sleeping so long.

"What time is it now?" Lu Mingfei asked again.

"One o'clock in the morning." Finkel said, looking at the display screen in the waiting hall.

"Why did Han Qiu sit over there?" Lu Mingfei had a lot of questions.

"Fingal has a smell." Han Qiu said helplessly: "I can't stand it."

He is no longer called "Senior" but "Fingal" now.

While Lu Mingfei was sleeping, Han Qiu and Finkel discussed various issues.

After a fierce confrontation, Finkel recognized Han Qiu as the best, and Han Qiu recognized Finkel as the idiot.

Lu Mingfei sniffed it carefully. Perhaps he had gotten used to it because he had been with Finkel for so long.

The smell is like going to the toilet. When you first go in, it smells very bad, but after squatting for a while, you no longer smell it, and even your body will be infected with the smell.

"The academy is going too far. They actually let you, an S-rank, wait for the bus with us." Finkel said indignantly, "Condemn it. We must strongly condemn it."

"Fingal, even if there is a plane to pick up Lu Mingfei, you and I are not qualified to be given a ride." Han Qiu closed the book and walked over to return it to Fengal.

Finkel's expression changed, but he still insisted on condemning: "Look at what you said, is that what I think? I'm speaking up for our 'S' grade freshmen! This is not about whether I can take a plane or not."

"Senior, it's actually okay." Lu Mingfei said, "Professor Guderian is too busy and has no time to arrange it. I agree to take the train."

"I see. How could you agree to this?" Finkel said, counting on his fingers. "First, you are an 'S' grade, so you should be treated accordingly. Second, you are an 'S' grade, so you should behave accordingly. Third, you are an 'S' grade, so you cannot arrive at the academy in a listless state. Fourth, you should just call me Finkel. Senior or something like that doesn't sound very comfortable. It makes me sound old."

"You are old." Lu Mingfei said.

"But I have a young heart, and my heart never ages. I will always be a freshman at Kassel College just like you." Finkel raised his hands as if he was giving a speech.

At this moment, bells and train whistles were heard in the distance.

"The train is coming." Finkel stood up quickly. It was pointless to talk about anything else now. He just wanted to get on the train.

"Fingal, take your luggage with you!" Han Qiu reminded.

"No." Finkel said arrogantly: "I have finished my meal."

"Damn, you have no sense of contract!" Han Qiu made an international friendly gesture.

"It depends on what kind of contract it is. There is no reason to abide by something similar to the Treaty of Versailles. As a German, I am qualified," said Finkel.

The CC1000 express train entered the station. A man in a conductor's uniform was ringing a bell, holding a flashlight in his left hand and a card reader in his right hand.

"Fingal, you haven't dropped out of school yet?" The conductor took Fingel's ticket.

"We can still survive for a few more years." Finkel said shamelessly.

Lu Mingfei stood next to Han Qiu, frowning. He always felt that something was strange, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

"Why do I feel like I have to concentrate to feel the presence of this conductor?" Lu Mingfei said.

The kind that as soon as you turn around, you forget about this guy.

Even at a glance, you will naturally ignore it.

"That's the effect of his words." Finkel got into the train, "Hurry up and get on board."

“Word spirit?” Lu Mingfei was confused.

What kind of academy is this? Bloodline, spiritual words, a bunch of incomprehensible stuff.

Han Qiu became interested and asked Mr. Han in his mind: "What kind of words is this?"

"Word Spirits·Ghosts can reduce their own presence to achieve a ghost-like state, without being noticed by others," Mr. Han explained.

Han Qiu couldn't help but come up with a plan. If he drove the 'Word Spirit·Ghost' to find a girl...

"I always feel like I'm in a movie. This train is like a soul train." Without Finkel, Lu Mingfei could only carry a suitcase in each hand and hold the ticket in his mouth.

"I've watched the movie Soul Train many times." The conductor took the ticket from Lu Mingfei's mouth. When he found that the authority was 'S' level, he couldn't help but said in surprise: "'S' level? I haven't seen it for a long time."

"Well, this guy really didn't lie." Finkel completely believed this fact.

"And me, and me." Han Qiu hurriedly moved forward, imitating Lu Mingfei, holding the train ticket in his mouth.

The conductor took it and said with disdain: "Don't put so much saliva on it."

The three of them got on the train, and the train moved forward again with the whistle blowing, speeding through the pitch-dark night.

Lu Mingfei had just found a seat and was about to sit down when the conductor came over again.

"Lu Mingfei, Professor Guderian wants you to come over."

“Oh, okay.” Lu Mingfei picked up his butt which was half sitting down.

"Han Qiu, you come along too," said the conductor.

"What about me? What about me?" Finkel asked with anticipation.

"What does freshman training have to do with a veteran like you?" the conductor asked.

"Confucius said, 'Review the old in order to learn the new.'" Finkel has read "The Analects," although he doesn't remember many sentences.

"Fingal, do you know what I will say?" Han Qiu asked.

"Laozi?" Finkel knew the name "Laozi" but had never read any related works. "I don't know."

"I said, it's none of your business." Han Qiu said, and walked towards the front carriage with Lu Mingfei.

It took Finkel a full minute to understand what Han Qiu meant.

"This Han Qiu is quite interesting." He whispered with a smile.
