Li Xueyue wore new clothes that made it easier for her to move around and walked out of her room.

Originally, Yan Xi was planning to dress her in a simple, light-colored Hanfu that wouldn't be too conspicuous. But Xueyue specifically requested a riding suit so that she could move easily while riding.

This was a surprising request, but what surprised Yan Xi even more was that there were already training robes in the closet.

The strange thing is that all the clothes in the wardrobe fit the princess very well. It was as if the clothes were custom-made by the prince before the princess arrived.

"Ready?"

Li Xueyue turned around. She was surprised to see Yu Zhen so soon. He had changed his clothes, too. As usual, he was wearing dark clothes. Specifically, black, nothing more.

"Here, put this on," he instructed her.

Yu Zhen seemed to be ordering, but it was he who put the cloak on her. She watched as his slender fingers quickly fastened the buttons near her neck. It provided her with an extra layer of warmth, but she knew it was to help them not be recognized.

"Is your face familiar to the public?" Li Xueyue asked him.

Li Xueyue finally found that he was also wearing a cloak, but his was black and hers was white. It matched her white and blue clothes very well.

“Not really,” Yu Zhen told her.

Li Xueyue knew that because not many people had the honor of meeting the crown prince, she wondered who would deal with the problems faced by unfortunate commoners if they could not bring them to court.

"Do you still have people's representatives to raise the current issues facing their communities?" Li Xueyue asked him.

"Yes, from the upper-middle class." Yu Zhen told her.

He lifted the hood of his cloak, hiding her face from all sides except the front.

Li Xueyue adjusted herself and stayed where she was. Soon, they began to walk along the corridor.

As they strode along in comfortable silence, Li Xueyue couldn't help but think of another idea to make the country a better place.

She wonders if being too ambitious will cause problems. She has so much she wants to contribute, but is Han-gun ready for a woman's opinion?

Li Xueyue knew Wu Yi would hesitate. But Han had female soldiers. Maybe the politics here would be different. Or at least, she hoped so.

Li Xueyue sighed softly at the sight of the creature before her. The sun glittered on his midnight black coat. He was as healthy as she had last remembered. A stealthy stud.

"Black Moon!" she cried, running to her horse.

Heiyue was led out by Lu Tianbi, who was holding a horse in his other hand.

His head jerked at the familiar voice.

A huge smile appeared on her face.

Hei Yue looked around, trying to find her through his dark eyes. He looked very interesting - going around in circles just to find her voice again.

"Here, child," she said.

Black Moon didn't need any more confirmation. He shook his head and freed himself from the reins.

"Come closer," she urged patiently, hoping that he would become more familiar with his surroundings.

"Good boy," she praised when he reached her effortlessly.

Li Xueyue reached out and patted the side of his face. Her other hand stroked his unkempt mane.

Li Xueyue was happy to see him as healthy as ever. She had thought the worst had happened to him. But now that he was before her, well-fed and alive, all her worries were gone. He was as energetic as ever, and when she stopped caressing him, he sneezed.

"I hope you're not causing any trouble,???" she said.

"Oh, believe me, Princess, he did it." Lu Tianbi said with a smile.

"Yes," Hu Dengxiao added. "I heard that he kept biting the stable boy. Princess, his sister was able to control the horse."

The corner of Li Xueyue's mouth twitched.

“He’s just biased, that’s all,” she said, knowing it had something to do with his childhood.

Li Xueyue didn't want to think about her neglected past anymore. It was painful to think about what she had gone through, not to mention Heiyue's abuse.

"Hmm, I think of my own horse." Yu Zhen muttered in a low voice. He took the reins of Xiao Lizi from Hu Dengxiao.

The little chestnut listened to him and wagged her tail. When he tried to pat her, she shook her head away.

Li Xueyue held back her mocking laughter. She had not forgotten how kind Xiao Lizi was. This horse allowed her to ride it without any difficulty. If it were Heiyue, he would struggle desperately, trying to throw the stranger off him.

"I don't have any snacks, so don't look at me." Seeing Heiyue pressing his wet nose into her palm, Li Xueyue chuckled, as if expecting something.

"Maybe later," she said fondly. She gave him one last pat and slid easily into the saddle.

Little did she know that she had already attracted the attention of Hu Dengxiao and Lu Tianbi. They didn't expect that such a fragile girl could ride a horse so quickly.

It’s hard to believe this is the same woman from the forest. The princess’ confidence on horseback is equal to that of a female general.

"Princess." Lu Tianbi said softly. "I have never seen you smile like this before."

Li Xueyue blinked. She didn't even realize she was smiling. She let out a chuckle.

“Black Moon holds a special place in my heart,” she said fondly.

Hu Dengxiao smiled and said, “Our prince’s position is definitely not that good.”

The next second, he screamed in pain.

"My head, my head!" he howled after being hit in the back.

"Shut up and get on the horse," Yu Zhen roared. He jumped onto Xiao Lizi without hesitation.

"You, how can you bully—wait a minute!" Yu Zhen almost stabbed Hu Dengxiao with his sword, and he screamed in fright.

"Your Highness, you are too violent!" Hu Dengxiao wailed. "I will cry to Tiantian about your abuse," he sobbed.

Lu Tianbi rolled her eyes. "Tiantian won't care," she said.

Hu Dengxiao pouted after hearing her words. "How can you stand by and watch your companions being abused like this?"

"Well, abuse, where?" Lu Tianbi put her hands over her eyes. She glanced around them.

"I didn't see that," she declared.

"You big bad guy!" Hu Dengxiao snorted. He crossed his arms angrily and stomped his feet hard like a big child.

A few seconds later, there was a sweet laugh. It was gentle and timid at first, then it became louder because of amusement. Everyone was stunned by the sound. It was refreshing, like a cool breeze on a hot summer day.

It was the first time that Lu Tianbi and Hu Dengxiao heard the Crown Princess laugh. It was an unfamiliar sound, but it captured their hearts. Her clear eyes curved and her lips pursed into a smile.

"You two remind me of my twin brothers." Li Xueyue said.

"Yes, I remember." Lu Tianbi said blankly.

Li Xueyue smiled brightly. She was happy to see that the twins had made an impact, even on the people of Han River. It had been a few days since she last saw them. She missed the twins terribly but knew that they had their own dreams to pursue and achieve.

Maybe, the next time they meet, she will have nieces and nephews, and she and Yu Zhen will have nieces and nephews of their own.
