Without waiting for his cousin's response, Li Wenmin left. He walked through one of the entrances that separated the various palaces in the vast royal domain. When he turned the corner, he stopped and lingered there.

"Are we really not leaving?" Li Xueyue asked in a low voice when she saw Li Wenmin leading everyone away from the door.

Li Wenmin nodded. "We don't need the Duke and the Second Prince to know where we are going."

"Okay." Li Xueyue said, leaning against the wall with him.

Thinking of his cousin, Li Wenmin couldn't help but become curious about the second prince's servant. Why was she wearing a veil? There was something unique about her that he couldn't point his finger at. He pondered the second prince's words.

Wang Jing is right.

Li Wenmin didn't believe that Li Minghua was dead. He wouldn't believe it unless he buried her with his own hands, even if that was a possibility that would never happen. He sighed softly. "Minghua, where are you?" He looked up at the sky and asked himself.

"Is life so unbearable that you had to leave us so early?"

“What are you thinking about?” Li Xueyue asked. She saw him staring deeply into space.

Li Wenmin reached out and touched her face, his fingers brushing against the thin, flowing gauze. He couldn't help but move closer to her. "Please never leave me, Xiaoyue."

Li Xueyue blinked. His eyes were full of anxiety and sadness, and she could only open her lips. “Brother Wen…you think too much ahead of time.”

"Even if you leave me, Xiaoyue, remember to come back occasionally." Li Wenmin found it unfair to ask her never to leave his side. She was a woman. When she got married, her life would be tied to her husband's family.

Even so, he couldn't help being selfish.

Li Wenmin wanted to keep Li Xueyue safe. He wanted to give her what Li Minghua never had. He wanted to see her smile the brightest and laugh the loudest. He wanted her to never, ever worry about anything.

Li Xueyue did not respond immediately. She stretched out her hands and hugged Li Wenmin, hoping to squeeze out the pain and fear from him. "It's okay, Brother Wen."

"I hope so." Li Wenmin sighed and patted her head gently. "I'm just a worrier."

"This time, you and Brother Chen are very similar." Li Xueyue looked up at him and smiled.

Li Wenmin looked less depressed now, and wore his usual little smile. He rubbed his nose with a crooked finger. "Humph, he should be honored to look like me. I mean, look how handsome I am," he boasted, pointing at his face.

"You don't look alike," she said with a smile. "Maybe it's because your personalities don't match."

“Thank God I don’t have his face. I mean, imagine being so brooding at such a young age? Oh my god! He reminds me of Dad.” Li Wenmin’s face was gloomy, his brows furrowed. In a deep voice imitating his younger brother, he said, “You should read more books!”

“Poof!” Li Xueyue covered her mouth and held back her laughter. She was worried that if the noise was too loud, someone might hear it.

“That sounds a lot like Chen,” she said, laughing. “I think he did tell me that before.”

"Chenyang looks and sounds like an old man in a young man's body. I pity my future nieces and nephews. He will be such a domineering and strict father."

"I have a feeling that you will feel the same way, Brother Wen."

"I'll never be that bored!"

"You already are."

“Hey!” Li Wenmin frowned, stretched out a finger angrily, and poked her forehead back.

“Ouch!” She cried while massaging her forehead. What’s up with the twins and their obsession with her forehead? At first Chenyang liked to flick it, and now Wenmin likes to push it back.

Li Wenmin rolled his eyes at how dramatic this sounded to her. He turned his attention to the entrance to the guest palace. He poked his head out from the corner and looked around to see if his uncle and Wang Jing had left. They were.

"Okay, let's go to Prince Yu Zhen's palace again, so that no one can see it and not be bothered." Li Wenmin said.

"Sounds like a reasonable plan." Li Xueyue nodded and adjusted her veil to make sure it covered her face.

"Let's go." Li Wenmin said. When he took the first step, he carefully scanned the surrounding environment. Seeing a person lurking in the corner, he nodded in that direction.

The three guards understood this immediately. They left the crowd and walked towards the servant lurking in the corner. But it was too late. The servant realized that he had been discovered and immediately fled from his original position.

Li Xueyue fiddled with her fingers nervously. Was the servant observing her interaction with Li Wenmin? Or was he just passing by?

A few minutes later, the guards came back. They knelt in front of Li Wenmin and bowed their heads. "Master, we were sorry that we couldn't catch him."

Li Wenmin's lips were thin. "Keep going in that direction. If you see anything suspicious, please let me know."

The guards nodded and left again.

Li Xueyue knew that they would be fine. They had the Li seal on them. No one would question their motives unless it was too suspicious.

“Hurry up.” Li Wenmin gestured to her. “You need to play the role of a servant better.”

"I know." Li Xueyue sighed and trotted to catch up with him.

Together, they walked towards the huge guesthouse. It was overly decorated and perfectly designed as a means of boasting to any visitors. The Emperor of Wuyi wanted to find out how wealthy Wuyi really was. Every foreign ambassador or diplomat would stay here. Obviously, their purpose was to report back to the country about the generosity of the Great Wuyi.

"Oh, that's really interesting." Li Wenmin said, tilting his head. "Many more people stayed than expected."

Li Xueyue understood what he meant. There were many servants and guards around. The servants were busy moving things. "Maybe there are a lot of things that need to be moved?"

"That being said, why would Yu Zhen leave them all alone like this? If I remember correctly, he came with his two closest friends... What were their names?"

"I think the girl's name is Lu Tianbi and the boy's name is Hu Dengxiao."

"Yes, that's their name. They are all famous in Wuyi, but I don't pay much attention to them." Li Wenmin replied. He began to walk along the sidewalk leading to the entrance of the residential area.

As expected, Han Jian’s guards swarmed in instantly.

"Stop! Tell our commander and the second prince your purpose!" One of them shouted in a stern voice. He was probably the leader of the group. He was wearing light armor, but it did not hide his muscular figure.

"As the general of Wuyi, I want to know the whereabouts of your leader."

The guard clasped his fists in greeting and bowed his head. "Hello, General. Unfortunately, we cannot reveal the location of our commander. It is confidential."

"Okay then." Li Wenmin shrugged. He looked around with great fanfare, especially at the servants walking back and forth in the corridor.

"Are you busy today?" he asked suddenly.

The guard nodded. "Yes, more than usual, General."

"What's the hurry?" Li Wenmin said as he nodded to the servants who were still moving things.

"We are packing, General."

"Ah, yes, I suppose it's to Hanjian?"

"I'm afraid I can't answer that, General." He bowed his head. "The soldier apologizes for his rude behavior."

Li Wenmin waved his hands, looking unconcerned. "Bah, don't worry, you're just doing your job, right?"

"Yes-"

"But there's nothing wrong with answering the questions, don't worry."

"Do you need help on your way? I heard it's raining and the road leading there is very muddy and dangerous. Is your carriage ready?"

"Rain?" the guard asked in confusion.

"Oh, it's okay. It's just my observation." Li Wenmin smiled faintly and brushed it off. "Okay, in that case, I won't bother you anymore."

The guard bowed deeply, and his men bowed in response. "We thank you for your understanding, General. It's very kind of you!"

"Haha, I understand." Li Wenmin said with a smile.

After saying this, Li Wenmin made another big gesture, indicating that he was leaving. He turned around and walked in the direction he came from, followed by his servants and guards.

Li Wenmin left the guest palace without saying a word, even taking a look. He didn't need to look back. He had already got the answer.
