Chapter 480 Thrilling, Moonlight Knight!
Chapter 480: Thrilling, Moonlight Knight!
When Robert arrived at Britain and met the British captain, he found that he had not yet gained a stronger power. He could not even break through the multiverse, let alone the omniverse. He could only be said to be in a father-like situation.
He directly rejected his invitation and said he would not go to New York. Even if something happened on Earth, he could take the whole of Britain away. Seeing that the other party was ungrateful, Robert was not without the intention of taking action.
Seeing the other party's calmness, he was a little unsure, wondering if he was really confident and still holding on! In the end, he didn't do anything and just left. After he left, Captain Britain took out the amulet and the star staff from his arms!
Obviously, he was confident. Once Robert took action, he would be the last one to die. Even if he released the void, it would be useless. The multiverse level could not split the omnipotent universe!
Robert continued to travel to other cities to invite superheroes. This time his target was Moon Knight!
Moon Knight, whose real name is Marc Spector, was originally a mercenary. He was seriously injured by his employer Raul Bushman while on a mission in Egypt.
Mark, who was on the verge of death, came to an ancient tomb and took his last breath. However, at this moment, the statue next to him appeared, and Khonsu, the moon god in Egyptian mythology, resurrected him.
Making him his own agent on earth, he was appointed the Fist of Khonsu and High Priest, Moonlight Knight enforces justice and protects those who travel at night.
Mark then brought the statue back to the United States and began his heroic career as the vigilante Moon Knight.
The timeline saw the addition of superhero teams such as the Avengers, West Coast Avengers, Secret Avengers, and Heroes for Hire.
Mark also suffers from dissociative identity disorder, and some of his personalities are millionaire Steven Grant and taxi driver Jake Lockley.
Early in his career, Mark fought street crime with the help of a network of informants, including his best friend "Frenchie" Duchamp, homeless man Bertrand Crawley, and restaurateur Gena Landers.
What's most defining about Moon Knight is his relationship with Khonsu, whether that stems from his own mental illness or true divine inspiration.
When Mark Spector first awakens at the foot of Khonsu's statue, it is unclear whether his survival is actually due to Khonsu's work, or if Spector simply attributes it to the Moon God. Later stories introduce Khonsu as an undeniably real god who employs Moon Knight as his agent.
At present, Mark Spector appears to be both mentally ill and an agent of a higher power. Khonsu does exist and has chosen Mark as his avatar.
But Mark's mental illness sometimes causes him to experience conversations with Khonsu that are only in his mind, not with the real God.
There are also differences of opinion as to whether Mark Spector suffered from schizophrenia or dissociative disorder since childhood, or whether Khonsu imposed the mental condition on Mark.
Khonsu is a multifaceted god, and Mark Spector has taken on multiple identities in the past in order to properly represent the various aspects of his god.
This includes his original alter ego Steven Grant, Jake Lockley, and Moon Knight.
An image of Captain America, Wolverine and Spider Man interacting with him.
Or his more recent series of identities and costumes, like Mr. Knight.
Unlike most superheroes, Moon Knight is willing to brutally injure and maim his opponents, sometimes even killing his enemies, as when he ripped off the face of Rual Bushman or carved a crescent moon into the forehead of his victims.
Previous powers: Due to the blessing of the moon god Khonsu, Moonlight Knight's physical strength, speed, endurance and strength will be enhanced with the moonlight at night.
Since Moonlight Knight's abilities are granted by the Moon Goddess, the degree and extent of his abilities depend entirely on the Moon Goddess's will, so this does not mean that he will lose his abilities during the day or in outer space.
Moonlight Knight can see spirits that are invisible to the naked eye. He can see things in the dark without the help of props. He can move stealthily in areas with large shadows. His injuries will heal because he is covered in moonlight.
After the Giant Serpent War, Moon Rider regained Kongsu's blessing and was able to absorb and store various divine powers. This ability was lost after Kongsu was defeated and imprisoned.
Powers: Enhanced brain function: The new series in 2021 shows that Mark's brain has undergone structural mutations after being transformed by Luna, which has a fatal effect on telepaths who try to enter it. It once instantly overwhelmed and destroyed the consciousness of hostile telepaths.
Immortality: Moon Knight was resurrected three times by the moon god Khonsu, and seems to have retained this ability even after Khonsu was imprisoned in Asgard.
Various skills: Having served in the United States Marine Corps and worked as a mercenary, Mark possesses the limits of human physical fitness and is proficient in a variety of fighting styles.
He is also proficient in all kinds of weapons, has accurate marksmanship, and is good at driving any flying vehicle. He has excellent detective skills and is good at torture and forced confession.
Moon Knight Suit: Spector's original costume included Kevlar armor.
It has a built-in two-way radio system so Spector can summon Duchamp, who usually provides backup in the helicopter.
Spector later upgraded the Kevlar to Adamantium, and Duchamp added dart launchers to the gloves. He added a flashlight so he could explore dark places, like in a subway.
Gliding Cloak: Although Spector cannot fly, he can unfurl his cloak to slow his descent from great heights, to the point where he can control his fall.
Because the cloak had to be flexible, it had no armor. Duchamp created the cloak.
Calcium Carbonate Armor Vest: Before he moved to the West Coast for surgery, he wore a suit made of calcium carbonate, which he claimed was almost as tough as adamantium, but more flexible.
The suit has several features: crescent dart launchers on the wrist, crescent cables for swinging or snatching, jump jets, a laser torch, and a few other features.
