Chapter 478: Sea King!
Chapter 478: Aquaman!
Robert left Nova's residence, came to the ocean, and rushed into it in an instant. He was going to find the king of the Kingdom of Atlantis!
Namor McKenzie, codenamed Sub-Mariner.
Namor Mackenzie is the son of Captain Leonard McKenzie and Princess Fen of Atlantis, and therefore can breathe freely underwater.
He is also a mutant (mutant's ability is flying). After he grew up, he seized the throne and became the king of Atlantis. During World War II, in order to avenge the Atlanteans killed by the Nazis, he joined the Allied super-powered team the Raiders led by Captain America, and repeatedly inflicted heavy damage to the Nazi Navy, making great contributions to the victory of the Allies.
Sometimes he fights for humans, and sometimes he is an enemy of humans. Therefore, in the eyes of humans on land, he is both a hero and a villain. But everything Namor does is just to protect his kingdom Atlantis and the people living there.
Mo McKenzie's father, Leonard McKenzie, was a captain. In 1920, when Leonard was on an expedition to Antarctica, his route was blocked by floating ice. Leonard ordered his sailors to use explosives to break up the floating ice.
But it also inadvertently caused serious damage to the ancient underwater kingdom of Atlantis. The Atlantis King Thakorr ordered his daughter Fen to investigate the cause of the explosion.
Fen was accidentally injured during the investigation, and Leonard took her in to live on the boat for several weeks. During this time, the two quickly fell in love and got married.
King Thakorr lost contact with his daughter and was worried that she had been kidnapped or killed, so he sent General Krang to lead an army to search. He found his daughter Fen on the ship and mistakenly thought she was captured, so he ordered an attack on Leonard's ship, resulting in the death of all the crew members including Leonard.
Fen was also brought back to Atlantis, and a few months later, she gave birth to a son, who later became Namor. Because his skin was flesh-colored, while the skin of Atlanteans was blue, Namor was discriminated against by his tribe and was considered a low-level "alien". After being labeled a freak, he was expelled by the priests.
Namor's mother was very conservative and did not dare to challenge the tradition that had lasted for thousands of years, so she took Namor and hid in the slums of Atlantis.
There, Namor was often ridiculed and bullied by others because of his skin color, which also led to his withdrawn personality.
After Namor's sister was born, the family fled to Manhattan. When he grew up, Namor discovered his own power and returned to Atlantis. After a series of struggles and battles for the throne, Namor finally gained the recognition of his people and became the new king of Atlantis (Atlantean Emperor), with the mission of protecting the ocean and his people.
During World War II, Namor discovered that the Nazis were massacring his own people in Atlantis, but because he was unfamiliar with the political situation in the land world, he launched a flood offensive to attack New York, which prompted the first Human Torch to step in to stop it.
It also led to Captain America and other superheroes in the 40s starting to unite and form the Raiders to face the Nazi threat together. One day after the end of World War II, Namor learned that someone was secretly worshipping an ice statue in the Arctic tribe. He was very angry and pushed the ice statue into the sea, thus unsealing Captain America and indirectly saving him.
In "Civil War", in order to deal with Iron Man, Namor ordered his people to steal a US nuclear submarine. The Civil War was triggered by the early death of his cousin Namorita.
Because Captain America was negotiating with Cyclops, Cyclops lost his mind and attacked Captain America, which led to a big battle between the X-Men and the Avengers. Namor challenged the Thing in the water.
As a result, he was defeated by the Stone Man. During this period, Iron Man created an anti-Phoenix armor. Not only did he fail to destroy the Phoenix, he also divided the Phoenix force into five parts, which were respectively possessed by Cyclops, the White Queen, Colossus, Mysterio and Namor.
During the war, Namor, one of the five Phoenix Apostles, took the lead in flooding Wakanda, causing a large number of innocent civilian casualties. Captain America led the Avengers to rescue and they defeated Namor together. The Phoenix Force was also forced to leave his body, and Namor escaped with injuries, but Wakanda and Atlantis had a blood feud since then.
Black Panther retaliated many times afterwards, massacring Atlantis and assassinating Namor many times. Later, with the mediation of other members of the Illuminati, the relationship between the two was eased.
In "Secret Wars", two universes (the main universe 616 and the ultimate universe 1610) are about to collide. When other members of the Illuminati are hesitating, Namor decisively activates the antimatter bomb for the sake of Atlantis in his own universe, and a large number of universes are destroyed.
After the establishment of the new and completely different universe, the survivors of the Supreme Squadron in the destroyed universe gathered again to avenge their own universe. So, they destroyed Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. and did many things that the Avengers would never dare to think of.
Finally, the Supreme Squadron destroyed Atlantis, and Namor was killed by Hyperion. The Avengers finally couldn't stand it anymore, and their old comrades, the first generation of the Human Torch and Captain America, teamed up to defeat the Supreme Squadron and resurrect Namor. After resurrection, he asked Hyperion to rebuild Atlantis with him.
Namor possesses superhuman strength, capable of lifting approximately 100 tons, and superhuman stamina, durability, agility, reflexes, and speed.
The strength of Namor's abilities is related to water. The longer he is away from water, the weaker his abilities will be, but he will still be stronger than ordinary humans.
Like all Atlanteans, Namor had a long lifespan and his physical attributes were well suited to underwater survival.
Namor has a special skin and blood circulation system that allows him to withstand the severe cold and extremely high pressure on the seabed. His highly developed eyesight allows him to see normally in the depths of the dark ocean.
Namor is capable of swimming at speeds of up to 60 miles (97 kilometers) per hour in water.
He also possesses the ability to fly, using the fin-like wings at his ankles to fly at an unknown speed.
In addition, Namor can also communicate with most marine creatures.
He has the genes of normal humans and Atlanteans, and his dual physiological characteristics allow him to survive underwater or on land.
When living on land, Namor requires occasional contact with water to remain alive.
