It's actually finished.

This book started in May last year and ended in May this year, taking a year, nearly 1.6 million words, and a total of 738 chapters (this chapter is not counted).

To be honest, when I first started writing, I didn’t even have an outline (many friends should have noticed this, Lao Zhao’s main approach is to do whatever he wants).

According to the big guys, this kind of book will be written before it reaches 100 chapters.

However, as this is my first book, I feel I have a responsibility to finish it, to do my readers and myself justice.

During the process of writing the book, some people praised me, some scolded me, some questioned me, and some supported me. Some friends came and went, while others accompanied me all the way.

Frankly speaking, if I read this book again from the beginning, I would find many unreasonable parts, toxic points, unfilled holes, and inconsistent logic.

The plot is not full enough, the characters are not three-dimensional enough, the story is not exciting enough, the rhythm is not tight enough, and as many people have mentioned, it is not exciting enough.

Lao Zhao is a pushover, always doing some saintly things that others may not understand or even sneer at. This is very fatal in other novels, but how can I put it? I heard this criticism but didn't change, which means that I hope he is like this.

I hope I have a friend like Lao Zhao, who has a kind heart, is not carried away by the torrent of worldly affairs, and helps everyone in distress to the best of his ability.

He may not be the reincarnation of a divine emperor, does not have noble blood, does not have a golden finger that can make him invincible, he is even just an ordinary person.

This book has been written, but Lao Zhao’s journey continues and the truth of the world has not yet been revealed. One day in the future, you may find that Lao Zhao suddenly pops up and smiles at you: Buddy, long time no see!

After finishing this book, I will probably take a break for a while. The next book is already in the works, but it is not a sequel to our Thief King. Instead, it is an attempt at a new genre. As for the legend of Lao Zhao, after I am ready, I will present it to you in a more mature way and better writing style.
