My Little Pony: Another World Adventure
Chapter 14 The Doubtful Traveler
At daybreak, Latan threw back the quilt and sat up, wearing only a pair of underwear. His well-defined abdominal muscles were as hard as armor, his huge pectoral muscles were like boulders, his broad shoulders were like city walls, and his thick back muscles were like the hilly plains outside the castle.
If it weren't for his childish face, no one would have thought he was an eleven-year-old boy.
Latan looked around at his surroundings. Even though he had been away from Germany for such a long time, he couldn't help but do this every time he woke up, to confirm that he had really left the dungeon that never saw the sun.
In the dormitory, Dante and Minamoto Kiyotaka's beds were empty, their pajamas were piled on the beds, and the rebellious sword was nowhere to be found. Only Colin was left curled up in the quilt with his thumb in his mouth.
Seeing that his two colleagues were missing, Latan could not help but feel a little worried. Could it be that Dante did not listen to his advice yesterday and was still intent on seeking revenge on Virgil?
There is a simple way to figure this out.
Crossing his legs, placing his hands on his knees with his palms facing the sky, Latan closed his eyes, cleared his mind, and activated the magic power in his body.
The purpose is not to amplify power, but to constrain it within a controllable range.
After all, after unreservedly integrating magic power into the magnetic field last night, I almost did a CT scan of the British Isles beneath my feet.
"Like soft water, like dark fire. It flows gently, and spreads. It penetrates the stone and pierces the monument, burns the grass and corrodes the forest..."
Silently reciting the mantra of his own creation, Latan's state of mind became as clear as a mirror. A sense that was completely different from the five senses - sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch - radiated from between his eyebrows. All material existence lost its form, leaving only the omnipresent yet silent magnetic field.
It is a series of lines and layers of waves that radiate from matter, intersect with other magnetic fields, disturb each other's "fields", and grow or weaken in the collision.
Then, Latan's vision suddenly changed.
On the basis of the magnetic field vision, a layer of gurgling magic was superimposed. It emanated from Colin's body, from the walls of the dormitory, from the paintings and sculptures in the castle, and even from the armor, and finally converged into a huge "field".
The entire Hogwarts Castle is a whole constructed of magic. Its magical fluctuations are completely opposite to the restless fluctuations of the little wizards. Although it is huge and majestic, it is quiet and calm.
This way, it can be distinguished from the magical fluctuations of Dante and Minamoto Kiyotaka.
Although Latan had his eyes closed, he could clearly "see" his two colleagues on the lawn outside the castle. The two were fighting, neither of them was using their full strength, it was more like an exercise to stretch their hands and feet.
The strange thing is that although Dante's magic power is very strong, the fluctuations it emits are very weak, only about ten times stronger than Colin's. It's like a reservoir is connected to a household faucet, which is powerful but cannot be used.
Referring to what Virgil said last night, Latan reasonably speculated that this was because Dante had not yet awakened his demon bloodline, which was why there was such an abnormal fluctuation in magic power.
However, Minamoto Kiyotaka's magic fluctuations were much stronger, but extremely unstable. At its strongest, it was equivalent to more than fifty Colin, and at its weakest, it was even weaker than Colin.
Because of the unstable dragon bloodline in his body, which is called evil spirit by the Eight Snake Clans?
Latan stretched out his arms, and bright dark purple arcs shot out from his fingertips. He combined the magic of basic mechanics to hook out a diary and pencil from the robe on the coat rack and recorded the power performance of Dante and Minamoto Kiyotaka.
Considerable magical fluctuations emanated from within the diary, which undoubtedly proved that it was an instrument housing the soul of a wizard.
Although I don’t know what achievements this man named Tom had in his life, he must be a very famous wizard since he could create such an excellent soul carrier.
I'll have to look it up carefully when I have time. Although there are many people named Tom, there are not many people in the world who can use magic to this extent.
By the way, how many Colins are there in Marlenya's magic fluctuations?
Latan subconsciously looked in the direction of the girls' dormitory, and then immediately slapped himself!
Colin jumped out of bed and asked sleepily, "Did it thunder?"
"No, I'm just punishing myself. I've read so many books, but I almost did something as dirty as peeping at the opposite sex." Latan covered his face with the bright red slap mark. "Although I don't know what's attractive about the opposite sex's body, since the book says this behavior is immoral, I can't do it."
However, those who deserve to be killed must be killed, and those who deserve to be avenged must still be avenged.
This is not because of what the book says, but because I really want to do it.
Books only tell me that knowledge is power; but books will not tell me that power is everything.
Latan got up, put on his clothes, went into the bathroom and washed his face with cold water. The red and swollen palm prints had already subsided. After hesitating for a moment, he unzipped his pants and aimed at the center of the toilet.
Colin had just laid back on the bed when he heard the crackling sound of rain. It sounded like a sudden and very long torrential rain. He turned over, covered his ears with the quilt, and muttered in a daze: "They said there was no thunder..."
Latan wiped his hands and walked out of the bathroom, picking up a course schedule printed on parchment from his bedside table.
Because the first-year students had just entered the school and were not familiar with the castle's maze-like structure, there were only two classes on other school days except for an extra astronomy class at 11 o'clock on Wednesday night - which was today.
(Note: September 1992, 9 was indeed a Wednesday.)
As for the extra time, it is naturally for the first-year students to adapt to the environment, explore the castle and complete their homework.
拉塔恩看见课表上写着9点到9点半有一节草药课,需要去户外的温室,跟赫奇帕奇的一年级生们一起上。然后从11点15到11点45有一节魔咒课,由弗立维教授单独指导格兰芬多学生。
This sounds pretty relaxed, right? But the more exaggerated part is yet to come - after lunch until the astronomy class starts at 11pm, the first-year Gryffindor students have no classes scheduled and have a full eleven hours of free time!
The heavy and tired footsteps of the sixth-year students could be heard outside the dormitory door. They were the most tired group of people in Hogwarts School. They had just gone through the torture of the OWLs (Ordinary Wizarding Levels) last year, and this year they had to prepare for the NEWTs (Final Wizarding Test) in the seventh year.
That was the final test that affected what positions they could apply for in the wizarding world after graduation, and it was very important. So even though today was the first day of school, even though it was just after five o'clock, they had to get up to review the increasingly difficult textbooks and knowledge.
It was precisely because of this that Latan could not understand why Percy, who was also a sixth-grade student, would sacrifice his study time to fall in love with Penelope from Ravenclaw at such a critical juncture.
Although the female class leader is indeed very beautiful, knowledge is obviously more valuable!
Scratching his thick red hair in confusion, Latan lowered his head and continued to look at the course schedule, which included some other information besides the courses for first-year students.
The castle was under curfew from 11pm, and no one was allowed to wander around the castle except students taking astronomy classes and professors on patrol duty.
Latan laughed. He dared to bet all the property Gregorovitch gave him that Fred and George, the naughty twins, must have wandered around the castle at night at least hundreds of times.
At the same time, this is undoubtedly a good time for time travelers to come out and plot.
This way, the ghosts who had sworn allegiance to him would have something to do at night.
Latan emptied his suitcase, placed all his books on the bedside table, put his clothes in the dormitory closet, picked up the empty suitcase and walked out the door.
Time to pick up the goods I ordered last night.
Arriving at the common room, in front of the large fireplace emitting warm flames, the sixth graders looked curiously at the red-haired giant carrying a suitcase. Percy put down his book, stood up and asked nervously, "Latan, you were expelled?"
Latan was stunned for a moment and said, "No, I just went to pick up some daily necessities that I had ordered. The quantity is quite large, so it is more convenient to pack them in boxes."
"That's good, that's good." Percy let out a long sigh and warned with a stern face, "You must not fight with others again. If you leave a stain, no matter how good your grades are, you will not be able to enter the Ministry of Magic."
The British Ministry of Magic would employ a half-giant from Germany? I doubt it, Ratan thought to himself.
Percy added, "You don't want to be like Hagrid, do you? He's always drunk and will be a gamekeeper forever. But that's not surprising, after all, he looks stupid."
Latarn's pupils shrank, his red hair fluttered in the wind, and his beard was as wild as a lion's mane. He walked slowly towards Percy, gradually covering him in the shadow cast by himself. His purple eyes stared at the prefect's huddled face, and whispered, "You don't need to teach me what I want to be. Understand?"
Looking at the red-haired giant's gloomy and terrifying face, Percy's face turned slightly pale. He swallowed nervously and whispered, "I understand..."
Latarn tilted his head slightly and pointed to his ear: "What did you say?"
"Understood!" Percy raised his voice, and the invisible pressure from the red-haired giant made him sweat. The sixth-grade students around him stood up uneasily, holding their wands intentionally or unintentionally.
"very good."
Latarn patted Percy's shoulder gently, pushed him down into a chair, turned around and walked towards the round hole in the wall leading to the outside world, and said without looking back: "Sorry to bother you all. Prefect Percy, I wish you can make greater breakthroughs in rhetoric."
Watching the red-haired giant push aside the Fat Lady's painting and crawl through the hole in the wall, Percy said to his classmates in fear: "Did I say something wrong just now?"
"Sometimes I'm really curious." His classmate sighed, "With your emotional intelligence, how did you manage to seduce the most beautiful girl in Ravenclaw?"
Latan walked alone in the dark castle. All the splendor he saw last night disappeared into the black veil-like shadows as the torches went out. The pale skylight shone through the narrow Gothic windows, leaving sharp streaks of light in the air.
It adds a bit of eeriness and horror.
The hot air exhaled from his mouth quickly condensed into white mist. Percy's words repeatedly echoed in Latan's mind. Those contemptuous words were full of contempt for the half-blood giants, and they pierced his heart like needles.
You are too sensitive.
Latan said to himself.
He was just giving you a kind reminder from his own perspective. You are too sensitive.
He is Ginny's brother, he is your friend, he cares about you, you are just too sensitive.
But... but...
Could it be that what a friend says can never be wrong?
Can you use good intentions as an excuse to accuse me of my ancestry?
Do I want to be a half-giant and be seen as an alien by others?
