My Little Pony: Another World Adventure

Chapter 102: Eclipse and the Golden Tree

There is a refuge for non-combatants 500 meters underground in the town in front of the college.

Alastor "Mad-Eyes" Moody, the legendary Auror who had filled more than half of the cells in Azkaban Wizard Prison with his own hands, was now personally guarding outside a separate cell.

Originally, as a mainstay of Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix, Moody had no need to do such a small thing personally, but before setting out on the expedition, the Wardenal of the Red Lion Knights specifically asked him to keep a close eye on the prisoner named "White Eagle" Griffith in the cell.

This man was a serious criminal that Latan Magnus and Rogal Dorn had both named as needing to be kept under strict surveillance. Griffith must not be allowed to commit acts such as self-mutilation or suicide that would prematurely end the atonement process.

Feeling the shock of the artillery fire from the ground, Moody's big blue demonic eyes pierced through the back of his own head and the wall of the cell, staring at Griffith, who had his tendons cut, his skin peeled off, and his teeth, tongue, and vocal cords pulled out.

Even this legendary Auror couldn't understand how a person wrapped like a mummy could commit suicide without being able to move his hands and feet.

But orders are orders, and Dumbledore agreed with it.

Moody, who had no good flesh on his body like Griffith, and was missing a nose and legs, calmed down and planned to do his duty as a jailer. However, the sound of footsteps made his already sensitive and suspicious nerves tense up instantly. He clenched his wand and shouted, "Who?!"

"It's me, Irma Pince, the keeper of the Hogwarts library." The thin, elderly woman answered. She looked like a malnourished vulture in her black wizard robe. She was holding an ancient book that was at least ten times older than her. Even the leather cover was old and cracked.

"Ms. Pince." Moody did not relax just because the other party was an old acquaintance of his. In his life, he had seen many dark wizards who could disguise themselves as other people in various ways. Even if he had magic eyes that could see through all traces of magic, he could not relax. After all, "always stay vigilant" was his life motto.

"Why are you coming to my place instead of seeking shelter with other civilians?" Moody asked.

Madam Pince glanced nervously at the wand in Moody's hand, and said from seven or eight steps away: "As you know, in order for Mr. Magnus to start the Sovereign, all the books in the school library have been moved to the shelter. I want to keep them better preserved to avoid being damaged by the moisture and cold underground-"

"Get to the point!" Moody roared.

"I found this while sorting out the ancient books in the Restricted Section!" Madam Pince quickly quickened her pace. "Listen to this passage, Mr. Moody. 'When the White Eagle is dying and the Red Devil has annihilated all hope, the Overlord's Egg will reveal its true form. When the Eclipse comes again, the Hand of God will appear from the other world, and millions of lives will offer blood sacrifices to celebrate the birth of the King of No Life.'"

She slammed the ancient book shut, and the fragile, yellowed paper fragments flew away. The two sunken, withered eyes on her large hooked nose looked at the legendary Auror in horror: "This is exactly the same as the current situation!"

Moody frowned his long, thick gray eyebrows. "This is just the crazy talk of an ancient wizard who was addicted to hallucinogenic drugs."

Madam Pince said anxiously, "But——"

"I have checked Griffith inside and out, and I didn't find any Tyrant Eggs." Moody's magic eye spun around, and his other normal black eye flashed with a paranoid light. "You go back now and continue to take shelter with the civilians."

"Okay... okay!" Madam Pince glared at the stubborn old Auror hatefully, "I'll go find Mr. Dumbledore!"

"It's the same with him! I won't change my mind because of a few words!" Moody roared at Madam Pince's back. His magic eye once again rolled back into his eye socket, piercing through the back of his head and the wall of the prison, and fell on Griffith, who looked like a corpse. "No..."

…………

Five hundred meters underground, in a cell with no exit except the cell door, a ray of white light as warm as the sun suddenly fell.

Griffith rolled his dry eyeballs. With his eyelids worn away by Latan, he had lost even the right to close his eyes. With blurry and bloodshot vision, he looked in the direction where the light came from. There was a man standing quietly in the cell, looking at him with pity. He was not even as good as a maggot on the ground.

Although his vision was covered in blood, the man's outline was terrifyingly clear. Griffith recognized him. It was... himself!

It was him in the past, the leader of the Eagle Group in the past, the high-spirited and handsome man in the past, the man who was adopted and raised by the one-armed giant...

He looked at Griffith and asked calmly, "Why are you scared in a place like this?"

Griffith let out a whimpering sound from his throat, and a surge of strength that came from nowhere made him twist his body in an attempt to get closer to "himself", but his limbs were cut and the tendons in his hands and feet were cut, so he had no way to exert any strength, and he could only slam his disfigured head to the ground again and again.

The blood soaked the bandage red and formed a puddle on the floor that was seamlessly joined by alchemy.

Suddenly there was a loud noise outside the cell, followed by a strong tremor. Moody growled, "What happened again?"

But Mad-Eye showed no reaction to what happened inside the cell.

"He himself" looked at Griffith and pointed his finger at the blood on the ground, "Have you forgotten?"

Griffith lowered his head and looked into his own blood. What he saw was not his ugly and mutilated face, but a huge black iron city leaning on the ground.

He suddenly knew that this was the Sovereign, a masterpiece that Guts had created with all his hard work. This should have been a fruit that he and Guts could enjoy together, but it had become so dilapidated in the hands of the Red Devil King...

"Go and take it."

"He himself" said: "Go and seize the power that belongs to you, go and seize Gus who was bewitched by Magnus, and go and seize the lives of those who are not loyal to you."

A scarlet egg-shaped object emerged from the pool of blood, with human facial features arranged in a disordered manner on it.

"Take this Overlord Egg that originally belongs to you."

Griffith's arms suddenly regained strength. He fished out the scarlet egg from the shallow yet unfathomable blood and watched its facial features wriggle to form a correct face.

"Become the King of Bliss without Birth."

Griffith's tattered vocal cords vibrated miraculously, and air came out of his mouth, turning into words heavier than a prophecy:

"Devotion."

The Overlord's Egg opened its eyes like a living thing, tears of blood rolling down.

…………

On the battlefield, in the Lancer-class knight mecha Sazabi, Harry stared blankly at the golden branches in the sky that seemed to be able to spread and expand infinitely.

Before he could confirm what kind of magic or supernatural phenomenon this was, he heard Percy, who was driving a castle lord-class knight mecha, exclaim in the communication channel: "Eclipse?! Now?!"

Harry quickly turned his head to look, only to see that the rising sun had turned into a crescent moon. There was a giant shadow that was definitely not a celestial body coming from the side of the sun, blocking out the light!

"Don't panic!" said a strange overlapping voice.

The Sazabi's auspicious instrument swept through, and Ginny and Luna crossed their fingers. An illusory face made up of dots of silver light emerged between the two of them. The three of them said at the same time: "Everyone, leave the battlefield!"

"You have no chance!" Kalana from the Avery family laughed wildly and raised her hands towards the golden branches in the sky. "I can feel it - my God, my warm snow, my power! They are all revived again!"

The next moment, her body suddenly expanded and deformed, and her lower body turned into a giant white lotus rooted in the earth.

Kalanna, whose body had grown rapidly, stood up from the lotus heart. She opened countless scarlet eyes in her silver hair and shot pale rays from the depths of her pupils into the sky. They turned into heavy clouds as heavy as cotton wool, scattering snowflakes that were not cold at all but extremely dangerous!

At the same time, the sun was completely obscured by shadows, emitting only a faint, desolate light at the edge.

The world is dark and gloomy, and the moment of eclipse has arrived.

…………

Rolling blood mist erupted from the cell, and in the mist were countless painful faces of men, women, old and young, spreading to every corner of the shelter!

Dumbledore's white hair danced wildly, and his old but strong body stood between the blood mist and the civilians. When he waved the old wand, it emitted a magical light that was like the collapse of the sky and the crack of the earth, and forcibly contained the blood mist in a corner!

"Blasphemy! Go back to the other world!" He roared like a lion, and a silver phoenix flew out of the Elder Wand. It was his patronus, and it tore a passage through the blood mist with the force of splitting mountains and seas!

But it's no use!

The Patronus that could easily kill Dementors only made the blood mist retreat for a short moment, and then rolled back with an even more ferocious force. Even the strongest white wizard couldn't help but feel the pressure rising sharply!

Professor McGonagall yelled, "Albus!"

Dumbledore looked intently, and saw the blood mist passing through the walls and the ground from other directions, extending its filthy tentacles towards the terrified wizards and Muggles!

"We can't go on like this!" Grindelwald shouted. The first Dark Lord used the Vulcan spell to control the blue spiritual fire and surrounded the civilians in the shelter. But he was old and weak after all, and his strength was not as good as before. The spiritual fire barrier was about to be broken by the blood mist. "Albus! We must evacuate!"

Aberforth, Headmaster Dumbledore's brother, shouted, "Magnus, the brat has already calculated that there may be an emergency in the shelter. I know a secret passage. Everyone follow me!"

Magnus...is this part of your plan?

Dumbledore was surprised and relieved. He shouted hoarsely, "I'll cover you!"

A hoarse voice said: "Don't be silly, they still need you."

It was Alastor Moody. The legendary Auror's eyes were full of self-blame. He hated himself for not noticing Griffith's abnormal condition in advance. "Leave the rest of the work to me. Albus... I have made an irreparable mistake. Please take good care of them."

Dumbledore raised his hand to stop him: "Alastor -"

"Get out!!!"

Moody raised his clawed wooden leg and kicked Dumbledore in the stomach. When the Hogwarts headmaster staggered, the Auror, who was over 70 years old, grabbed his cane and wand and rushed into the depths of the blood mist. "You beasts! Let me play with you!"

"Alastor!"

Dumbledore watched Moody's back being swallowed by the face rolling in the blood mist. He gritted his teeth. Reason told him not to waste the time Moody bought for them. He could only turn and rush to his brother Aberforth, roaring, "Where is the secret passage?"

"Here!" Aberforth raised his wand and cast a blasting spell that collapsed the wall of the shelter.

When the smoke and dust cleared, a huge portrait as tall as two people appeared on the wall. In the painting was a quiet girl wearing a water-blue dress. She had eyes as startlingly blue as Dumbledore's. She looked at her brothers and smiled without saying a word.

"Ariana..." Dumbledore was slightly dazed. This was his and Aberforth's sister. She was affected by the duel between him and his brother and the first Dark Lord that determined the fate of the wizarding world. After being injured, she burst out with terrifying magic power, causing her fragile body to wither instantly.

"It's been a long time since we last met, but there's no time to catch up." Grindelwald glanced at Ariana's smile and asked Aberforth, "And then?"
