【Law of the Abyss】

Chapter 44 Wandering

“Ask your heart, it knows.”

"Wake up, you wake up!" Feng Yelan was surprised to see the young man on the bed wake up.

"How long have I slept?" Mu Bei opened his mouth, only to find that his voice was terribly hoarse.

"I was so scared. You slept for seven whole days. I thought you would never wake up again."

Mu Bei stood up and found himself back in the room where he had lived before in Feng's house. The furnishings inside were still exactly the same as when he lived there before, which made him feel somewhat familiar.

"Why did you faint for no reason? If I hadn't gone over to see you, no one would have noticed." Feng Yelan still felt a little scared after thinking about it.

"The guy from your previous store, why don't you see him?"

"He's gone." Mu Bei said.

"Gone, then why don't you find someone else? If you don't mind, I can recommend someone to you."

Mu Bei thought about it and said, "Okay."

He was also a little scared. He didn't know why he fainted. What if this happened again? If there was someone else, they could send him to treatment even if he fainted.

Mu Bei had been lying in bed for too long, and his stomach was rumbling loudly.

Feng Yelan was stunned, then he covered his mouth and said with a smile: "Are you hungry? I asked someone to make some seven-ginseng porridge for you."

Soon, the steaming and fragrant Seven Ginseng Porridge came up. After taking a mouthful, Mu Bei felt relaxed all over and the strength of his body was awakened. He drank two full bowls and was still not satisfied, but was stopped by Feng Yelan.

"You can't drink any more. You just woke up. Seven Ginseng Porridge is the fastest way to replenish your vitality. An average person can only drink two bowls at most. If you drink too much, you won't be able to handle it."

"Thank you." Mu Bei thanked her sincerely.

Feng Yelan blushed: "You don't have to be so polite with me."

Seeing her expression, Mu Bei didn't know what to say for a moment and just stared at her.

The door opened and Feng Suheng came in.

"You're awake, are you feeling better?"

"Well, much better."

"Then I'll leave first." Feng Yelan guessed that his father might have something to ask Mu Bei, so he left tactfully.

As expected, Feng Suheng spoke when he saw Feng Yelan leaving.

"You need to get out of here."

Mu Bei nodded, "Okay." He accepted everything calmly without asking why.

Feng Suheng looked at the young man in front of him. He was clearly only in his teens, but was forced to take on such a big responsibility. He was a little worried about him, but more of it was heartache.

He seemed to see his past self, who also became the head of the Feng family at this age. Only he knew how much sadness he felt.

"Here, take this." Feng Suheng gave him a wind ring.

Mu Bei took the wind ring and looked at him puzzledly: "Uncle Feng, what is this?"

"Wind Ring, if you are in danger in the future, turn the Wind Ring to summon the Feng family's guardian beast, the Wind Beast. Remember, the Wind Ring can only be turned once."

Danger? Mu Bei immediately grasped the key information.

"Will I be in danger in the future?" Mu Bei looked at Feng Suheng.

Feng Suheng sighed: "Don't worry, people can only survive when they are in desperate situations. When you become stronger, you will be grateful for the dangers you once faced."

"Uncle Feng, I'm a little scared when you say that. I don't like danger. I just want to run my shop well and make some money. How can there be danger?"

When Feng Suheng didn't know how to talk to him, a man in black appeared. It was Lin Feng.

"You can't stay here, come with me."

Mu Bei stepped back instinctively: "No."

It was this person who brought him from his world here, and then ignored him and threw him into the Feng family. After a lot of effort, he had his own shop and could barely survive without relying on others.

Then this person came out again and said he wanted to take him away. Who knows where he would take him this time? He didn't like the life of wandering. He had finally adapted to his current life, and he had to go through that kind of uncertainty again. He was afraid and he refused.

Lin Feng's expression remained unchanged, "This is not up to you."

The next second, Mu Bei was controlled. He couldn't move at all. He looked at Feng Suheng for help, begging in his eyes: "Uncle Feng, don't let him take me away. I don't want to leave."

Feng Suheng turned his head away. He didn't dare to look at the boy's earnest eyes. He was afraid that he would feel soft-hearted. However, being soft-hearted could not change anything. People could not refuse their own destiny. This was his fate, Feng Suheng comforted himself in his heart.

Mu Bei was still taken away by Lin Feng.

"Hi, long time no see, do you remember me?"

As soon as Mu Bei got on the boat, the bow turned around. On the huge head of an animal that looked like neither a horse nor a dragon, a pair of pitch-black eyes stared at him.

"You are... the door?"

Mu Bei vaguely remembered that when he first came here, he was also sitting on a boat like this. He had never seen a talking boat, and its head was so recognizable that it was hard not to remember it.

"Yes, you have a good memory. You can know my name."

"your name?"

“Nothing.”

"Wuqi, you talk too much." Lin Feng suddenly said.

Wuqi rolled his eyes at him and said, "How heartless." Then he turned his head back and became the bow of the boat again, sailing forward quietly.

The boat was sailing in the dark. Mu Bei sat on the boat. Apart from the darkness, he could not feel any existence. This feeling was like the dream he had had before.

Just like in the dream, a light appeared in the darkness, and the boat carried him towards the light, taking him through countless doors, and finally to a pitch-black door. It was like a black hole and he was sucked in.

When he came to his senses, the boat was docked in a forest. He followed Lin Feng off the boat, and the boat suddenly disappeared. The difference from before was that Lin Feng did not leave.

Mu Bei felt relieved, at least he was not alone anymore.

"Where are you taking me?" Mu Bei asked, following him.

"arrive."

The man stopped, and Mu Bei discovered that there was a wooden house in front of him. It was an extremely ordinary wooden house. In such a forest, it might even feel a bit warm and lovely, but Mu Bei was inexplicably afraid. He didn't dare to get closer. He couldn't tell why he was afraid, but his body was very honest.

Lin Feng walked into the wooden house first. He turned and looked at Mu Bei, "Come in."

He wandered outside the door for a long time, and finally went in.

"Feng, you brought him here?" The one who spoke was Su Lin, the woman with a red python in her eyes. She was a little surprised and looked Mu Bei up and down. It had been a long time since she first saw him, but the young man in front of her still had no cultivation at all.

Lin Feng saw Su Lin and smiled: "I'll leave it to you. Time is running out."

"Aren't you giving up yet?" Su Lin looked at him with a trace of helplessness and pain on her face.

Mu Bei sensed the ambiguous atmosphere between the two and quietly stepped back, trying to stay away from them.

Su Lin found out and smiled: "Don't worry, I will definitely teach him a lesson."

Mu Bei felt his scalp tingling and he felt uncomfortable all over. His uneasiness caught Su Lin's eyes and aroused her interest. "You can't escape!"
