It’s finished!!!

To be honest, I never thought that I would be able to write a final note. After all, it was just a hobby at the beginning. I was really happy when I learned that someone liked to read the novel I wrote.

Because this is my first book, there are some shortcomings in all aspects. I would like to thank all the readers who have been so gentle and tolerant of me. Thank you very much. Without you, I might not have been able to persist until now.

When I started writing the book, I didn’t think too much about it. I just thought of a general story and started writing with the idea that “this might be interesting”. But to be honest, writing a novel is not as easy as I thought, because as the plot develops and the story progresses, many situations may arise that the author himself has not expected.

So everyone can see that many of the plot twists are very abrupt and bloody, which is one of the factors that everyone has been criticizing. I finally understood why an author I like would say that writing a book is a painful and happy thing. Filling holes while digging new ones is indeed painful and happy.

Of course, a mother will never dislike an ugly child. No matter what this book is like, it is my own. I like this book, and so do you all.

But compared to those abrupt turns, the most difficult character to write in the whole book was Issa, because she is too idealistic and very smart.

At the beginning of writing the book, I decided that Lind would eventually become the sole ruler of the empire, and there would be no other political system. After all, in this world view, the top priority should be to achieve unification.

So Isa was determined from the beginning that she would not be the heroine and would sacrifice herself. I originally wanted to arrange a grand funeral for Isa at the Northern Battle of the Golden Spike Plains. After all, it was reasonable for Isa to die halfway through and then be sublimated.

But I can't do it. I suddenly remembered some novels I have read before. The chapters that deliberately tortured the characters and then sublimated and preached were not what I wanted to see. I am a vulgar person. I want a happy ending, where everyone makes dumplings together in the end. Many characters also escaped because of this.

As for the next book, it is still a Western fantasy theme, but it is not a farming novel, nor a traditional knight adventure, but a modern Western fantasy.

Potions, dreams and gods.

Blood, disease and sacrifice.

Steam, machinery and the metropolis.

Esotericism, followers and ascension.

The protagonist travels through time and space to the body of a surgeon in a remote fishing village, the only parish doctor.

Well, this time the protagonist doesn't have to rely on his wife like Linde did, and the beginning will be much smoother than Linde, and there won't be so many concerns. It's a traditional cool story. (There won't be a situation where the protagonist is compromising even though he can become a star. If there is a trolley problem, I hope the protagonist can create a trolley that flies.)

To be honest, I used to be hesitant between traditional cultivation and this subject. After all, as you know, except for a certain novel that I like very much (especially the first one), the rest of this subject matter is very flop. Even some excellent works are only well-received but not popular. But I still want to give it a try without knowing my own limitations.

But before that, please allow me to take a short vacation and rest.

It's approaching the New Year, and there are many things to prepare in real life. Moreover, I managed to finish this book without taking a single day off, which even seems a little unbelievable to me. So I plan to take a short break, sort out the outline of the new book, write more drafts, and avoid making some completely avoidable mistakes like in this one.

I took a break for about half a month, and started serializing right after the busy New Year holidays.

There will be three more chapters, or postscripts, which I will post together in the evening. At this point, the book can be considered truly finished. Anyway, thank you for reading my novel.

Here I would like to wish you all a happy new year again. Let us have a drink together. In the new year, everyone should live well. I wish you all a happy and harmonious ending in life.
