Ying Zuo Zhen Zhao was in a good mood today and drank a lot of wine. After another glass of wine, he pointed at Yuan Ye and said to Yamashita Xianzang and Inoue Kawa:

“Yamashita-kun, Inoue-kun, you may not know much about Shi Kai-kun, but he is a very talented person.

Although he is young, he has a very high level of calligraphy attainments. The famous sculptor Matsushita Heisaku, whom you mentioned today, is also a famous calligrapher. I don't think his attainments are necessarily as high as Kaijun's."

"Really? Kai-kun's accomplishments were indeed very high at that time."

Both Yamashita Senzo and Inoue Kawa showed expressions of surprise on their faces, but they did not agree in their hearts. They thought that General Kagesawa was just bragging, probably because he was drunk.

Even if General Yingzo admired Yuan Shikai very much, how could he, being so young, have the same high attainments in calligraphy as Mr. Matsushita? His carving skills were even more unique. Mr. Matsushita had been immersed in calligraphy for decades, and his skills were so profound that a young man like him could not compare with him.

So although these two people complimented him, they didn't believe it at all in their hearts.

"How can I compare with Mr. Matsushita Heisaku?

General Yingzuo, you are too kind."

He didn't know any Matsushita Heisaku, who should be a great calligrapher. However, with his own top calligraphy skills, he didn't take this person seriously. However, he still had to put on some attitude, otherwise it would not be in line with his humble personality.

"Mr. Shi Kai, you are still too modest. Although Mr. Matsushita is someone I admire very much and I have collected several of his calligraphy works, to be fair, your work is still slightly better."

Ying Zuo Zhen Zhao seemed to be still not satisfied. To be honest, the person he admired most in calligraphy was Yuan Ye. He simply couldn't let go of the several works Yuan Ye wrote for him. Whenever he had free time, he would take them out to appreciate them. Every time he appreciated them, he could re-experience a new understanding and realm. Matsushita Heisaku's works seemed to be unable to bring him this kind of artistic enjoyment.

I had a few drinks today and was in a good mood, so I wanted to show off for Yuan Ye in front of Yamashita Xianzo and Inoue Kawa.

Ever since this young man showed his amazing calligraphy skills and unfathomable Go level, Yingzuo Zhenzhao was amazed and accepted him, thinking that his cousin had good taste.

In his heart, he had already tacitly regarded him as his future cousin's husband. He felt that such a genius was worthy of his cousin, even though he was Chinese.

He felt that his future cousin-in-law would sooner or later become world-famous for his calligraphy and Go skills, which would be a glory for their family, so he was happy to promote him in front of guests.

He also knew that Yamashita Xianzang and Inoue Kawa might not believe him, after all, Yuan Shikai looked so young, so he continued:

"Yamashita-kun, Inoue-kun, after dinner, come to my study for tea. I'll have Shi Kai-kun demonstrate his skills and create a piece of calligraphy and painting. Then you'll know what I said is true."

"How could we not believe the general's words? We are also very interested in seeing Mr. Shi Kai's calligraphy."

Since Kagesa Yoshiaki said so, Yamashita Senzo and Inoue Kawa could only agree. Especially as an expert on China, Yamashita Senzo also loved Chinese calligraphy. He started practicing calligraphy since he was a child and had a good ability to appreciate calligraphy.

He believed that after looking at Yuan Shikai's calligraphy, he would naturally be able to judge its quality. Since General Yingzo praised him so much, he must have written well, but no matter what, he could not compare with Mr. Matsushita.

However, he would not reveal it at that time, otherwise he would offend General Yingzuo. He still has some sense of propriety.

In order to ask Mr. Matsushita to carve the legal currency plates, he went to Mr. Matsushita's home many times. He was also fortunate to see Mr. Matsushita writing with his own eyes. He was simply full of admiration. He asked many questions about calligraphy and felt that he benefited a lot. Mr. Matsushita also gave him a piece of calligraphy, which made him ecstatic.

After all, Mr. Matsushita is very conceited and never gives his calligraphy to others easily. His works are very popular, but he only writes according to his mood and sometimes does not write a piece for a long time.

Therefore, his works are very expensive. Despite this, many people still flock to them, because dignitaries are proud to collect his calligraphy.

After the dinner, everyone took advantage of their drunkenness to come to Yingzuo Zhenzhao's study, chatted for a while, drank some tea, and then Yingzuo Zhenzhao stood up and asked Yuan Ye to paint.

Yuan Ye did not refuse. Under the gaze of everyone, he spread out the rice paper on the desk, concentrated his mind, and began to write.

In a moment, it was completed in one go, and a piece of cursive calligraphy appeared on the paper.

It is about Yang Shen's "Linjiangxian: The Rolling Yangtze River Flows Eastward".

the river is long and tempestuous, it was like a hero.

Success or failure turned empty.

Aoyama is still there, How Many Suns.

The white-haired fisherman Qiao Jiangzhu used to watch autumn and spring.

A jug of muddy wine meets together.

Many things from ancient to modern times are all being discussed with laughter.

This poem is also one that Yuan Ye likes very much. It tells the rise and fall, success and failure of heroes throughout the ages, and shows the philosophy that nature is eternal and human affairs are impermanent. It is bold and detached, and has both a profound insight into history and a calm and open-minded attitude towards life.

The artistic conception of this poem itself is very good, and when paired with Yuan Ye's vigorous calligraphy, it is a perfect match.

The whole work is like a startled snake hiding in the grass, a thirsty lion swimming in the river, a collapsed cliff with a sudden rain and a rainbow of energy, and the sound of metal and stone can be heard when the brush tip breaks the silk. It is beyond human power and is truly the work of nature.

Yuan Ye was very satisfied with this work. He just expressed his feelings and did not care about the comments of the people present. What did their comments matter?

He put the brush on the pen holder and said lightly, "Sorry for the poor performance," still looking humble.

However, this masterpiece still stunned everyone present. Eiza Tadaaki and Tokugawa Mitsuko had already anticipated it, so their reactions were normal, but their admiration for the work deepened once again.

However, Yamashita Saki's reaction was different. He was stunned and astonished. He was a connoisseur and immediately felt that Matsushita Taira's works were completely incomparable to the one in front of him, whether in terms of artistic conception, technique, or other aspects.

To be fair, Matsushita Heisaku's works are not bad, but compared with Yuan Shikai's works, they are still a level lower. General Yingzo is not bragging, this person's calligraphy level is indeed higher than Matsushita Heisaku's.

Yamashita Xianzang exclaimed in admiration:

"General Yingzuo, thank you for opening my eyes today. You are right. Shi Kaijun is indeed a genius in calligraphy. Mr. Matsushita gave me a piece of calligraphy not long ago. I studied it carefully and benefited a lot. I think Mr. Matsushita is at the highest level and no one can surpass him.

But after seeing him today, I realized that my eyesight was shallow. There are always mountains beyond mountains and there are always heavens beyond heavens. "

What Yamashita Xianzo said was not flattery, but came from the heart.

He had already made up his mind and would ask Yuan Shikai to give him this calligraphy work. After returning to Japan, he would show it to Mr. Matsushita when he went to Mr. Matsushita's home to check the progress of the carving.

He knew that Mr. Matsushita was very conceited, and wondered how he would react and what he would say after seeing it.
